Hi Jen...................

Hey there Kristin!

I am about to go to sleep...so tired tonight and we have a bunch of stuff going on this weekend. Kids have dance, we are going to a hockey game, kids have a lock-in for dance, going to my mom's birthday dinner (2 hour drive each way), lots of laundry and some serious working out. Do you think it will all fit into 2 days? :confused3

I hope that you will have a great weekend and everyone will stay healthy!!!

Jen

Oh my gosh Jen, that is a lot to get done in one weekend. Do not over do it!!

You'll never believe it Hopie had a fever when she woke up this morning. She is acting totally fine. So not sure what it is all about. I did take her to the Dr. this morning, she is a bit congested. Could I just scream??!!:scared1::scared1:

Hi Gang, My DW was asking me if we were going to be having dinner the Late Seating again and it made me wonder. I am set for the Late Seating for this cruise and was thinking about changing to the Main Seating for dinner. Last cruise we were at the Late Seating and had no problems. What would be the benefits of the Main Seating beside eating earlier ? Thanks for the help. -HarborWhaler pirate:

Dining always seems to be a hot topic, with no right answers. Personally we preferred the main dining. We enjoyed having our meal together and then having the evening free with going to the shows or hanging out on deck. By the evening, the kids were hungry again so they would be able to order room service.

The main reason we do main is because you get to the Pirates party earlier and you might actually be hungry again for the buffet after. Late dining is nice for the days you want to stay off the ship later. One other thing I noticed during early seating last time is we never did see a sunset.

This is true. My husband left dinner for a litle while to take sunset pictures. That alone though, is not enough to make me switch to late dining. I don't like to eat late. It is really just a personal preference for each person.

Hi everyone!! Saw a strange substance of sorts in our backyard today........... it was GRASS!! There's still a 2' foot pile of snow around, but I actually saw the ground today :) Spring can't be far off now....

We can't get to excited here for Spring. The weather is predicted lots of snow and icky stuff all week!!:scared1::scared1:

I know, it's starting to show through here too! I guess being at 45 degrees for the last week is helping get rid of this whiteish/brownish stuff. :thumbsup2

Our next cruise is on Carnival so I'm doing the anytime dining. I'm going to do some early and some late seatings so I can decide which one I really like more then I'll know for our cruise. I'm on early seating for our cruise so it shouldn't be any problem to switch to late.

We've done both main and late dining on previous Disney cruises. Both have their advantages/disadvantages. We simply don't like eating big meals that late though - it's just our preference. Anytime dining sounds like a pretty cool concept though - you'll have to let us know how that goes.

Grass?? What is that? Is that the stuff that is green in the summer, that has to be mowed?? We don't have any of that LOL. In fact we have snow falling right now, yet again! It's actually been quite nice the last week, but no grass. I am so tired of the pile at the end of my yard, I should take a picture for ya, it's shrunk some by compacting, but it's not going anywhere. And it's so ugly!!
Time to picture Castaway Cay in my head...

Hey Everyone! I have been kind of on and off our thread as you all have posted in the past couple of days . . . haven't posted myself as I have been sick. I am now on day 2 of staying home from school but hope I will be able to go back tomorrow. It is just a really bad cold but it has totally wiped me out.

Early VS Late Dining - This is something that we have debated ourselves for each cruise and we end up falling in the category of late diners. I agree that there are pros/cons to both of the seating times and think that what works differs for each family. We like the late dining because we feel like we have so much more time before we have to get ready for things in the evening, especially if we are skipping out on the show. On our last cruise, we skipped out on the show on formal night and went up on deck 10 and took beautiful pictures of the family at sunset. For us, the bad part of eating late is not being hungry for late night food. We feel like we are not really interested in taking advantage of late buffets or room service. Our servers have been great with getting the kids their food quickly with late dining. This works out great because we feel like they are there with us for most of dinner but then head out to what they want to do allowing us to linger and enjoy our meal. We will be doing late dining on the Dream as well.

Hope everyone is having a great Tuesday!
Jen
