Good morning all! Have a great weekend, unless you're in California then just try to stay dry! :goodvibes My mom told me there are several inches of snow in the mountains of southern CA. She works in San Diego and ended up getting stranded down there. She couldn't make it back up the mountain! Luckly she has her mom to stay with. Kritter and penguin, I wish I were going to Disney in Feb. I'm soooo jealous, I guess I'll just have to live vicariously through your vacations, are either of you going to do a TR?

My newest kids are funny moment. At school we have a mouse that is a rather tricky one to get rid of so they put down a glue trap in the closet. So yesterday in the kindergarten class the other teacher looks in the closet and there is a bunch of hair on the trap. She tells us all that our friend the mouse is half bald now and asks the kids what we should name our bald little friend, without hesitation one little one speaks up. "Brittney Spears" :rotfl::rotfl:

The usual here.... soccer game @ 9AM.... swim meet at 2PM..... pretty light day actually! :rotfl:

UGH!! 9 AM!! I am hoping to be just getting up then!!:rotfl::rotfl:

I haven't slept 'til 9 since.................. :lmao:

Just doesn't happen here!

We have ballet every Saturday at 9 AM.

Kristin - So wish that I could be getting up later but I am with Harry...sleeping until 9 just doesn't happen in our house either.

Happy Friday Everyone................................

I am soooo glad this week is over~~long week and another long one ahead of me. But glad for a few days home with the family...........I am going to start packing for our Disney Trip this weekend too!!

Tomorrow, we are going to take the kids to see the Movie Tooth Fairy it looks to be a funny movie......

What is everyone else up to this weekend??

This weekend we will be busy with running back and forth to the dance studio. The kids have a dance clinic all weekend. Today Ben dances from 9-2:30 and Emily dances from 2:30-5:30. Tomorrow Ben dances from 10-11:30 and Emily dances from 10-1:30.

Then there is the shopping, the laundry, the cleaning, all the papers I brought home to correct, the lesson planning, etc.

The most important part of the weekend will be the football game on Sunday. I cannot sit and watch it so I am planning on doing an overhaul on Ben's bedroom while the game is on. Paul will be glued to the TV downstairs!

I also have to figure out some inside workout because right now it is raining outside - it is suppose to then cool down and coat everything with ice. So much fun for driving around in all weekend.

Happy Weekend Everyone!

I need some help, folks.....

I found the fish extenders on ebay, just a few choices.....does anyone else have any thoughts as to where to find them?

Also, how about all the magnetic door decorations? Who makes those?

Thanks everyone....can't wait!!!

Jen--HAve fun with all that running. My dh ran a race this morning. He is crazy with the rain and the ice. I had planned on going to the burnsville mall--we will see how that goes.

We are packing food for Haiti tomorrow with my church at Feed My Starving Children. Odd is very excited. She loves to pack food. Then we will watch the game. Go VIKES!!!

As to the fish extenders, I got a name from ebay too and another email from a disser. They are all so cute and I am not a sewer at all. I can email or forward you the pics from the one I got an email about. Just let me know if you want it. PM me. I know I am so crazy for thinking this far ahead. Once I have that, then I can think of ideas for the little gifts.

WOW! Good for your DH! I would not want to be in a race today. Does he do a lot of races in the Twin Cities? I am going to be registering for a 5K around Como in April. My goal is several 5K races this year...maybe a 1/2 marathon in the fall...then hoping to do the Disney Princess 1/2 marathon with Jude next March.

DH and I did just go out and run. It was very wet and slick in spots. I can't say that I like running in the rain. Some spots it was not too bad but when the wind blew and the rain pelted you, it wasn't really all that fun!

So far it has been a productive weekend so I must keep going!
Later -
Jen

I bought mine off of ebay and it was great. We got to select the color background and characters for each member of the family.

We leave on Feb. 4th-8th a quick little trip. We are taking the kids for the weekend to celebrate their 8th birthday. Not happy that it has to be this short but the darn school thing always seems to interfere with our Disney Planning....LOL!!:lmao::lmao:
But it will be just enough to hold us over till our April Trip.

We are going to be there on the Twin's Actual Birthday so it should be FUN. We will be hanging out with our friend from Orlando. Our friend Heather will also be down there so hoping to also see her on Sunday. The actual day of their Birthday. I can't believe my babies are going to turn 8!! Then we will also be visiting with our friend who works on the Disney Magic. So the girls are sooo looking forward to that.

We took the kids to see the Movie "The Tooth Fairy" today and it was sooo cute!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Kristin - Are you guys getting excited to be going to WDW? I am excited for you!!! I hope the girls have a fabulous birthday there!

Your day sounds a lot funner than mine. I ran in the rain, :headache: cleaned Ben's room, :scared1: and did a few errands (I had to get a food scale so that I can be more accurate with counting my points).

I am planning on a busy day tomorrow too!

FYI: we(family of 3) signed up for the "give a day-get a day at WDW" we ended up working at Love and Care ministries here in Abilene. we worked a 2 1/2 shift at the center sorting clothes to be given to the homeless. In return the center and the host (official wdw) verified with disney and we each got a one day pass to a walt disney world park; which we will use just before our mar 2010 cruise on the magic. the pass can be used at wdw or disneyland (which you pick which one befoe you work) beteen now and dec 15 of 2010. if you havent heard of this program; debs disney website has all the details.

Don,

That sounds like an AWESOME experience for you all. How are you feeling?
I looked to see where we could volunteer around here and there is only one place and it is for adults only. I was hoping, the kids could get involved too!!

Keep checking back, they post new things as they come up. The kids and I did our thing last week and they had a great time. I had to drive out to Virginia, but they had a family volunteer day where the kids volunteering was the main focus of the day. They made bracelets for children in the hospital, dog toys for shelter dogs, goodie bags for homeless children, and valentines day cards for foster kids. We plan on going back next year too since the kids had such a great time.

Hello all!!
I just had to rescue us from page two!!:scared1:
Everyone must be pretty busy!

Everything is going good here...just getting ready for another storm. We ended up getting a little over 6 inches of rain last week in our area, and I just heard on the news that Big Bear (town in our local mountains) recieved 5 feet of snow!! Yikes!!
I never thought I would say this but I am not looking forward to more rain!!

I hope everyone has a great week!!

I'll bet there will be great spring skiing this year! Maybe I should be planning spring break out there! I love skiing at Big Bear, although it has been many years since I've been there.

We went part of the way up Mount Charleston yesterday in Nevada, and they had over 3 feet where we were, at 7000 feet. Not sure how much they had at the top. And they didn't get all the rain that you guys did. Crazy!

The rain here is awfull.

Hopie, has the stomach-bug and was home from school today. I hope we get rid of this before we leave for Disney or before their Birthday Party on sATURDAY!!:scared1::scared1:
