Great, news that David and Ann are joining all of us. Were they able to get some type of room?

Nope, not yet. I asked Carol to keep checking - if a port hole room or inside room opens up, they would take that. Our fingers are crossed that something will become available!!

I am hoping that something opens up for them! We would love to have them on the cruise with us!:goodvibes

Sent you an e-mail this morning...I am now going to get going on all the work I need to do today! :laundy:

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!

It has been awhile since I have posted or even checked in, hope everyone is well. I have more time now so I can catch up.

Hi all, we're back from Disney! :welcome: to the new cruisers. I am NOT a happy camper right now, the temp here is only 16 degrees. I think I'll just go back to Florida after I put the kids on the bus tomarrow! What do you think they'd say when they got home and saw the note on the counter "too cold, gone back to Disney" :lmao: I hope everyone had a great new years eve, we were sitting on the beach at the Poly having pina-colavas (virgin ones for the kids). I took pictures of how cool the fireworks are with my cell phone, I'll see if I can figure out how to put them on my computer. The great thing about new years at Disney is you get a two-fer, they do the same fireworks on the 30th (so we did those in the MK) and then the next night they do it again so you can go to Epcot or where ever else you want to go and not have to deal with the :crowded: masses of people. I think I might have to go back next new years eve too, the fireworks are even better than the ones on the 4th of July in Washington DC.

Happy New Year, everyone!!!

Yesterday was the family dinner at our house - for 16. But now I am left with mounds and mounds of left overs. And not the healthy kind either - garbage bread (only 1 loaf, thankfully!), mac and cheese, lasagna, brownies, eath by chocolate, chocolate chip cookies, rye bread (my downfall...)

Hope everyone has a fun weekend! Happy 2010 :goodvibes

What is garbage bread? and can I have the recipe?

Can I have your 16??? It was -21 here this morning, not including the windchill!

I would love 16°! Yesterday our HIGH was 1° (not including the windchill) and today we MIGHT make it to 6°!

I am NOT looking forward to supervising on the playground tomorrow...30 minutes of standing around outside will not be any fun.

We call is "garbage gread" because my Italian great grandmother used to make it with the "left overs" and ends of the meats from the week or ones that were stored in the saltbox out back. LOL.
Here is what you need to make about 9 loaves:

9 loaves pizza doungh (you don't have to make your own since they sell it in grocery stores)
1 pound each of: hard salami, capicola, sliced pepperoni
3/4 lb of sliced provolone
shredded mozzarella (I have no idea how much - we sprinkle it pretty liberally)
garlic powder
parsley
oregano
pepper
2 egg whites

leave dough out to rise and get to room temperature
Once at room temperature, roll out dough as if you were making a round pizza
Lay dough out on floured surface
starting at left upper side of dough, lay salami out in a row- edges touching
lay out a row of pepperoni, just down from the salami - the edges should touch each other and to the salami row above
do same on next row down with capicola
I continue rows til dough is covered
lay row of provolone on top of whatever row is in the middle
sprinkle with mozzarella
add pepper, oregano, parsley and garlic powder according to your taste (we use ALOT of garlic!!)
roll up jelly roll style, tucking in edges as you go

Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes on aluminum-foil lined cookie sheets
At 35 minutes, take out and brush with egg whites - this will make it crusty
Bake another 10 minutes at 350 degrees

I usually make several loaves and freeze them to eat on a cold night!

Very, very yummy! Hope you like it!!:flower3:

We'll take your 16 too! According to Sean, it is "freaking" cold out here. Still snowing too...

Jude - I would love to figure out how many points this would be on my WW diet because it sounds incredible! :goodvibes I might plug it into the recipe calculator to find out...it might be better not knowing how many points it is though! :rotfl:

Tell Sean it is "freaking" cold here too! We are on our way to go grocery shopping and I do not want to go outside! I would send just Paul but I need to be sure that I have food choices that work for me this week.

I just checked our thermometer - it is about seven degrees out. But it's windy - BRRRRRRR!!!!

As for the garbage bread, I KNOW I don't want to know the points. :lmao:

...waiting for Epiphany so i can take our tree and creche down. But the tree looks pretty looking out toward the window with the snow falling outside...but the snow can stop soon (is anyone listening to me????)
