Web Site News -

Worked on our cruise web site this weekend a little bit. Here is some of what I did::surfweb:

1. Added new members to the list. I am looking forward to adding more of the new people who have recently booked the cruise (or have just found this thread). :thumbsup2

2. Added one new member to our FE list (30 families at this point).

3. Worked on the Kids Connect page. You are now free to send me your kids information if they want to be listed. :cutie:

4. Put up a new poll for our cruise name. I listed the results from the 1st poll and put up a new, shorter poll. This final poll will stay up for 2 weeks and then we will have our name! Let me know if you think that the time frame works or if we should change anything up. I think we already have 5 votes on the new poll!

5. Added a Just for Fun page! I put the video up that allows you to "experience" the AquaDuck. :woohoo:

6. Last but not least, a new blog entry for all of you who follow along with my little chattings! :rotfl:

That is it! I doubt I will do very much on the website this week (little changes only) because report cards are due on Friday. I have a lot to do to finish writing all the narrative reports. Still feel free to send me information or requests though!

Later,
Jen

You know the old saying there’s one in every bunch…

It was beautiful today in upstate NY. All the husbands in my mom’s neighborhood were out hanging Christmas lights and decorating… of course while we women sipped coffee and supervised the jobs.

My DH decorated my mom’s house as a surprise for her since she’s on vacation. He’s up on the ladder hanging the icicle lights and stringing the garland… making Clark Griswold proud.

The guy across the street is putting out 3 sad looking light up deer. Oh dear did he have problems. The deer butts wouldn’t light up, he had a very unhappy threesome. With some direction from the wives we told him to replace the bulbs. Why don’t men listen? After spending a half-hour in the garage working on the things he realized he had a bad bulb. Can you say, I told you so and run fast?!

Then there’s this guy… the next door neighbor. You know the type… young, married, two children, first time homeowner, center hall colonial, washes the cars in the rain. The guy that cuts the grass with a scissor, rakes the leaves before they fall, perfectly manicured lawn and landscaping. Well… he’s up on the ladder with a tape measure and a level hanging his white lights off the gutters. Matching the strands exactly, measuring the drape, hiding the plugs underground on the bushes out front, wrapping the columns… you get the idea. After several hours and his wife’s approval he’s done and the family goes out for the night.

That’s when I decided to hillbillie prank his house. DH and I ran a big orange extension cord across the yard… and went to work. We draped multi-colored blinking lights on his fence, put foil wrap on his front door with a plastic wreath that plays jingle bells and the icing on the cake… stuck an inflatable Santa holding a pink flamingo on his front lawn. It’s our little way of saying welcome to the neighborhood! I’m so dead when he gets home!

Hi everyone. Busy weekend we had. The outside of the house is almost done, lights are hung, wreaths out, garland on the porch rail, the herd of deer is getting put out as we speak. Next weekend is the Christmas tree and the rest of the inside decorating. Boy there is a lot to do for this holiday. Just waiting for the Christmas cards to come in and then I can address those and get them done. I just love Christmas time! :santa:

We got our first Christmas card yesterday. You know who you are - thanks!!

Hope you all enjoy the rest of your day.

:tinker: Janeanne

Glad, you liked the card!!:thumbsup2:goodvibes
