August 16, 2011, Disney Dream - Part 4

Lisa - Sounds like you are going to have a very busy week! I am kind of like you though - you have to get ready for the trip but you also have to get the kids ready for school and your own stuff done as well. So much work! Both DH and I are moving into new classrooms and we still need to at least get a start on that this week.

I saw this and for a second thought "Yea! we will be on the ship in one week", instead of what I should be thinking which is "Yea! we will be at MK tonight!!!! :yay:

I can't wait to meet everyone on the ship next week, I hope everyone has safe travels and no more ailments!

Yea! Safe travels to you too! We will see you all soon! :woohoo:

I just realized that Ben (5yo) has no dress shoes. Will anyone frown on him wearing sandals (teva type) or black sneakers to dinner? :confused3 Or do I run to Payless and see if they have something?

I just bought Jake some black tennis shoes for dinner from Sears yesterday, but the cool thing is that they are suede looking so they won't look too out of place and still look cool for school. Also if you do go to Payless they are having their BOGO sale, went there yesterday too. Good luck!

and these little cuties....

they're my cruise shoes and I love them. The kids love them when I wear them to school and they're comfy because they're Birkenstocks.

Why, why, Why..... did you post this? I found some similar on line that can be here in 2 days shipped. I am trying to talk myself out of them but I want them soooo bad.

They are adorable and that is why I am not going to allow myself to search for them! :rotfl:

Sorry that I just posted a nice, easy link for you.......

Although, I see now that I bought the last pair in my size for $41. Now it looks like they are all around $80.

My list of things to do today seems way too long! I am printing out artwork to make my magnets right now. We had some magnets but wanted a few more - plus, we have 2 cabins this time so that means another door to decorate! Once they are printed, I will need to cover them with clear shelf paper and then get the magnets on. I am hoping to finish most of the work this morning,

I also need to get going on my laundry. :laundy: There is so much of it to do and I really can't pack until it is done so I best get going on that as well.

I might need to search online for Crocs and see if they can get here in time. Yesterday I took DS to the MOA ony to discover that the Croc store is no longer there! So we still are without his favorite Crocs at this point.

Yesterday I was able to find the perfect shirt to complete my pirate outfit. I will be wearing a long black skirt with a white top. DD will be wearing the same. DH and DS will be wearing some sort of shorts or pants with the top part of their pirate costumes. We decided to go really casual pirate this year because I didn't want to have to buy costumes online for the high prices that I was finding.

Okay - time to work on a few more magnets. :thumbsup2

I wonder if my 5yo can wear his Lego Pirates in the Caribbean shirt for Pirate Night? or is the fact that it is a t-shirt disqualify it as dinner attire?

Yes, lot's of people wear t-shirts on Pirate night!

And for shoes for the 5 year old boy, I could care less what boys wear on their feet LOL. I think when they are younger like that, they are exempt from proper footwear rules LOL. Sneakers of any kind would be fine.

Jen, I think there is a Croc kiosk at Ridgedale, I could check there if I have time before we go. There is a Croc store at Albertville too, but I know I won't have time to make it up there, sorry!

Thanks Erika - Kristin volunteered to look for some for me too. We all have so much going on that I am going to check online and if we can get them...I will order them. If we can't get them....that is fine as well and he will live.

Thanks for the offer though! :goodvibes

There is a Crocs kiosk in the mall that is 5min from my work (will be here through Friday). Do you want me to check there for the ones you need??

Even better...if you want to call them (Crocs, King of Prussia Mall, 610-265-0375) check if they have what you need ...then I can just pick them up and toss them in the van. You can get them on Monday night!

DCL just called me to let me know the updates on the new boarding times. She was soo helpful and kind to call me with the update!!

What did she say?

Fanastic!!! gotta love fast shipping!!

What did she say?

She was at the port on Aug. 2nd....She said that people who are driving themselves were not allowed to line up or park much before 11~~hence the back-up that we saw pictures of she said the back-up was not much more than 5-10 minutes....People on hotel shuttles were getting dropped off right @ 11:00 and were in the terminal pretty quickly!! Not much waiting for them. People who were driven by private transportation that they were getting dropped off @ 11:00 too!! She said overall it went very smoothly and that concierges and Platnium guests were being let on between 11:45 & 12:00pm!!

She said in the event that the terminal is full to capacity people will be made to wait. DCL is still advising guests to arrive @ there designated times to ensure that things continue to run "smoothly."
