I guess this heat wave this week is getting all of us ready for what to expect when we walk outside MCO for the first time in August.

LOL, I've been to MCO several times in the summer, and what we have here is worse!!!!!!!! Thank goodness!!
Nassau in August, that I have not done, and I imagine that will be nasty hot!

I have done Nassau in August and FL in August....this is way worse. This reminds me of staying in the tent village in the jungles of Costa Rica.

We have had stormy weather all morning but it looks like the sun might come out soon so we will see how bad it gets today.

We will be at CIS near Universal until the morning of the cruise so no pre-cruise meet for us. :(

Although a sore subject I did follow-up with DCL on arrival times. My original plan was to show up around 1:00 pm when the terminal is cleared out, check in, and walk on the ship. The DCL rep said that is the way it is with the Wonder and Magic, but not the Dream.

DCL has been doing their best to "fine tune" the embarkation/disembarkation process for the Dream, but moving 4,000 vs. 2,800 is more difficult than perhaps they expected.

The port opening @ 11 AM is a result of DCL still working out the kinks with disembarkation. At 1:00 PM (our originally planned arrival time) the terminal is still busy so (as the DCL rep said) getting to the terminal @ 1 PM doesn't work as you would expect like it does for the Magic and Wonder.

That being said, we are getting to the port at 11 AM.

Have you ever had the problem with sealice?
And have you gotten your order from them? That thread says they are a terrible company and numerous people have had their cards charged and never got the product.

Our skies here just turned black and nasty, but it slid by us. Andover is about to get hammered though, they have cut into programming to warn of the possible tornado formation and large hail that is heading into the downtowns in the next half hour.

It has been funny reading thru most of the post today and every stating hot hot and humid it is in their part of the States and It seems like just yesterday we were all burried under snow and frozen ground!! Time is really flying by!! and as our lovely tuesday post points out only 28 days until we leave!!!:banana:

I haven't ever had a problem but don't really want to risk it. I have read good and bad reviews about the company and that is why I used PayPal to order it. If I don't get it when they say I will, I will file a complaint with PayPal and get my money back immediately. It is easier then with credit cards.

I will have to continue to listen to the radio. We don't have TV at the cabin but I am hoping the worse of it has passed by us now. I don't like hearing that there are tornado formations going on.

Most fish extenders are 8 inches wide. There are ton on e-bay if you don't mind paying for them. I bought mine off of ebay for my last cruise.

I just found one on ebay that is just a few dollars more than the one at Walmart. It is tiny..but will work!

I was avoiding ebay because the ones I looked at early on were pricey and I wanted to try to find something myself...apparently that didn't work out too well!

Please STAY SAFE everyone !!
Not nice to talk about tornado !!! :sad2:

It's been really hot here lately too. I was out on the beach on Sunday for only about half an our or so and I got burned a little!

How is everyone doing with their planning and packing? I'm almost done with my care packages, and we still have 4 weeks until the cruise. Yay for getting things done ahead of time!:banana:

Well that Hurricane Bret (or whatever it is) is causing the waves to be choppy up here in Florida. Supposedly the storm is causing rough seas for the Dream. Here's to hoping it calms down for us!

Are there any live trip reports from the Dream??

Did concierges tell you they would call you after the Aug. 2nd cruise to let you know how things went with that cruise? They told me they would call me so we will see if they do. I have the women's direct line if she does not call me back!!

Not exactly that I know of, but I have a friend that works on the Dream, and I heard from him earlier today and he said that the seas were a bit rough on the cruise that just ended today.

UGH, I hope they still were able to go to CC!!
