Wow! nice swingset, remember the old metal ones that we grew up with? This is much nicer than those.

Kristen, thanks for posting about the groupon. Now I have to decide if it's worth the extra $12 to rent a towncar and get dropped off at the port. It would be a little more cramped because we will have the driver with us (5 instead of 4) and we wouldn't be able to stop and get our booze on the way (but I could get the booze when I'm at the store earlier in the trip with my rental car) hhhmmmm decisions, decisions! What should I do?

As far as I know most TOWN CAR companies can give you a FREE grocery stop ( about half an hour ) , just ask before booking !!
We have done this before , the driver waited for us while we did some "last minute" shopping ...

Just finished our run for the day - 10.75 miles today (a bit short of what I wanted but more then fine). I am now kind of bumming though because apparently....our air conditioner is not working. It is going to be close to 100° with high humidity for several days and we have no air. I am so sick of things breaking down on us and all these extra bills. Hopefully it is something DH and I can figure out or else we will be sucking up the heat until Monday because I am not paying for after hour service hours.

Good luck !!! Hope you can fix your airconditioner ... without too high bills !!!

Go figure : we are about 95° F all July / August BUT withour airconditioner !!!

Only very recent / luxury houses have "air" , and some hotels ... But I guess we are accostumed to Summer heat ... it isn't so bad for us ...

TWO WEEKS from now


DGH and I will leave Italy , heading towards WDW !!!!

I am VERY EXCITED : today Marco and I went though all of our documents ( flights, passports , reservations , towncar etc ).
When we do this , we KNOW we are REALLY going on vacation SOOOOON !!!


BUT ...
I am also : wonderful Carol let us know the Fedex traking # of our CRUISE DOCUMENTS :
just found out they are lost somewhere , around Milano , in unknown Fedex deposit ........................................
Nobody is working during weekend in Italy - so we'll have to wait until Monday to call a phone # ........................ and hope that someone will answer ...

Laura, I hate it when I have a tracking number and don't know where my stuff is. On Friday my shipment left a town that is only an hour from my house and it still says it won't be delivered till Tuesday! Why??? It only took a day to get half way across the US and 5 days to get an hour away? I'm sure your documents will show up, hopefully before you leave!

Jen, my AC is broke too. We've been having problems with it "sweating" on the ductwork so bad that it is dripping on my heat pump. So we called the HVAC guy and he comes over and cleans the insides and decides we need our ducts changed around so we have better air flow. So he leaves and we had a major flood in the basement, apparently the pipe that removes all the water wasn't draining. We called him back and he couldn't get back over for 3 days! So for 3 days if I wanted to run the AC I had to bail water from our makeshift pipe that my husband took apart and was draining into a bucket. Every hour we had about 2-3 gallons of water to dump. Now at least that part is fixed. So I know how it is to have no AC, it sucks! Laura, I don't know how you do it without AC.

This sounds like lots of progress Erika! I think that things not fitting is where I am having the most issues. New casual clothes, new dress clothes, new pirate costumes (still haven't figured this one out yet), etc.

Um yeah, the stuff that doesn't fit, is mine..., all my stuff from the last cruise is too small.

We spent the day at Six Flags New England yesterday. It was so HOT! And the park was PACKED! We had a fun time overall, except for the sun burn I got on my shoulders!

Off to get some aloe vera for the sun burn and then to work on the FEs. Happy Sunday!

5 days left at school

Things are starting to come together!

Ok so I sorted out out Magical express for our return to the airport today.

I also put back our town car an hour so we'll arrive at the port around 10.45. Im not that early lol

Can't fit any more clothes into my wardrobes (sorry closets ) so I must have everything I could possibly need

I've even arranged a day (30th July) to take DH shopping for clothes

it is just HORRIBLE ! DGH and I are fortunate because our house is "ancient" , VERY thick walls ... so we can manage to keep it cool with fans !!
We use ... plenty of perfumes in Italy !!

After the cruise we are staying at the dvc villas at animal lodge.

We are wanting to go to Us and IOA perhaps the 22nd and 23rd . The park opens at 9am and we'll be getting a taxi there.

What time would you get the taxi - there will be communters.

Im not sure when the chn go back to school in FL?

do you think the parks will be quieter on mon / tues or wed thurs?

Any advice is really appreicated

Kids in FL go back in August-- I think almost all of them are back by the 15th. Morning commute on I-4 is terrible, so I'd leave significant extra time.

Last October my kids and I wore sweaters in the dining room and in the theatre because it was freezing cold. I know that Florida and the Bahamas will be HOT HOT HOT in August, but should I bring some long sleeve stuff too?

I might. I know in Disney in August, no matter how hot outside, the insides are still like ice boxes! UGH, I was just at Kohls, I should have looked for a little black shrug to bring.

I don't think it's a bad idea to pack a favorite light jacket or something like that. Of course that sure would make a souvenir purchase too.

I have some shrugs that I'll pack as I agree with the ac it can be cold inside
