Yep that's the one: For my family of four it was $50 per adult and $25 per child (12 and under).BTW: Kids 5 and under are FREE. Total: $150 and we put down a $30 deposit with the balance needing to be paid when we check in. We get access to the beach and the pool, use of towels as well as the kayaks and floats. Adults get a meal vouchr for $30 each for food and drinks and kids get a $10 meal voucher towards food and drinks. And for an extra charge you can arrange snorkeling tours and also a fishing trip.

If any of you book this, make sure to print out your confirmation page and remember to bring it with you. In October when we were at Nachi using this same company who books the reservation, a cruiser didn't have his printed confirmation sheet and he was given a really hard time about not having it with him by the locals who actually ran the place. So just make sure to bring the form so there will be no extra worries in paradise.

Thanks for the info. We looked into the 1 day at Atlantis thru Comfort Suites and that was way too $$$$$. I'll look into this later this evening as an alternative to staying on the ship.

Well it is good to see that this group stuck together through everything. In the end, largely due to very hectic real life schedules, we opted to sit on the sidelines this time and not be part of the mass FE, though I will say from past experience, FE's are a great way to enjoy the cruise and preparing for the cruise.

We also dumped competing threads and the like and have no part of the one that is still up there. Basically, along with the small group of families with whom we are friends and are traveling, we are just going to take it easy this time and relax.

That said, Larry Long (husband of Tinkerbell Mom) and I will be the easiest to spot in the terminal at embarkation, and probably on the ship for that matter as we are both about 6'8". So while we may not have been involved in the thread as usual, we will all be happy to say hello and be otherwise friendly.

While I have not posted in a long time, I have followed the thread from time to time and would comment that 10,000 + posts is quite an accomplishment by Disboard standards.

I wish all a good cruise and may see some of you onboard....and hopefully we have a much better cruise than some friends of ours who had what I believe is the misfortune of being on the Dream this past weekend with the tropical storm in the Bahamas...they are first (and likely last) time cruisers.

No problem! My aunt lives NE of Orlando, and we always have to be careful if we are driving up from Disney to see her.

What times are best avoid do you think? When is 'rush hour ' ?

Call me crazy, but I'm never far from a light sweater, even pack one for waiting in lines inside at WDW and for restaurants. I am always freezing! Last cruise my friend and I were so cold during a show we bought sale sweatshirts from shop outside theater. I'm usually not cold in our stateroom, just a few of the public spaces, although later at night the decks could get chilly/windy. I'm planning on spending at least one night by one of the outdoor bars

Same here !!
I've always a light sweater with me ... even in inside waiting lines at WDW and ALWAYS wear it in restaurants !!!!

I've read on the main board that the Dream isn't as chilly as the other Disney ships ...
but I plan on bringing a couple of nice "manteaux" for dinner !!!

I'll be praying on Saturday for all the family ;it is a sad time , but try and think of all the beautiful days you all spent together ...

Finished up the FE gifts! Now I just have to organize the by room numbers and pack them up...

I also ordered more medium packing cubes ("paid" using my ebags Reward Club points) so I can start packing this weekend.

Went shopping at Nordstrom this weekend (they are having their anniversary sale ) and got some new sandals for DH and new Sperry's for me. Now I just have to go shopping for shorts for DH. He has a few but I think he needs more, don't know if he'll agree with me , we'll see.

I'm also making our drink list for the cruise to see what we can take with us and what we need to pick up in FL before getting onboard.

All the planing makes the cruise seem so much closer!!!

Hello Everyone! I was up early this morning as we had to drive up north with a van full of girls on the HS dance team. There was a caravan of us driving up together to bring the girls to dance camp. The girls will be dancing from 7AM to 7PM each day. On Thursday they will have a "performance" at 1:00 PM and then we will bring them back home. Since the camp is near our cabin, I brought DS with me and we are staying at the lake until it is time to bring the girls home. We will be playing games, putting together puzzles, playing in the lake and just relaxing.

Hey Laura - I brought my camera this time so I will take some photos of Ben and I and send them to you!

DH had to stay home as he has a reading training this week. He will also be being sure all the packages that are to be delivered this week actually get in the house. We have a bunch of trading pins I bought off eBay (for while we are at Disney), an order of clothes from American Eagle for DD and me and one last box from eBags.

To catch up on some posts - I always bring something light with to put on for all the spots on board that have the air conditioning too high. I am going to look into the link that was posted about excursions but think we will still end up staying on the Dream for the most part.

Chuck - Good to see you checking in! Even though you guys haven't been on a whole lot, it is always nice to have you post from time to time. We will be looking for the tall guys!

Harry - Can't really watch videos on the Internet reception at the lake but am happy to see that the swimming went well!

Alright - it is time to get ready to go sit in the lake since it is HOT and HUMID up here today! We will check in later!
