Hi all,

We have had a very hectic day (mil went back into hospital:sad2:)
I had forgotten it was Tuesday:scared1:

Thankyou for the countdown it has cheered me up!;)

Helen,,

Thinking of your mother-in-law!!

Kristen-- how did you get to the airport (MCO I assume) to get there early enough for your 11am flight?

We had arranged our own private transportation. We were one of the first ones off of the ship. We were lined up first thing if I remember correctly we were off by 8:00-8:30 we were @ MCO long before we needed to be....We use Sam's Transporation, very reliable!!

I was just wondering... Nassau is in the Eastern time zone right? We aren't switching back and forth for the cruise?

We decided to go with the DCL transfers and onboard check-in for the 11:30am flight home, just to make things easier. That way we'll be back in time to do laundry before work on Monday! (yikes)

We're on a 12:20 pm flight back and decided to utilize the DCL transfers too so at least the bags are checked and we have boarding passes, just need to go through airport security (which can take up to an hour:eek:)

Helen-- I'm sorry to hear about your MIL and hope she is doing OK.

Hard to believe we're at 6 weeks!!! :dance3:
At 4:30 this afternoon, I was singing....come sail-away, come sail-away, come sail-away with me.....

Luckily, nobody was around to hear it though-- I am a horrible singer. :sad2:

I know-- MCO security is so variable! I'm hoping that Sunday AM is a little better than later in the day on Sunday... We'll just have to be in line for the first transfer bus. At least we'll be able to go straight to security when we arrive. Do you still go through customs, just not with your checked luggage? (Does that mean you have to make sure you are hand-carrying anything that could require customs inspection?)

Wow, only six weeks until we sail!! 42 days minus the 5 days at vero and that is 37days until vacation!!

Sorry, I have been more lurking than posting these days, but hopefully I will finalize all our travel plans, so I can be on here more! Trying decent price for to find a rental car. I got a great price for a Ford Escape, but I am not sure if it will be big enough for 2 adults, 3 kids and luggage. The kids are just going to have to sit on the suitcases!! LOL!!

Hope everyone had a nice July 4th. Tomorrow we are going on a boat ride leaving from West Point, my sister works at the hospital. Not sure what to expect, except dreaming of sailing on the Dream!

So what's the plan with the stateroom tour? In the past the DISers would meet at the Promenade lounge. Last time we met quickly and them went to the Atrium for a quick group photo around 3ish before the mustard drill. Seems those first couple of hours will be busy. :thumbsup2

By the way, as I said before, Chuck Maida owner of A L L S E A S O N S Travel will be onboard. He typically likes to have an open house to meet his clientele in person and also invite "new friends" to his stateroom.

Since we have the Roy Suite I offered our room for this open house. I think he plans an hour or so event more than likely on the sea day. When we firm up the details I'll let you know. All are welcome.

Jeff

Thanks alot Jeff, it would be really sweet of you and Chuck to invite us Disers to your open house and suite. The sea day would be great since we'll be more relaxed. As for the Cabin Tour, the preliminary plan is to meet at the more isolated Family Zone and then work our way down the ship.

Did you check the price on the minivan? I have been looking at that Escape rate, and I didn't think it would hold enough luggage, but the mini van was not that much more. Only about $20 more for the 3 days I needed it for.

Glad to hear that the surgery went well. I hope that you are not in too much pain. Is your family waiting on you??

The pain is getting better...as for my family waiting on me, my mom stayed with us for the first two weeks, so she's been a great help. She leaves on Sat., so we'll see what the rest os the time will be like.
