The girls are soo excited about the picture you sent. They actually spent yesterday making Sky, Hope, and Keira crafts to send to them!!

Kristin, I'm sorry you've had to deal with this. I know that it is especially hard as a mom to not be on your feet. I hope that the pain goes away really soon and can find a way to rest your foot!!

This is the proof that even old people can jump! One of the girls that raced with us did a cartwheel over the flames, but they didn't get the picture of her doing that.

Hi guys
Ive been quiet this week, and will probably not have time to post much in the next few weeks. but I'll lurk. We had some bad news on Tuesday. Daves mum has been ill for a couple of years and the specialist said her treatment has not been working. We were told her only option is a major operation. We had to discuss whether it was worth it. Weighing up all risks etc . I think she has decided to have the op and the date we have is early July . Obviously this has a major impact on our holiday. If you are religious please could I ask that you send a prayer for her- I'll let you no when we receive the date the surgery is .

Normally when I get stressed I think and dream about my Disney holiday , although I can't do this at the moment.

Helen , I'm really sorry about this ; what a sad time for Dave's Mum and you all ! I can understand how hard it's at the moment , Marco and I went through this many times - as we both have lovely ( but OLD) parents !!

Since I'm not allowed to get AP's any more (apparently 7 times in a year was too much for my hubby to handle) I have found the next cheapest thing, the YES program at Disney. If you have kids you can enroll them in an educational program for one of the mornings that you are there and everyone in the family gets discounted tickets. We saved over $200 on our tickets this time. We did one of the programs last Jan. and it was pretty cool, we got to go inside the Haunted Mansion ride behind the great room. If any of you haven't gotten your tickets for this trip they have programs that are around the time of our cruise still available.

Thanks so much for this info!!!! B/c you posted this, I signed my kids up and saved $521 on our 5 day park hoppers for the 4 of us!!!!!

Ocean Discoveries at the Living Seas. At least it will be air conditioned

My son loves animals and nature, so I think this will be right up his alley. He will also have it to share with his class when he returns to school.

Thanks for all the compliments on the photo, it was kinda cool to jump over fire, but there was a few seconds before I went when I was thinking "am I nuts?" and "What if this hurts?"

Dd and I have been in Oregon since Thursday. We took the red eye home overnight and I'm still recovering.

My sister has successfully graduated from nursing school (at 43yo...she chucked her IT career and started over from scratch!)!

We were in southern Oregon flying in and out of Medford. At 4ish yesterday while we were walking around town about to find someplace for an early dinner I got a phone call from the AIRPORT (not the airline) telling me that our 8pm flight to San Francisco was cancelled and there weren't any other seats on ANY flights out of the airport until Monday!

We ended up driving over a few mountains for 1.5hrs to Klamath Falls to get on a flight from there. I thought that Medford's airport was small (only 6 gates) but Klamath Falls was microscopic! The woman that checked us in was later on the tarmac w/ ear protection guiding the plane out of THE gate!

It was all good, we actually got to San Francisco for our connecting flight earlier than we would have on our original flight.

I'm still trying to catch up w/ all the posts since Thursday!

Liked the first one better... this one was a little bit darker I guess, but still funny. I laughed a lot harder at the Bridesmaids!

Allie's having a great time too, although I had to ask her what TTYL means - I felt really old! (By the way, if you are old like me, it means Talk To You Later).

The only problem is my older daughter, Elizabeth, is a bit jealous. If anyone has a 11-12 year old girl that would like to exchange emails, let us know!
