Hello all!
We made it home from AZ and everything seems to be ok here. Thanks everyone for all the well wishes!! Glad to be home safe and sound!!

Now I'm going to go back and read all the posts!!

Since I'm not allowed to get AP's any more (apparently 7 times in a year was too much for my hubby to handle) I have found the next cheapest thing, the YES program at Disney. If you have kids you can enroll them in an educational program for one of the mornings that you are there and everyone in the family gets discounted tickets. We saved over $200 on our tickets this time. We did one of the programs last Jan. and it was pretty cool, we got to go inside the Haunted Mansion ride behind the great room. If any of you haven't gotten your tickets for this trip they have programs that are around the time of our cruise still available.

Would love some information on the YES program...never heard of it.

It's the same company, I saw there was only one spot left so we booked the earlier tour. Last time we did the 9.30am tour we didn't run into anyone else at the beach. Is Megan doing the Segway tour also ?
I'll send you a PM about the facebook. These kids these days think that email is another version of snail mail.

As for Atlantis, I prefer to stay on the property rather than being the tourist "looking in through the window". The place is absolutely amazing and the beaches over by The reef and The Cove buildings are the best, BUT the resort doesn't allow outsiders there. They give the people staying in those buildings different colored wristbands.

Yes Megan is doing the Segway with us, we'll have 4 adults and 4 kids (ages 9,12,13,14). Our friends own at Harborside and we've been very fortunate to be invited along with them the past 5 years, but this year we could not get a reasonable airfare (or two units at Harborside) to go this year. They are in serious withdrawal so they're heading over there for the day. We opted out to try something new, but our other friends are going with them-first timers.

So... don't read if you're going to flame me for asking (morals & all that). Hypothetically, if one has a child that looks younger than 10, but is really 10, could one get away with buying a child ticket to WDW? Hypothetically.

Hey, everyone! Just a heads up, I saw ticket prices are going up tomorrow!!!! UGH!!!! I was going to wait to but new AP"s, but I went ahead and bought them!!! The prices usually increase every Aug!!!

Sorry they are going up Sun. June 12!! I was a day off!!!

No AP's!!!!! Just kidding! DH said we don't need to get them either. Ours expired in Feb and DS has since turned 10. I could've renewed but since we don't have a trip planned til Dec. I decided it wouldn't be worth it. DH and DS are saying they are getting tired of the parks!!!!!!! I am trying to squeeze in a day or two before the cruise though!! They YES program sounds good. I will check it out.

Candy, sorry about the call you got! I too hope that the two guys took notice of the police visit and will not be back. Maybe the police will keep an 'eye' out given that they know you are away?

Kristin-hope the appt goes well!

My DH (John) twisted his knee this weekend and is going to see the doctor tomorrow. Good news is he can walk on it and it says it feels somewhat better but I still worry. And, we thought he was getting better from the plantar fasciitis!

Our friends that our joining us are in each in pain, too....one with an ankle and the other a knee-----geez!!!

As far a dress up, I think that we will be nicely dressed up but no suits, tuxes or prom gowns...although if I let my DD, she would be!

Sorry to hear this, but at least you know your neighbors are keeping an eye out for you! Hopefully, the police will be cruising by too!

I went to the doctor on Wed. and he said I would have been better off to have a clean break rather than a fracture. The tendions was not pulled off of the bone. But the tendions are not smooth but looks like a honeycomb it has all holes in it. He gave me three options one was to have him break it and wear a cast for a while. Another was to wear a big boot type of thing. Another, was a small cast on my ankle for a while. But the casts could not get wet.......The last option was to take this lace up contraption that athletes use. It looks like how the trainers used to tape up athlete's ankles before a sporting events.
I asked the dr. what he would do he said to try the lace up thing. No walking on it until I go back to him in two weeks. Then I will be able to try to walk on it using the crutches and then start physical therapy.

Honestly, the last two days in school have been really really tough. It is very swollen and I called the doctor again today. I am in such pain. The dr. wanted me to stop teaching. But I feel like since I am doing my friend a favor subbing for her class since she is on maternity leave I do not want to leave the kids they are only kindergartners. But on the other hand it is only a few days for them to have another teacher. I am in such pain by the end of the day. I am seriously considering going back and getting the cast.

I'm sorry to hear that you're in so much pain after doing such a good deed for the day with the children. I think that maybe the best choice would be the one that will result in you healing the fastest and the best. Did your doc say ?

Oh NO !! I was so hoping in better news !!
It's so bad that you still are in so much pain !!
and it's lovely that you are concerned of your "pupils" more than of yourself !!

BUT please CAREFULLY FOLLOW "the instructions" that your doctor will tell you !! Do not overdo !!! Do not walk on it - if the doc says so !!
You need to heal soon !!! and you want your poor ankle to be back to normal !!

Ive been quiet this week, and will probably not have time to post much in the next few weeks. but I'll lurk. We had some bad news on Tuesday. Daves mum has been ill for a couple of years and the specialist said her treatment has not been working. We were told her only option is a major operation. We had to discuss whether it was worth it. Weighing up all risks etc . I think she has decided to have the op and the date we have is early July . Obviously this has a major impact on our holiday. If you are religious please could I ask that you send a prayer for her- I'll let you no when we receive the date the surgery is .

Normally when I get stressed I think and dream about my Disney holiday , although I can't do this at the moment.

Here's the web site for individual enrollment, they don't have classes all year round for individuals but they do when we will be there. http://www.disneyyouth.com/individual-enrollment/

Hypothetically they have no clue how old your kids are and will not ask unless the kid looks WAY older than the cut off age. But don't ask how I know this. Also, if you are doing free dining you can pay for the adult ticket for a child and get the adult meals for that child. That one the reservation agent told me about.

Agreed, Laura is so right. You only get one chance to heal and if it doesn't heal correctly you could be in pain the rest of your life. So take it easy out there! Look at it this way, at least you don't need surgery.

Helen, so sorry to hear that, it's hard to get excited about your vacation when there's so much else to think about. I will definately say a prayer for her.

This morning I woke up and it is still really hurting. I am thinking I really need to stay off of it. TOnight, we are going out to dinner it is our 17th wedding anniversary!!
