Good grief I didn't think I was gong to get through all the pages!! You all stressed me out a bit with the talk of lower Southwest flights. Once I book flights, I try to avoid looking. It will break my heart if my flight prices drop. We're going JetBlue.

I paid in full before I remembered insurance. Ooops. Cross your fingers for us.

I revised the CC5K t-shirt to include a date. I didn't want to put 8/16-21 on the shirt - don't want people thinking it took us 5 days to run a 5k! So I picked our second CC day (I thought August 20, 2011 looked cool).

This cracked me up! Thanks for doing the shirts.

We need volunteers who don't mind showing off their cabins, and volunteers who would like to tour.

If you are willing to show your cabin please PM (Private Message) me with your category and cabin number so I can add it to the tour.
If you would like to just do the tour PM me your request so I can add you to the list.

I'll be including my cabin which I've dubbed a special cat. 6A, as long as Disney doesn't change it before we cruise. See the pictures below.

Summer classes start next week and go right up to the cruise for me. I give the final exam on Aug 11 and grades are due on Aug 12, which is the day we fly to MCO, so I'll definitely be busy before! Fortunately classes don't start up again until Labor Day, so there will be some time to recover post-cruise.

We're staying at WDW until the 26th, and I have to move all my stuff back to school on the 28th! The 27th will be a very interesting day at my house.

Tomorrow's my last final for the semester! Then I'll have to find a summer job to pay for the WDW stay (which I still haven't booked yet ).

Hi! Finally getting around to jumping on board this thread. I've been lurking for a while, and wow, I have not been able to read all the previous posts, so forgive me if I bring up something that has already been discussed. I guess we just missed out on the FE group, that was fun when we participated before. I totally understand planning a cutoff date though.

Our family includes me, DH, DS(11) and DS(7) This will be our fourth cruise and we are so excited.

I saw some marathons mentioned here. Any idea how many from the cruise meet are planning to participate in the 5K? It usually takes me about 33 minutes and I wondered if anyone had a similar pace. I'm afraid of getting left behind by the fast folks and getting lost.

I notice from your signature that you have stayed at Animal Kingdom Villas - Im interested to hear your experience there - as were are staying there after the cruise in Kidani village and I'm very excited about this.

Our favorite resort is AKV and our favorite part of AKV is Kidani. We have stayed at Jambo & Kidani and we just love the vibe and feel of Kidani. We will be staying at AKV - Kidani before the cruise. Yes, the lobby is not as grand as Jambo and it is not as "busy." But, that is what we like. We like the cozy feel of Kidani and we love the pool. It does not have counter service but we really do not care about that since we but groceries and eat in the room. Plus, we like the sayings that are etched into the wall and the decor is amazing. We have not found it to be far from anything because the buses are right there. The hallways are long but we always ask that they note on the reservation to either have us close to the pool since we use the pool quite often and their are elevators that you can take to get close to the pool. And, we never got tired of sitting/standing on the balcony looking at the animals. DS especially loved the okapi.

My daughter is in 4th grade and our district has been doing trimesters for the elementary schools (not sure about the upper grades) since she was in kindergarten.

It has worked well for us so far. I like our grading system as well. Instead of the traditional letter or number grades, they use the following in combination w/ specific goals:

E = Exceeding
M = Meeting
A = Approaching
B = Beginning

I prefer this for elementary school. Tells me she is and isn't proficient at specific goals & objectives, and the school district has a complete list of the specific objectives where they illustrate specifically what E, M, A, & B look like for each.... so we can work on things at home if we need to!

I think this sounds like a great grading system for the elementary school kids. We just moved up so I wonder if that's how it is a DD's school. She hasn't been here long enough to get a report card.

So much to do,yet what am I doing? Being called a loser by my husband because I am watching High School Musical 3 without my daughter LOL!!!

That's ok...I catch myself watching Disney Channel without the kids all the time.

What does everyone have planned for the weekend.
I am going to this big emergency preparedness type activity tomorrow, church Sunday, and girl's camp planning meeting Sunday night.
But, that is pretty much all I have planned.

TGIF everyone! I feel like I have been on vacation this week. My youngest son has a medical condition and has been sick this week, so being the mommy (as well as a nurse, I get to take off!) Busy weekend ahead, my sister is great with him so she will be a huge help to DH and I!

My daughters Irish Step Dance school is having there end of year dance and fundraiser tonight. Always a great time, and the boys dont want to go anyway, so they will stay with my sister.

I'll shop for cruise stuff on the clearence racks in July when they need to make room for the CHristmas decorations!

I hope my ankle will be ok too. I know I will be standing on it alot at girls camp, but I do plan on bringing an ankle brace to wear. Hopefullt that will help keep the swelling down.

As you will see, you can customize the shirts - adding text to the front or back. And you can select whatever color/style/sizes you need.
To get adult sizes, you need to select a different style. There's a hyperlink next to option 2 "Choose your style and color" that says "see all." If you click on it, it will bring up all of the styles - mens, womens, etc. The logo will be applied to whatever style you choose.
