Welcome Ellen
I notice from your signature that you have stayed at Animal Kingdom Villas - Im interested to hear your experience there - as were are staying there after the cruise in Kidani village and I'm very excited about this.
Do you have any tips etc?
Thanks
Does anyone know where I may be able to find some trivia or facts about the Disney Dream? I am making a vacation countdown chain and wanted to add specific Disney Dream trivia.
Has anyone on this thread sailed together before? Just curious

All checked in...11-1130am check in time! I am so tired and I think I may have allergies! Never suffered from them in the past, so I am not sure if I am tired and run down or starting with allergies.
Me too! I just did checkin for one of my cabins, and got arrival of 11-11:30. Yeah, right.
That seems to be the time we all got this morning! Maybe would should have a DIS-meet at 11am on the pier??
Hi! Finally getting around to jumping on board this thread. I've been lurking for a while, and wow, I have not been able to read all the previous posts, so forgive me if I bring up something that has already been discussed. I guess we just missed out on the FE group, that was fun when we participated before. I totally understand planning a cutoff date though.
Our family includes me, DH, DS(11) and DS(7) This will be our fourth cruise and we are so excited.
I saw some marathons mentioned here. Any idea how many from the cruise meet are planning to participate in the 5K? It usually takes me about 33 minutes and I wondered if anyone had a similar pace. I'm afraid of getting left behind by the fast folks and getting lost.
I was on the Tortola Treasure Seekers cruise (which turned into a Western Double Dip). On it were Jen Andersen, Kritter (Kristen), Jude, Elena, Allreds and Laura and Marco. Sorry if I missed anyone.
Now I'm going back to read 10 pages from today alone!!!!
Hey guys,
I haven't been on the meet boards in a while. But now that school is over and I have a cruiseto look forward to, I plan to visit alot.
Thanks renda460 for countdown chain idea and thanks Amanda132 for the 'facts' links. That will be a fun project.
I'm not to thrilled about this, but we booked Remy's. It was my husbands doing, he really wants to go but I am dreading spending 3 hours at dinner...HELP!!!!! LOL
Kristin has a countdown chain she got somewhere on here...she will email it to you if you want it! It's cute!
Thanks, for the insight. I was thinking I really would not like it!!

We had something unexpected on checkin this morning. It said "Since your travel party is staying at a WDW resort you are not required to select an arrival time. You may arrive any time during embarkation and check in at your leisure." We are staying at the airport the night before, and Bay Lake after the cruise. Does that mean if we get to the bus checkin early we could be on one of the first buses headed for the port?

We actually don't care for formal dining. We booked Palo dinner once just cause, but don't have any interest in doing it again.
Palo Brunch is a whole different experience. First you dress casual and there is more variety than you can possibly ever eat.
Remy looks nice, but I come to realize that we have never spent $75 per person on any dining experience. The reality is the $75 is a "discounted" rate since you can't eat at Remy without paying the cruise fare first.
What makes me laugh is how DCL states that "a nominal service fee will be charged: $75 per person". Seriously? Nominal?
Yeah, I know, this minor rant is coming from a guy who booked the Roy, but for some reason spending a lot of money on dining doesn't work for me. Oh well, to each their own.
We also received the 11-11:30am arrival but will be getting to the port closer to 10:15 with a private car service. I was able to get Palo for the 3rd night just liked I wanted but I was bummed because I couldn't reserve a table of 4. I am hoping that we can add our friends we are traveling with especially since she is currently recovering from brain surgery at the moment! I think she deserves a night out at Palo for her first cruise...don't ya think?
I am so excited that we are now in the home stretch! Looking forward to putting my FE gifts together this week.![]()
