Steve and I leave for Florida tomorrow and will be spending the night at the Port. On Thursday, we hop on the Dream for a quick 3-day cruise. We are in 12008 so intrigued to see how the concierge gig works. First night we're exploring the ship and either doing Palo (if we can snag another ressie) or if not, doing room service; day two in Nassau we are booked for Aquadventure at Atlantis and then dinner at Palo; third day is a cabana on Serenity Bay for our time at Castaway Cay and Remy for our last night birthday dinner. Since the kids aren't with us, no family dining and we'll probably skip the shows since we'll see them in August. We also aren't doing the FE thing since I didn't participate very much on the meet board.

Our main plan is to relax, exercise (we've got the running shoes packed) and enjoy some adult time. Can't wait, though I'm sure it will be a little strange not having Skye and Hope with us. I've packed two 9 inch pink vinylmations for the characters to sign for the girls. We did this on our last cruise and they were great reminders of our trip.

Let me know if you have anything you want me to check out while on board!:):):):)

Very jealous!! Have a great time!!:banana:

Beth , have a wonderful time - Im looking forward to your return with lots of photos.

Have a great time

Let me no what you recommend in Remypopcorn::

I just rebooked our CIS reservation for 8/15. The price for the basic cruise package dropped $38! :cool1:

All the cruise packages dropped in price and the prices on the regular rooms (non-cruise package) dropped significantly for Advance Purchases.

Just thought I would share in case someone else can save some $$ as well!

Your'e the best! I rebooked our pre-cruise room and saved $35. Thank you.

I'm shocked...11 hours and 20 minutes untill the Silver can book and I find us on page 2!:scared1::scared1: This day is going sooo slow!! Looking forward to staying up late!!

I usually crash around 11:30 anyway, so the extra bit of time won't be too bad until...... I have to get up at 6:30 tomorrow morning - ugggghh

Thanks for the good thoughts Laura, Marsha, Mary, and Helen. I'll report back on Monday! Good luck to the silverites with any bookings that get made in the wee hours of the morning!:hourglass

I know I saw it somewhere on the second thread, but does anyone remember which nights are repeated for the dining rooms? I want to book Palo tonight for the first night of the cruise but I can't remember if that night is repeated later in the week and I don't want to miss any dinners.
Also, for all you waiting on GTY rooms, I got mine several weeks ago I guess the interior rooms were all full so they decided to go ahead and put people in those first.

My TA IM'd me this afternoon to tell me an inside double came available for about $2700. Not sure of the category, my guess is a cat 11. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Hey Beth,

Have a great time! Enjoy concierge. Let us know about the gates. Kind of wish they would take them away alltogether.

Tell Steve to send us a picture from the Sail-A-Way party.

Happy Birthday too!! party::bday:

Jeff & Missy

I am really hoping to find a Palo dinner for 6 for my parents' anniversary!

That I'm wishing for a cabana one CC day, but I think those are already gone. We'll see tonight!

I will check now to see if there are any cabanas and let you know!!

WOW!! That price does not sound too bad!!

UGH, getting up @6:30 is going to be tough!! WHat are you thinking about booking??

How was everyone's day? Sick and tired of the cold, icky, rainy weather here this week!!

Beth,

Love the idea of the vinylmation we just bought them on our trip in April for the girls to have signed on this cruise. On our last cruise I had a quilt made with all of the characters signatures on it. A women made it for me with pictures from the cruise. So this cruise each of my girls want one. Hopie, is going to have pink hearts signed with the characters signatures, and Hanna is going to have yellow stars, suns, and hearts signed for her quilt. I just bought the Disney Fabric off of e-bay for the quilt!!:):thumbsup2

Beth,

Have a GREAT time!!! Can't wait to hear all about it when you come back.

Kim

Hi Kristin -- Those plain vinylmations are on sale right now for $14.99 instead of $39.99. I bought two in every color available (the twin factor was kicking in!) and plan on dipping into the rather large Disney box and pulling them out for signatures on future cruises. Heck, by the time the girls are in double digits they should have several of them on the top of their bookcases!

Hi Kim -- I'll let you know what I think of Atlantis as I'm very curious about it. I still have the other option at the Nassau Hilton in the back of my mind so I'll get back to you on that after we arrive home. I wish we could recreate Nachi at Cozumel as that was so much fun!

Hi Jeff -- Steve and I will be thinking of our favorite New Jerseyites as we explore the new ship. We look forward to tons of fun in the Caribbean Sun (and in the Florida Sun too) in August!

Hi Beth,

Thank you for letting me know that they are on sale. Where at Disneyshopping.com?

Have FUN!! Are the twins upset your going without them??

Thanks for the heads up on the CIS sale, I downgraded to a regular room from the kids suite I had booked, and overall just saved about $65!

Hi Laura, Thanks! I'll keep my eyes peeled on those gates to see if they really are locked or just for show. I agree about freezing (esp while dining) so I've packed a black sweater that goes with everything. I'll definitely try to post some pictures when I get back -- but you might need to walk me through it. I'll need to get a photobucket account, I think!

Beth

Have a great time! Thats very similar to what Diana and I did in March with a kid-less 3 night Dream getaway. On our cruise the concierge gates were propped open all day and closed at night
