:wave2: WELCOME BACK Candy !!!

What were the HIGHS of your cruise ? Any photos :rolleyes1 for us ?
Did you like the Bermudas ?

Ciao , laura

Thanks Laura!! The highs of my cruise was everything that had to do with Bermuda!! That island is so beautiful!! I could spent the whole time on that island and would have been perfectly happy! I didn't want to leave. It is so clean, the water is so blue, and everyone is friendly. I will post pictures soon!

I was thinking of doing the 5k but I know know if I can deal with the humidity. If it was the heat alone I would be able to do it, but I am not use to the humidity.
I Haven't really decided yet.

I guess that :dance3: lots of us will be bumping into one another at the port , as many families plan to arrive about 10.30 !!!! :woohoo:
I plan to wear my tshirt with our cruise logo on it !!!!!!

I seem to recall that Helen was suggesting ... :rolleyes1 about 150 pages ago !!!! :lmao: a meeting up in the sun :sunny::sunny::bounce::sunny::sunny:
( ON DECK 11 OR 12 ) :yay:
before the mandatory assembly drill !!!

Some families were planning to have a DISmeet at Universal or close to port ( the night before departure of the cruise ) ...:grouphug::grouphug::grouphug:

Maybe we could also think of a mini DIS meet for those who are staying at a WDW resort before the cruise ???
 We could meet at a park / ride an attraction together ? or plan a meal ( counter service ?) or just a drink or snack (for the kids) ????

Other thoughts / opinions ???? :grouphug: laura

Has anyone planned on getting t-shirts for everyone or are we getting our own? I really would like to get a t-shirt also, is there somewhere I can get the logo for printing?

I'm loving all the different meets!!!

I was wondering about a few things , but I'm not sure who to ask.

Can we arrange one or more definate group meets such as either at the port prior to boarding and on board?

Also is it possible to have a list here of everyone in the group who is cruising ?

I was also thinking of doing a group cabin tour.

It would be nice to see the various categories for future reference if we can have enough volunteers. Maybe on the first day before our cabins get messy, before the lifeboat drill ??.
We did it on a couple of our last cruises.

Plus this gives me the opportunity to show how the real secret cat 6A cabins look, of which I have one. FYI look at these photos http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=41036332&postcount=1324

DIS or Groupp meets have been discussed but I do not know if anything has been finalized. We could have a DIS meet at the port since some will be wearing the cruise logo t-shirts and/or lanyards. Also, as Laura mentioned there was a definite discussion about a meet onboard.

Some of the people here are also on the FB page. If you are interested in joining the FB cruise group here is the link: Facebook Cruise Group

I really like the idea of a stateroom tour.

Its been hectic, its been crazy, but I guess I can share the details with all of you at the cruise. I had not been able to log on at all and I'd miss all the fun of the forum, imagine! and I am so sorry, so far I know I signed in for the fish extenders...but please give me a quick update on it, do I need to repost the info? I am so sorry again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:headache::headache:

I like the stateroom tour idea too! and the meets!
I also like the logo t-shirt idea! I know on my friend's Alaska meet thread someone posted there logo on cafepress.com, so people could order shirts and stuff. Where is everybody getting their shirts made.....are you ordering them or printing them out and ironing them on? I also like those 5k shirts in the pictures that were posted! sounds like a bunch of the group is doing the
5k.

Man....I hate it when I am so busy that I don't have time to get on our site! There are so many things that I would love to comment on but I tend to get so far behind with this new job. Tonight I should be working on a presentation but I am kind of blowing it off. I was asked yesterday to be one of the keynote speakers at an Apple Computers event on iPads in education. This sounds like a great thing...but the event is on Friday and I am suppose to have my presentation in to Apple by the end of the day on Thursday! SCARY! There will be hundreds of educators at this event and it will be interesting....I just don't know how I feel about being a keynote speaker.

So, I will continue to blow it off for a bit and try to catch up a bit here. :rotfl:

I'm still leaning towards running the 5K... though I think it's going to be at a moderate pace as I fear the temps by 9:30AM in mid-August will be outside my comfort zone!:scared1:

I did a 10 mile training run last week and the temps were close to 80 in bright sunshine. I didn't feel too great.... Tonight - mid 60s, same route, sun was setting - I felt great.

Hey...you should run with us! Your moderate pace is possibly my race pace! :rotfl2: Seriously, I like the slow and steady wins the race sort of mentality.

DH and I ran last night and it was 88° with high humidity - it was so miserable and made me feel gross. We laughed though because exactly one week before we were having snow.

I am so excited that we are in the double digits for the cruise and when we leave for our stay at WDW (94 days)!

I don't always get on to say it...but I LOVE your countdown! Makes me feel great each week when I get the e-mail that you posted it. :goodvibes

:goodvibes That's very kind of you !!!
Actually we can read and thouroughly understand at once what you all write every day !! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 but some "unusual" ( to us ) wording ... like PRANCING  horse ...
I happen sometimes to find it difficult to "find the exact word" I want to say ... :rotfl: when I speak fast IN PERSON ... or when English speaking persons talk each other  FAST !!! :upsidedow

Most of the time though we find ourselves at home in US !!! :):)

Laura - Your English is so good. I do stop and think about how hard it must be for you to send me e-mails in English all the time...it is a shame that I don't understand any Italian! :rotfl:

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Marco and I could come and see you all RUN ...
or ;) we could follow the race by bike ... :rotfl2:

( I'm afraid I ONLY run after two or three of my pupils ... :confused3 when they are fighting over something ....................)

Have a nice week !! laura :lovestruc

You and Marco should give a big cheer when you see us all run by! :cheer2:

DH asked if he could bike the 5k, I told him I didn't think so. I told him that we could walk it and didn't have to run it......so we may do that!

I basically walked most of it the last time we were there. I had just started running and did not train properly at all. Still, I had a really great time and was happy I did it.

It's billed as a "group run" and not a race.... from what I've read many people do it at their own leisurely pace... For me the saving grace might be the opportunity to plop right down in the water when it's over!! :rotfl:

I think we will plop right down in the water and then maybe order a frozen drink! ;)

That is a good idea about putting it on Cafe press and then everyone can order their own. I like getting it oversized and wearing at the pool and on the beach as a coverup. :)

BIGDOG, thank you.

Jen...Good Luck!:thumbsup2

I love the sound of some of these meets. How exciting to have a secret cat 6A! They look so interesting and I would LOVE to see what it really looks like inside!

It would be nice to have a few group meets - puts some real faces to the names!!

Jen was maintaining our group website; however, someone probably needs to lend her a hand if that's something we want to maintain over the last couple of months (there's a listing of DIS cruisers there). She's super busy and it is a lot of work to keep up with it, etc.

Jen - What do you think? I'd be happy to help out :)

Alright...a modified version of the website is back up. You can check it out here:

http://web.me.com/jenbanderson/DreamCruise/Welcome.html

You will need a user name and password - send me a PM and I will send it to you.

Harry - I create the website using iWeb and host it on my .mac account. This makes it difficult to have someone else help with updating it. What I could use some help with is helping when new people join in or there is something posted that I should add to the site. I have been so busy that sometimes I miss what is posted. If you wanted to help by sending me an e-mail or PM if there is important information posted here, that would really help.

I think we will have to see who is interested in each type of meet. I can put it on the website and then those who are interested for each one can let me know via PM or e-mail. I will put the list on the site and see which ones have enough people who want to get together.

Its been hectic, its been crazy, but I guess I can share the details with all of you at the cruise. I get hectic and crazy! You missed the whole point where due to my new job we started the process of canceling this cruise and then in the end, I begged my new boss for the time off and am back on the cruise again. There were several weeks where we were not planning on going so I took down our website and others took over with the main plans. I am now counting the days to the cruise so that I can have some totally relaxed and non-crazy days with everyone!

Hubby and I plan on running the 5k! We are starting P90X this Friday :scared1:, so we should be fit enough to take on the 5K in August.

These shirts are great! :thumbsup2 It would be fun to have something like this for our group!

Let me know if you want to be added to the run on day 2 or the run on day 5...or both!

I was thinking of doing the 5k but I know know if I can deal with the humidity. If it was the heat alone I would be able to do it, but I am not use to the humidity.
I Haven't really decided yet.

You could join in! I think it will be a great run and it sounds like there might be people walking if that is more your pace.

Has anyone planned on getting t-shirts for everyone or are we getting our own? I really would like to get a t-shirt also, is there somewhere I can get the logo for printing?

I'm loving all the different meets!!!

I usually make our t-shirts with transfers but I have also used Vista Print and ordered them as well.

Wow, Jen, Good luck with your presentation!!!

Jen...Good Luck!:thumbsup2

Good luck Jen!! I'm sure you will do a great job!!

Thanks guys! It is just very strange to get used to having a job where everyone is closely watching everything you are doing and then wants you to come and talk about it. In many ways, I miss the days of being a classroom teacher. Being the person in charge of such a huge iPad project is a lot of pressure. I am constantly being asked to do things I never thought I would be doing. It is good but it is really a huge job.

Marsha, I definitely look forward to the countdown every week!
Candy If you want to walk the 5k, we will probably be doing that too!
What day is evryone planning on doing the 5k? With all this talk about it, I might do it too. It will be warm though...like Harry said we can jump in the water after it or like someone else said get a frozen drink!!!!! YUMMY!:)

Elena - Let me know if you want me to add you to the 5K list! :thumbsup2

You can see who is doing the 5K on the different days on the website. If you look under the section for SHARING PLANS...I have listed all the different ideas people have for different meets, excursions, 5K plans, etc.

Hi Everyone.

I am glad to hear all the great Mother's Day everyone had.

Things are busy with the end of the school year activities. My girls recital is only 4 weeks away - :scared1: where did the year go???? I get raffle prizes for our scholarship fund so I have running around asking for donations. That is four recitals to get items for - some people have been so generous but it is a tough economy out there.

Lanyard Update

We have a total of 123 on order so far. Last day is June 11th. Here is what they look like

Sorry to hear that your job is stressful - I do not like a boss who is watching everything I do!!
