Anyone cruising the Fantasy next year??

I turn 40 next year!!:scared1::scared1:

We are tossing around a summer Fantasy Cruise, or an October cruise when it would be the actual weekend of my birthday, The Turkery Day Cruise...

I have a two day already booked out of NYC-trying to convince Janeanne & Keith to join us for a no kid trip!!

I thought you were rethinking the two day. We are seriously thinking about it and Carol toldbus tobrebook on board.

We are booked on the Fantasy for the Thanksgiving cruise :cool1: My husband and I both turned 40 last year and took the Mediterranean Disney Cruise...loved it. What a great way to celebrate our birthdays!

I'm with ya! maybe this will help, here are some pictures of my new addition. (still not done, they haven't put the glass wall on my shower) I'm hopeing it will be done before we leave in a week and a half! I loved the waterfall shower in the spa on the Wonder so much that I had one installed in my new shower.

We are also booked on the Fantasy for Thanksgiving next year. Glad we booked when we did.... its several thousand more for a family of four than we paid. Perfect way to celebrate your 40th

I hope everyone had a great weekend. I was able to pack our suitcase for the cruise. Almost everything, except for the shoes, fit into one suitcase. Every time I use my packing cubes I appreciate them even more. The next week and half will be busy for us so I had to get the majority of the packing done this weekend.

I got my DCL Passporter in the mail today!!!!:woohoo::banana:

I got my DCL Passporter too!

Very nice! :thumbsup2 I know you will enjoy it.

Below are tips related to fish extenders & magnets.

1. Personalize your fish extender so there will be less chance for it to “float away.”

2. Secure your fish extender with a cable tie to the fish outside your stateroom door.

3. Put labels on the back saying "Belongs to the XXXX Family"

4. Visit the creative DISigns board or cruise magnets thread to request magnet designs.

5. Use magnets to help identify your door.

6. Personalize your magnets so they will not “float away.”

7. Put labels on the back saying "Stolen from the XXXX Family" or “This magnet belongs to room # xxxx.”

8. Magnets that have name and room number on them are less likely to disappear.

Love love love the new bathroom!

How is everyone packing already? I still need to wear all the clothes I have to pack.

I've been contemplating getting a cabana massage, but I'm cheap. To pay that much for a massage vs what I can pay here... Hmmmmm.

Re-did the FEs today. We'll see how this batch turns out over the next 24-48 hours.

No I think we will keep it. Do you want to go? We will rebook it onboard!!

Even though I found Part 4 I'll hold up my end here and help us get to page 250...

Terri-love the bathroom!

I have only put aside a few items so far and we leave in a few days...I really need to iron a bunch of stuff because I have no shorts to wear right now, but I HATE IRONING!! It's the only thing about summer I don't like since most of our clothes are cotton and come out of the dryer wrinkled. Wrinkle release can't help.

So, I took out our outfits today to show DH and get his opinion on which shirt he should wear and he said, "we're wearing that?" I said it was his idea to wear khakis/polos for dress up night and he said that's how he'll dress for normal dinner but not dress up night. Now I need an alternate outfit for my DS. I should have bought the navy slacks not the khaki so now I'll have to go back out for them. It's always something! And I have a bunch of returns and little time this week to do it. UGH!

Concierges has promised me a call back to let me know how "smoothly" things go for the Aug. 2nd cruise. I will report back when I hear from them!!

Can't wait to hear how it goes!

Just got my fish extender and lanyards yesterday. Now if I can only finish my FE gifts. We leave in 10 days and we don't even have the suitcases out yet. MY DH is usually packed 3 weeks early. He said today is a packing day.:)

I need to finish my gifts too!!! We also leave in 10 days!! I'm not packed either. The suitcase are out and I have some piles of stuff to pack!!!

OK the suit cases have come out of the loft !!:thumbsup2

Anyone for packing:rolleyes1

Mine aren't packed yet either! I'm still wearing some of the clothes that will be packed!!

I'm working on my FE's today too, I bought them and made them a year and a half ago, but I still need to bag and tag them. nothing like waiting till the last minute! :thumbsup2 I went out and got myself a pirate costume yesterday. I had one but it was not very comfortable, it was a halloween costume. It used to be easier to pack for Disney back when I made matching t-shirts for the trips. They would just stay in the suitcase after I washed them ready for the next trip to Disney. This time we have to wait to pack because we are wearing "normal" clothes.

I usually do matching t-shirts too for embarkation.....but I haven't done any this time!!:scared1: I was going to order t-shirts with our cruise logo but decided that they were more than I wanted to spend, so I might just do the iron on version if I have time.

 I just went to put the finishing touches on some of my FEs (they needed to dry), but they all came out crapy. I need to start ALL OVER AGAIN! :scared1: I am so frustrated right now. Just needed to vent.

Kids camped out at our swim club last night with DH. DH is sleeping on the couch and princess is whining. She needs a nap, BIG time. ;)

I'm sure your gifts are fine! I saw that you redid them. I hope you are more satisfied with them. I'm not sure how mine are going to turn out either! They are drying too!!!

Ok, we decided to pull the suitcases out of the attic, and what did we find??? We found that one suitcase was still full on clothes from our trip to WDW last Halloween! LOL!! When we returned to NY the weather was cooler and we didn't need the shorts/tanks, etc and just thru the whole suitcase up into the attic!! :lmao::lmao: I now have found what happened to all of my sons socks!! too funny!

My kids and I have started to pull out our clothes and we have way too much stuff!

I just cancelled a 9am Castaway Cabana massage if anyone is interested. The whole family decided we wanted to try parasailing:eek::eek: so I booked that for late afternoon on CC! I could do with out it but the kids want to go and need an adult with them, so my little one talked me into it. You only live once!

Too funny about the clothes!! When are you parasailing? We are doing it the first CC day @1:30!! DS and I, come join us!!

I'm working on FE stuff! Why did I wait until the last minute??

Life has been so busy! I'm a teacher, wouldn't you think life would slow down in the summer? I can't wait to get on the boat!

We leave for WDW in 10 days!

I'm with you!!! Lots to do in the next 10 days!!!:scared1:

Glad you found all your stuff! This sounds like something I would do!

I hope you enjoy your parasailing. My DS talked about wanting to try it out but we have decided against it for this trip.

Come on Jen, come parasailing with us!!! It's fun!!:)

I want to do the Med cruise sometime! I was hoping that they would do one in 2012.....but so much for that idea!!! Maybe they will do one in 2013! DH and I celebrated our 40th on the Wonder a few years ago!!!

Love love love the new bathroom!

Terri, I love your bathroom!! It looks great!!!
I found the new thread......page 3 already!!!

Here is what it says on the DVCmember website:
"Currently, you may request a reservation for a Disney Cruise Line® vacation that has a sail date on or before July 31, 2013, some sailings may not be available for booking at the 24-month window."

There is no benefit to rebooking on board if you are going to use points.

If you are going to use points and cash, you may be able to make a cash dummy reservation and then convert it to points and cash once the "real" date becomes available. But, I don't think that you will get any on-board-rebooking discount/credit on the "cash" part if you are splitting with points.

Just call for points as soon as the cruise you want becomes available for booking, because they only allow a certain number of points to be used per cruise.

You will pay $95 anytime you move the points around-- once you convert them to a cruise reservation, they are in a different "category" that regular points.

If you want to run your specific scenario, I would call DVC. You may also need to call DCL to find out about the rebooking discount and how it would apply to points/cash reservation.

Thanks you ;)

So I'm thinking we need to do some serious posting to get to 250 and bring this thread to a close! Who's with me?

Im trying my best this morning;)

Its funny I always have so much to catch up when I wake up on a morning:thumbsup2

So, maybe I missed it but...
when is our group embarkation DIS meet?

Are we going to do it before the cabin tour? At the same meeting place? :confused3

(If it isn't organized yet: I can't volunteer to organize it because I have to organize all of my first-time-cruising family :scared1:, but maybe someone could, and just tag-team the time/place with Brenda's cabin tour?) :3dglasses

Hi I thought we were meeting at 2 and then heading to cabin tour at 2.30.

We are meeting deck 13 forward in the family zone. Where CURRENTS bar is.;)
