Opening Day tomorrow for my DS11 soccer team. Go Revolution 98's! :cheer2:

Busy thread today, for a Saturday!

New Englanders, the rumors are getting louder that Magic will be in NYC next summer!!!! Hopefully official announcement this week. :woohoo:

Soccer has been going strong for a couple of chilly weeks here!!

Very busy thread this weekend... we went away for a couple of days and there's like 3+ pages of catch-up!?! Spent the weekend in the exciting state of Delaware (insert jokes here....). Tim had a swim meet at the Univ. of DE. For the rest of us that basically meant a weekend of tax free shopping! :rotfl:

DCL in NYC would be awesome!!!

Can I ask how long is the auto train ride and how much? PM if you don't want to put it here

Scheduled departure is 4PM and the arrival time the next day is 9:30AM. Some people write that there is often delays, but many others say that's not really the case.

I just priced our family of 5 (2 adults, 3 kids) in coach, no sleeper car, with an oversized vehicle, and a AAA discount - it came to $1,026. That's over $150 more than it was when we booked last month.

Sounds, like you had a FUN weekend. How did Tim do in the meet?

Would your family go on the cruise if it was out of NYC?? The only negative thing about NYC is the terminal would need to be redone there it is "gross."

Yes it does. Thanks

Hi Janeanne,

How was your weekend? Did I tell you that we want two landyards? Thanks, fortaking this one. I think I might have orginally told you four but now only need two. Thanks, a bunch!!

He did pretty good... it's tough because he moved up an age group this year and is the 15-18 bracket (he's 15). He had two 3rd place finishes and his relay team finished 2nd.

Saving airfare, train fare, or driving would be one of the reasons we would consider sailing from NYC. Of course, the itinerary would have to be desirable as well. And yes - that terminal is gross!

Weekend was great - Wine tasting Friday Night , Benefit Dance Saturday night :cool1: and cards today with a bunch of friends. :yay:

I will change you to two lanyards.

Janeanne

Just checking in to say, "Hi". It's been awhile, all is well. DD (7) started softball this weekend, the weather was chlly but nice.

We are also doing Universal for 3 days before the cruise, also staying off-property. Haven't been there is about 5 years, really looking forward to it, but have zero interest in Harry Potter land.

We are two weeks out from booking excursions! Haven't been to Nassau since 2002. We never did Atlantis so that is high on our list this time.

Need to catch-up on stuff like FEs, lanyards, etc.

Jeff

Congrats to Tim. Sounds like he did well for being in the new age bracket.

I really hope that the itinerary is a good one. Going out of NYC would be AWESOME!!

Sounds like a nice weekend.

What is everyone hoping to book in terms, of Palo, Remy's, spa, etc....??

Ten days and counting till we leave for WDW!!:cool1:

Add me to the I need to/want to lose weight before the cruise group, Amanda crunches will tighten your abs.
Maybe we should pick a date to start losing weight, go over to the weight loss threads and start an 8/16 thread.

Who's in for moral support to lose weight?
If you start a thread, let us know! We are hoping to join some friends in the Princess 1/2 next year, which means we need to start training now (or, as soon as the weather begins to be consistent), as we are starting from scratch. This is doubling as a cruise-weight-loss plan. ;)

Can I ask why HRH versus the other ones? We went with the Royal Pacific only because it was the cheapest one we could book onsite. Just wondering if we're missing something.

Cathleen

My DSIL and family are staying at HRH before the cruise (they aren't jumping around like us :) ) and their kids rave about the pool - so our kids want to hang with their cousins and thats the main reason we are staying HRH instead of Royal Pacific, which was originally my first choice.

I am, I am.... I've been hiberanting and its time to get myself out there and get moving!!

OK I am going to start a thread for summer cruisers who want to join
How about we start the Monday after Easter, so then it will be after the Spring break and it gives us time to psche ourselves and decide how we want to lose it, which diet, exercise etc.
What do you all think?

LANYARD UPDATE

Good Afternoon all. Here are a few facts about out lanyards.

We are up to a total of 77:cool1: Only need 23 more for the minimum.

I also sent a note to the company and am getting mock ups in yellow and lime green. We will have a vote after I get them for the final decision.

To all of our friends outside the US - I will bring your lanyards to the ship for delivery.

:tinker:pluto: Janeanne

Hi Dh and I have just joined a local gym - I'm trying to swim the weight off before the cruise. I like to swim thats what I think the only downside to the Dream will be - from the looks of it you can't swim in the adult pool:sad2:
Count me in for the losing weight challenge;)

Morning all,

I'm looking for ward to tomorrows countdown:thumbsup2

I've had a lovely weekend - It was mothering Sunday here in the UK yesterday, so I had a day out with my mam finishing with a lovely Indian meal;) (I did swim in the morning to try and offset the meal:rotfl:

Tonight Caleb has a 'puppy party' :lmao: I really hope he behaves himself as he is very strong willed (fab though) The puppys get together to socialise at a vet's practice as they are too young to go out still. Well here goes - will post if I survive:goodvibes

Im getting really excited about this vacation

Just a couple of photos from yesterday -
