Just reported on the PassPorter boards:

New, Lower AquaDuck Minimum Height
Adrienne Vincent-Phoenix ("AVP") over at MousePlanet reports that Disney Cruise Line has reduced the minimum height for tandem riders on AquaDuck, the "water coaster" on the Disney Dream. The new minimum height when riding tandem is 42 inches, reduced from the original 48 inches. As we had reported earlier, solo riders must be at least 54 inches tall to ride. Adrienne also reports that there is now a minimum age requirement for solo riders: Children under age 7 must ride tandem with another rider aged 14 or older.

I am still not sure ds (5yo) will ride it!

This makes my DS (7yr, 46") very, very happy!

Happy Weekend.............

Hey Kristin,

Choir board meeting tomorrow, UGH, and grocery shopping. And trying not to freeze to death. A whopping 2 degrees right now, brrrrrrrrrr.

How about you?

Hi Erika,

UGH, stay warm. We are supposed to get some snow on Sunday but nothing to big compared to what we have gotten on past storms.,

Tomorrow, not sure. The kids want to spend a few hours at my parents house. I need to find a dress for our Night Out in a few weeks. I have been organizing our First Annual Night Out on the Town for my daughter's school. My friend and I are doing it all. We are having a Live and Silent Auction and Raffles. We have two three night cruises we are auctioning off, and Disney Park Hopper Passes. We are having it a really nice banquet place. It is cocktail attire. We are even raffling off an IPAD.
It sounded like a great idea when we decided to do it. But it has been a ton of work. But so many people have been very generous donating stuff.

Hopie feel tonight though on her arm at gymnastics so if she wakes up tomorrow and is still complaining I may have to take her for an x-ray.

On Sunday I want to get some extra rest though too since I have to go a recheck next week for the pneumonia.

My girls need some extra rest we have our State Testing for their grade that starts on Wed. so it will be a busy week for the girls..

So a whole lot of nothing really this weekend. Oh yeah and grocery shopping for the week. But our grocery store started something really cool, you shop online and they do all of the shopping for you and then you just pull into a parking spot and they bring the groceries right out to your car. So I have been doing that the last few months. I love it!!:thumbsup2:)

Happy Weekend.............

What does everyone have planned??

Food shopping seems to high on my list. It seems that since the kids were home this week, they have cleaned me out of every snack and juice/iced tea boxes! So the well stocked pantry I thought I had is more like Old Mother Hubbard's cupboard! So food shopping and laundry are my Saturday.

As for Sunday, my daughter has an Irish Step dance competition. That will take up at least the morning, then I think I may have some of our neighbors (who are all really close friends) over for dinner. thats the weekend in a nutshell.

I have put off buying are plane tickets and hoping the prices come down a little. Keeping my fingers crossed. Happy weekend everyone!

:wave2: Kristin !! That NIGHT OUT sounds GREAT !!! though there surely is LOTS of "work" involved to organise it !!!
GOOD dress-shopping !!!!

:wizard::wizard: that dear Hopie wakes up feeling OK !!!

Please REST as much as you can !!! :lovestruc Pneumonia is nothing to underestimate !!!!!

Love that grocery shopping you describe !!!:yay:
That is what I call CULTURAL DEFFERENCES !!!
Here in Italy distances are smaller ; so
either we shop online and have the stuff DELIVERED directly home
or we shop "in person" ( I eg like to choose fresh vegetables/fruit myself) and afterwards in that day we have all our stuff again delivered home !!
Really convenient !!

But I think that home-delivering is mostly impossible for you in US - as your houses are "spread out" and your distances sooo ... ;) long !!!!

Take care of yourself !!!

( off I go to write to our Secretary of Education and Science ... :upsidedow
Need to be FIRM  BUT very polite :littleangel: ............)

It looks like some of you were still on line ... while I was sleeping (my Friday to Saturday night / YOUR Friday evening ).
:grouphug: Erika , Mary and Kristin already have a lot planned !!!!!! HAVE A GOOD DAY !!!!!
:wave2: Helen !! How is Caleb doing ?
Hi there hmansure family !!

I’ll have to work from home Saturday morning (it’s nice :) that my week at work ends on Thursday afternoon … but the next two days I often have some “brain work” to do – or court/ social services to visit , for some of our pupils who have big personal problems ).

In the afternoon we’ll go to a farm in the outskirts of Milan – where they sell TASTY free-range (?) poultry , grown up in REAL OPEN FIELDS … the meat is awesome , so different from the one you can buy in supermarkets !

On Sunday we have nothing planned but a lovely visit by our little niece Ludovica : she is 3 months and a half old now - and becoming a sweet –always smiling baby !!! A cutie !!!

CIAO everyone !!! RELAX and HAVE FUN !!!

Hello everyone. Sounds like some of you have a pretty busy weekend. I too have a busy weekend, and it has also been a crazy week. My dad has been in the hospital since Thursday, and I'm not sure when they will be letting him go, so I have been there alot.
I am also in charge of a girl's camp that is the week before our cruise, so I have a planning meeting once a month, and tomorrow night is the night this month. I also have a meeting this morning with a friend who is assisting me. I have so much to do for this meeting tomorrow night, but I also need to go back to the hospital to see my dad.

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

CIAO :wave2: Candy !! Thoughts and prayers  for you Dad , I hope it's nothing serious and that he can fully recover soon !!!
Let us know ...

Good luck with your meetings !!! :) You surely are having a BUSY weekend !!!

 Laura

OMG, board meeting two and a half hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UGH, and it was a bunch of BS!

OK, done. No wait, did I mention it's still only 2 degrees and it's been snowing all day?

OK, now done LOL. Candy is your dad going to be ok??

One of the local chain grocery stores near us tried the home delivery thing, but ended it. I'm sure it wasn't profitable as that's the major motivating factor in things like that here!

We've tried the the online ordering thing, too.... We find it's good for the regular stuff we buy, but we're picky about veggies, fruit, meat, seafood, etc... and prefer to go into the store....

Dd and I just got back from a day up in NYC. A bunch of seemingly random online groups (a few PassPorters, some Studio Central, and Intercot) got together at the NYC Disney Store for a behind the scenes tour and lunch.

It was really cool to see everything w/ extra info as to why things were done specific ways (ie the muted colors on the first floor to welcome visitors from many cultures vs the more vibrant colors on the second floor) and see some of the special things they do w/ kids (birthdays, unbirthdays, parade through store, music, coloring, etc.).

Beth was a bit bored w/ some of the kid stuff since most of the kids were younger, but she LOVES  the video jukebox wall so all was good!

It was a great day and we got to meet some new Disney friends! :wizard:

Sounds like it's just that crazy time of year for everyone. We're swamped with work here (DP is working nights this week) AND we are in the midst of condo-buying :scared1: ...

Gotta have everything in place before we go to WDW-- 2 weeks from now, we'll be checking in at AKL! :cool1:

Phrase of the week: Just hang in there! :upsidedow

Erika, he is a fighter! He has failing kidneys (been going to dialysis for 6 years) he also has COPD (Chronic lung disease) and he had a triple bypass 6 years ago. His hemoglobin level was very low, and they feel he is bleeding somewhere internally. They had to give him a blood transfusion through a dialysis machine. They have been running lots of test, but haven't figured out where he is losing blood. He is really out of it right now. He was on blood thinners, but they have taken him off of that because he also has bleeding around his brain.
His hemoglobin numbers are back up since the tranfusions, but we are not sure if they will stay that way. His left arm is extremely swollen, it's as big as his leg. He has perked up today, hopefully he will continue to do better.
