We are headed down to MD... thought it was funny that you all are coming to NJ on Monday and we headed to MD?!!

That is too funny. I hope you had a nice trip to MD. Where were you going? We had a nice time visiting my parents. I am helping them plan thier 50th wedding anniversary celebration so we got a lot of work done while I was there.

Sounds very fun!! I am also trying to dodge all the illnesses flying around as I have a race in less than a month (1st race of 2011!!).

Good luck with dodging being sick and with the race.

I just got caught up on all the posts today from 2/16 to today. We are at Disney right now sitting in the Tree Houses. It is so nice out today it's been in the 80's past few days and we are loving the hot sun seeing that it's been cold and snowy back home although the day we left for Florida it was in the high 60's and snow was melting big time.
Anyhow, we will also be at Vero from the 10th until the day of the cruise. I agree, we should have a mini meet before the cruise that would be cool. Our son is 7 and would like to know a few friends before the cruise too!

Great idea! Just sent in my FB request. Thinking of moving my dummy reservation to the Fantasy 2012 Thanksgiving cruise...anyone have an opinion about cruising in November? I typically cruise during the warmer months.

DGH and I were online yesterday night ( Sunday for us here ) and COULD GET ALL OF THE ADRs

we had wished for !!!

We are excited because we could even get the FANTASMIC DINNER PACKAGE and ..................
while we were looking for another restaurant in MK
CINDERELLA ROYAL TABLE popped up !!!

We had not even made a dream about that restaurant ... it usually is sold out ... NOW WE HAVE A RESERVATION for it !!! Can't believe it !!!!!

Congrats on getting all your ressies. DS loved Cape May Cafe for breakfast. He really enjoyed seeing Minnie. And, our family always does a breakfast at Boma.

Great meals Laura! Isn't it nice to get what you wanted and more! I forgot to book my California Grill ressie, I guess I'd better go do that now. wish me luck.

Thanks Laura!! We had a great time! We didn't go to Downtown Disney, instead we went to this place called the Garden Walk. It is an outdoor area with some shops and lots of restaurants. Unfortunately is was cold and rainy, so we didn't really walk around too much. My cousin from Michigan even commented on how cold it was. I was surprised she was wearing a jacket. LOL

hi all, haven't been on in awhile since my computer decided to take a very long nap - he's dead! So all I have is my dinosaur of a laptop that is very slow. Doesn't it seem things happen in 3's? My computer died, my washing machine died, and we found out my daughter needs all 4 of her wisdom teeth out like now. So I guess a new computer is far down on the priority list right now. I did get a new washer and dryer already and I am loving the new HE top loader. it does so many clothes at once it's amazing. For all you runners on here I just signed up for the warrior dash in May. It is a really cool looking course with fire jumping, mud crawling, and many other fun things all rolled up into a 5K. They have them all over the US and in Canada too. Check it out at warriordash . com I hope everyone that has been sick is feeling better, there's been so many different things going around these days it's amazing we can stay as healthy as we do.

You are so right how things happen in threes. We had to cancel our Panama cruise because of all the money we had to fork out all at once...a refridgerator, new laptop for DD, and major money to fix our car. Plus their were a few smaller things that we had to pay money for at that time.
I hope all goes well for you at the warrior dash!! Sounds like fun, exhausting too!!

Has anyone taken their children to the T-Rex place at Downtown Disney? Is it worth going there for lunch with our girls who are 7 years old? Is it like the Rainforest Cafe? We've never been to Downtown Disney and are thinking about going there after we check in to the WL post-cruise on 8/21.

Has anyone taken their children to the T-Rex place at Downtown Disney? Is it worth going there for lunch with our girls who are 7 years old? Is it like the Rainforest Cafe? We've never been to Downtown Disney and are thinking about going there after we check in to the WL post-cruise on 8/21.

We went for lunch on our last trip and our kids loved it (including DD who was only 5 at the time). Yes, you can say it is like the Rainforest, but with lots of dinos! There are different themed areas of the restaurant with colors, effects, and all that stuff that go on through your meal. The prices are kind of off the charts though. The kids menu has some good choices on it though.

Post cruise options for us include T-Rex as well as our kids all want to do it again!

There is a cool "dig" area outside if you get stuck waiting (we didn't have to wait at lunch time). There's also an extensive gift shop and a "Build a Dino" shop. So bottom line - lunch could cost you a decent sum, but beware the tempting add-ons!!! We ended up with a stuffed dino and a couple of t-shirts!?!?

Train tix are purchased and received an email from my TA at 7:30am this morning...all our our ADRs are booked!

I also went a bit nutso and picked up a bunch of stuff (t shirts, messenger bags for the kids and a couple of water bottles) during the free shipping sale at Disney Store online.

Lots of stuff done, but I still have passports and a park/cruise bag for me still on the list!

Our post cruise stay at WDW will include:

1900 Park Fare
Coral Reef
50's Prime Time Cafe
Boma
Chef's de France

Yay!!

The pirate cruise for the kids is booked as well. I was going to have them do the one at GF, but dd lobbied for the Yacht Club since she did the GF one in 2008 and this is the last trip she can participate (probably wouldn't do it but is "taking" ds 5 on his first pirate cruise!). She's excited to search World Showcase for pirate treasure!

They should do a pirate cruise excursion for kids at Castaway Cay. It can't be that difficult to replicate it there could it?

See you are going on dream the 16th. We are going the 2nd. Wanted to thank you again for all the information from the dvc members cruise last sept.

Snow day for us up here in Frederick County so catching up on my threads. I still click on your members cruise thread to watch the dream or magic at port canaveral every sat, sunday and thursday. Unfortunately radison cam does not work.

Ok gotta go shovel some more. Hope everyone is doing well!

They should do a pirate cruise excursion for kids at Castaway Cay. It can't be that difficult to replicate it there could it?

Your ADRs sound great !!!
It looks like lots of our cruise mates love BOMA !!! Me too !!

Do you know that at Castaway Cay you and kids could do the PIRATE TREASURE HUNT ( or whatever it's called ) ?
It is lot of fun : you get a map and "weird" clues ,

so you visit the whole island searching for "hints" .................... until you get to a real TREASURE CHEST - full with "real" doblons !!! You are entitled to take as many as you like . DGH and I chose two of red gold and two of white gold !
These "doblons" are really well done ,with the Disney logo on one face and the sentence "I found treasure on Castaway Cay" on the other !! Cool !!

There is a bit of walking involved - but it's so fun !!!

Glad that your feeling better. I am still soo very tired. I went back to the doctor yesterday and have to go back next week for another chest x-ray. They told me to really stay out of the cold and it is wicked cold here.

The doctors are worried since I have had a few lung problems before. My right lung I had to have 20% of it removed. So now that the left lung has pneumonia in it, it really makes it harder to breathe since both my lungs have something wrong with them!!

This will be our first visit to Boma. I've heard such great things about it and I've never been inside AKL so I am REALLY excited to see that too!

How do you sign up for this? Is it only for parties that have kids? I don't remember hearing anything about it on our last cruise on the Magic (in Jan).
