Hi Everyone! We'll be joining you on this very (DIS)full cruise!

My DP and I are just back from a Western Caribbean, and we rebooked on to the 8/16 double-dip to celebrate my parents' 40th anniversary. Hopefully my brother and his gf are coming as well.

I'm in total cruise withdrawal, so I hope planning this trip can hold me over!

Philly schools are closed tomorrow I worked for the school system and they are giving administrators off also

We usually work even when schools are closed.

I actually live in the burbs close to PHL airport and they reported that a plane accidently hit the de-icing tower tonight

Hello all!!
We just got some wonderful news today...my niece is getting married!!!!! We are all so very excited!!! We have been expecting this for a while. When she called us this morning she sounded so excited, she is just thrilled!! He took her up to the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah and proposed to her there!

I hope those who are getting hammered with sleet and snow stay warm!

Oh my gosh Joe, that is scarey about the plane hitting a de-icing tower!!

Holy Snow here, we have about 21 inches of new snow that fell last night.......So NO SCHOOL HERE!!!!!!!!!!!! Love a snow day!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is around here too, but tonight they added that they had to flush 3 ice cubes down the toilet! I don't know what that is for, but they heard it from a friend at school!

Just got a call that the kids have a 2 hour delay for tomorrow...Will get a call at 5am if it's closed! (can't they wait to call until 7 LOL!!!)

I actually put a block on the number that they call from last night and it worked like a charm. No 5AM wake up call to tell me I can sleep in.

That is a GREAT idea. I turned the ringers off on the upstairs phone but I like blocking the number looks like we could be hit again with more snow Friday Night, Saturday Night, and possibly a BIG STORM AGAIN on Monday Night into Tuesday Night!!!

Hanna,, still is sleeping with her pajamas inside out and a spoon under her pillow since the kids in her class told her that they did this on the last snow-storm and it made it a snow-day. So she is now convinced if she does that tonight then she will get a snow-day tomorrow!! Just too cute!! Hope,, on the other hand will not do it..

I SO love this "theory" !!! Kids are simply awesome !!!!

THIS is amazing too !!!

Unfortunately here we do not get so much snow ...
so our pupils have just some minor issues ... like arriving late at school and being scolded by the principal ... BUT WE NEVER CLOSE SCHOOLS !!!!

I told my students that in NY area they had schools closed for many days and ... I got this comment :
I knew it : I was born in the wrong place !!!

SERIOUSLY though : stay safe all of you !!!!

When Jim tried logging into work this morning there was a message that 1-95 was closed due to three seperate accidents, Merritt Parkway was closed in sections and Metro North wasn't running due to line troubles. Needless to say, he's working from home today.

OMG !!! WE have seen snow like that ONLY in Christmas cards !!!!

Does NorthEast always get SO MUCH SNOW / STORMS ... or is this Winter specially rough ?
I'm confused as NY in fact is on the same latitude as Naples ... where now they go strolling along the sea in jeans and t shirt ( maybe a jumper at sunset ...)

Surely the new restaurant is " A BEAUTY" & the menu so inviting ... though IMHO the extra charge seems quite "high" ...

Is someone planning a visit to Remy ??
