OMG - the weather gurus are already saying there's going to be another huge east coast storm next week!?! There's also two clippers coming through tomorrow and Saturday. Time to abandon ship!! :rotfl2:

From a Philly news site - some videos of thundersnow. When it happens - it's kind of eerie, but on the other hand when the lightning flashes it reflects off all the snow and is pretty cool!!

I am so done with all this snow!! But I have taken away all the kids pajamas, I've hidden all the spoons, and turned off the ice maker:rotfl2::rotfl2:, so hopefully that will cut down on the accumulation of snow and NO more snow days! I have heard rumors that they are already taking some of the spring break days back.

I also read the review for Remy's, It sounds nice but $75 is a lot, is that per person or couple? I think we will try to get Palo for brunch or dinner! Any news on the the dining rotations??

Here are some pictures of the girls in the snow today!!

:woohoo::woohoo::woohoo: SOOOOO BEAUTIFUL PICS !! The girls look so grown up !!!!!!!!!:lovestruc I remember them as "little kids" ... now they are almost like my younger pupils !!!!!!!!!!!!! So adorable !! which one is that gorgeous girl with a large smile ( missing ;) a couple of teeth ? ).
The place itself looks MAGIC - though I know that you all have had some issues due to all that snow ....

STAY WARM !!!

I thought I read it was per person?? While it looks nice - we can find a lot of other ways to spend $150 on DCL!! :)

OMG just looking at all the pictures of the snow up north makes me really really glad I left NJ in 2005 for warm sunny Florida. I cannot even imagine dealing with snow again.

Question for those of you who have been to V&A? I understand Remy is similar in nature to V&A. DH and I are on the Dream on 3/3 and have reservations for Remy, but we are not all that adventureous with food and are not wine junkies (I like my pinot and thats about it). Will Remy be a waste for us. We love Palo and also have reservations for dinner there but I hate to spend $200 plus for a meal at Remy that we wont absolutely love.

Any opinions?

:) Have you already read this review about REMY ??

http://www.disneyfoodblog.com/2011/01/26/disney-dream-remy/

Surely the new restaurant is " A BEAUTY" & the menu so inviting ... though IMHO the extra charge seems quite "high" ...

Is someone planning a visit to Remy ?? :cloud9:

Quote : When guests leave Remy, women will either receive a red rose (to signify romance, if the woman is part of a couple) or a pink rose (to signify beauty). Guests will also find a treat when they return to their staterooms on the ship — a box of chocolates courtesy Remy!

WOW !! I had this "royal" treat when dining at :cloud9: Victoria & Albert's Chef Table ....

MANGEZ VRAI !!!!! laura

HI HAPPY FRIDAY !

I would love to go to Remy (im a big food lover) and I think the experience is magical.
But (im not sure Dave will be up for it as he's a pretty fussy eater:rolleyes1)

Its my birthday on the 17th and I keep thinking it would be great but then again I dont want to miss any of the regular restauants.

Anyone know when the first of the 5 night cruises are happening on the Dream then at least we'll know for definate what nights are your repeats??

Down to 200 days to go!!!

My kids have another day off again today. I don't think the town clears out the schools until the last moment.

I don't think the 5 night cruises begin until late May/early June if I'm not mistaken.

Northern Philly burbs.... back to work/school today. The roads were awful in our neighborhood this morning but drivable, thank goodness!

Dh and I have pretty much decided to go w/ the Auto Train. We will be staying w/ his mom and stepdad our first night in Florida which brings the two budgets (driving/train) within $60 of each other! :thumbsup2

He is really excited about it...and ds-5 (a Thomas freak) is going to be hyped as well.

We have looked into taking the the auto train but have decided that we will be driving. It is about a 14 hour drive which is doable. DS, who will be 4 at the time of the cruise, loves Thomas too. I am sure he would love being on the train just like your DS. Maybe your DS & my DS will be able to share their love of Thomas on the cruise. I am sure DS will wear one of his many Thomas the Train shirts on the cruise. He was on :cloud9: last year when he was able to wear his favorite shirt and hug Mickey all on the same day.

Cool...Did you get the shirt at Strasburg? We've done that 3x (tip...don't opt for the December visit...June is MUCH better!)!

Ben's first trip to WDW was during his 2nd birthday. While this photo he is playing w/ a Disney vehicle...he was just as likely to have one of his Take Along trains.
Ben_Small%20World.jpg

This was while in/on line for Small World. He layed down like this ALL OVER property...only took about 1/2 a day to realize that when we told him he had to move up all he had to do is get up for a second and then he could lay down and play again! About halfway through the trip some well meaning older woman offered me some hand sanitizer when a ball he was playing w/ bounced out of the stroller...I thanked her and explained that we had surpassed the need for hand sanitizer loooong ago! :lmao:

Ben still loves him some Thomas but at 5yo he has branched out to include all forms of transportation. He also has a healthy Cars obsession which I'm sure will be in full force on the cruise since the new movie is due out in July.

There will definitely be a mix Thomas, Hot Wheels (they are faster than Matchbox because they have a flame on them! LOL) and Cars/Cars2 in his backpack for the trip!

I'm sure that they both will have a blast on the cruise. Ben has been looking at all the pictures I've been drooling over...he's already a bit bummed about not being tall enough for the AquaDuck (although I'm not sure he would ride it once there), but the Mickey slide seems to be making him feel a bit better about it!

Take care all those who have snow !! I hope you all are coping ok.
Keep having Disney Dreams ;)

We got Charles's shirt at the Day Out with Thomas event in Baltimore. Thank you for the tip about Strasburg because I wnat to take him there since I hear it is a bigger event. Charles is into Cars too. He has a Lighting McQueen suitcase, coat, and backpack (as well as a Thomas backpack). So, I do not know what wither backpack will be filled with when we go on the cruise but there will definitely be some type of car or train in it.

Charles is looking forward to the Mickey slide. I have not told him yet that he will not be able to ride the AquaDuck but, like your DS, I do not think he would want to ride it once he saw it. I am going to have to break the news to him before our trip, however, so there won't be a meltdown on the ship.

Bless This photo is soo cute ;)

Thank you.

December is just super cold and Strasburg is out in the middle of farms so the wind is fierce and makes it almost impossible to walk from tent to tent or some of the other exhibits.

The downside to June is that it is packed, but we've had success w/ getting an early train reservation (like around 10/10:30) and leaving before lunch. There is a great "amish" style restaurant (Hershey Farm) not far away that we go to every visit...yummy food and not all that expensive.

In other musings...I wonder if they will be showing Cars 2 on board?? The would be really popular w/ Ben if he could see it again on Mickey's boat!

Thanks jenanderson for the website info had alot of fun looking at all the information on the site and seeingeveryone who will be sailing on the five night cruise.
