August 16, 2011, Disney Dream - Part 2

It was 8o degrees down here today. So, I'm walking around in a tank top in shorts while packing for our trip to PA this weekend where the high will 20 and the low will be 5 degrees. 5 DEGREES!!! I've never been in 5 degree weather!

It is also 80 degrees here too. I don't think I have ever been in weather colder than 15 degrees!! Yikes!!

The WDW Today podcast will be broadcasting live on Mouseworld Radio over the next couple of days w/ all kinds of special guests.

My TA emailed me this evening. She just found out she will be on the 1/30 sailing.

I that she will be able to answer all my questions based upon personal experience!

We made a quick trip to the World for my son's 2nd birthday from January 12-17. We just returned to an ice storm here in PA! My husband and I booked the new Wild Africa Trek for opening day on the 16th at 10 am. It was awesome... especially since we had Joe Rodhe, the man who is responsible for the building of Animal Kingdom park, on our tour with us! I am still in awe over the fact that we met him!

We also headed over to Cocoa Beach on Saturday to look at hotels in case we decide to stay post cruise and wave to the Disney Magic as it pulled out of port.

Don't worry. We have humidity up here in Philly so it will feel so much warmer

Oh yea, that's just in the summer. One thing that you will learn about the weather forecast up here is that they could call for 10 inches of snow and you may get flurries. Or they could forecast 2 inches and get two feet

Welcome to Philly! I love it here even though I live in the suburbs now. But I always can brag that I went to high school with Will Smith

Snow Day #4 here in CT...didn't get any notification this morning and had the kids all ready and in the car. Noticed that there wasn't too much traffic and then we see the empty parking lot... went back to bed.

On a side note, it's not technically a snow day, it's sleeting and freezing rain. More snow expected for Friday and then again next Tuesday. UGH!

Is it ever going to end?!? Seems like every 3rd or 4th day it's snowing or something! Did you guys have that lovely thick layer of ice on top of everything this morning?!

It was fantastic! But being on the tour with Joe Rodhe was a DREAM of a lifetime! I will post a few pics when I get home from school! We have a 2 hour delay today... I haven't been to school since last Tuesday between this snowy/icy weather and my personal days!

We are expecting the same "arctic chill" - the wind chill temps are suppose to be -20 to -30° here tomorrow! Lets hope we can all expect a warm up soon!
