So we were planning on doing an waterpark excursion at Atlantis. I thought a couple months ago when looking at the port adventures for Nassau that there was an excursion to the waterpark that was around $80 or $90 per adult. Now I am only finding the Atlantis Aquaventure which looks cool, but it's $169 per adult. Maybe I am crazy, but I thought I found something before that was much less expensive. :confused3

I'll start looking at booking waterpark tickets directly from Atlantis.

I hope the Easter Bunny was good to everyone.

I'm still waiting for the prices to drop to get home. I bought our way there but it's $292 each one way to get home and that's CRAZY!!!

We were able to find ours for $104 each way and that is really low for MN to FL.

Gas prices on Long Island are running from $4.03-$4.25 for regular. We are still planning on the Autotrain out of Va, about a 5 hour drive there and then get on the train. We will have our car and not have to rent one (saving some $$)

As far as the Blue Lagoon Beach day, it sounds great, reasonable price, but with 4 days at Vero Beach before and 2 CC stops, not sure about another beach day for the rest of the family. Give me a book, beach chair and a frosty beverage and I am good!! But the hubby and kids prefer to ride the waves, not the floats in the lagoon.

OMG the gas prices are going nuts! We paid $3.78 today and I was annoyed it was that high. I can tell you that we won't drive to our cabin as much this summer if prices go as high as they say and we really won't be taking our boat out much either.

I have to look into the Blue Lagoon Beach day. We had planned on staying on the ship while at Nassau but I am always open to doing something fun at a beach!

So proud of his dedication but...go on vacation without him?? I know I am going to have a much harder time with this than he will (my parents will come spend a week at our house so he won't be alone ... - he isn't happy about that...he asked if we could just leave a credit card number at the local pizza place!!!) So, as of right now, we'll be a party of 3 - me, DH and DD11. But we're not cancelling the second room we got for the kids til the last possible moment... I don't know if I am ready for this adult decision on his part...

Jude - I am so happy it is working out for both of us to be on the ship! Your DS is being quite mature about the whole thing and I can't imagine how hard it would be to leave a kid at home....I am so not ready for our kids to be this grown up!

Happy Easter to all! I'm recovering from a sugar coma at the moment from the mini desserts I made with good intentions (just ate too many). The sun was out for most of the day here which was a lovely surprise. We were able to have an egg hunt for our kids, niece and nephews before the rain came down.

Planning on paying off the cruise this week since we are Gold, although with the rest of our traveling party at Silver it won't help us book Palo with them. I'm still going to need to go to Palo onboard to add them to the reservation later.

Excursions planned: our friend booked 4 rooms at Comfort Suites for Atlantis use. Room cost was around $350 each with all the added service charges. I'd like to find a snorkeling Catamaran trip, there is one offered thru Disney, just haven't read much about it. May book parasailing for Castaway, the kids loved it last cruise.

FYI, I paid $4.15/gallon for REGULAR gas this week in Fairfield County, CT :scared1: Please don't let it go any higher. It seems the more expensive it gets to fill the tank, the faster my tank needs filling, not sure why :confused3

Happy Easter to all!!!

We did the Atlantis Adventure when we went on the Wonder, its really a fun day. You will love it. We had a great day at the Atlantis.
We would now be considered 4 adults so, it's just way too expensive for a few hours. If we hadn't done it before, I might consider.

I was thinking of just staying on board but, it looks like the ship will still be crowded as the more I read, the more I hear people like to stay on board in Nassau.

I was on Jetblue.com today and could get us $235 round trip which isnt bad, but it would end up costing alot more (multiply x5), after the car, and transportation to and from the airport, etc. I will keep watching.

$235 r/t what dates did you put in for those prices? That is GREAT!!!

Same for us.... Booked on Auto Train, but watching airfares with fingers crossed. Just booked Southwest for DS and I to go to Orlando for the week before the 4th of July for a school-related conference. Got a great fare for that trip, but for some reason not having any luck for the August trip (for 5 people as well!).

I'm so glad we booked the Auto Train when we did.

Airfare is $355/pp out of Philly for our dates on Southwest, and the Auto Train is now $550 more than when we booked in February!

With gas prices jumping like they are (went up 11 cents in just the last week to $3.88 here in Philly), it looks like we picked the most economical way to get to Florida this summer!

Easter was quiet here. The kids got some good candy (along with a book, a kite and a Zhu Zhu pet for each), and the Easter Bunny left the Toy Story Mania game for the Wii for the family! :cool1:

Hope everyone's day was wonderful! :flower3:

Happy Easter everyone!

We had a great day. Nice service in the morning, lunch with extended family for lunch and a nice easter egg hunt following. Daughter performed at church in the evening followed by Mexican Food. Now I'm on the DIS Boards...LOL!

I went ahead and booked our Air from DFW to Orlando this morning. :thumbsup2
I guess it was a Easter present to myself. Thought it was pretty reasonable so jumped on it. $354 Roundtrip each after all taxes and charges. Not to bad. What do ya'll think? :confused3

Now to go ahead and book our Resort stay. My AAA membership has lapsed but thinking of renewing it and booking through them to get the AAA Rate. 90% sure we are going to stay at Port Orleans French Quarter and do Disney Transportation.

HAPPY EASTER EVERYON!!

We had such a nice and fun day here at WDW!!:thumbsup2:banana:

Hope everyone had a happy Easter. We spent the day at Seaworld since yesterday was also my DS's 13th birthday. Had a great time, Manta is AWESOME!!! Then we went to a japanese steakhouse for dinner and coldstone for dessert. No easter egg hunts here....but then again, I did hide over 200 of them at DS's party on friday night.. was amazed to see how much 13 year olds still enjoyed it. I guess it was because it was in the dark and they had to use glow sticks to find them

All in all an exciting and exhausting weekend.

Just finished my fish extender. The no-sew instructions worked pretty well, but I think I'm going to hand sew the pockets and the part that holds the dowel just to make sure they're secure. I'm really happy with the way it came out though!
