FJS961 is my license plate ... I use that "name" on all my boards, which before this, comprised of only car and gear head sites

name is Frank

CT tags are 3 numbers followed by 3 letters. When I got the Ferrari I almost got "WIFMAD" (wife mad) as she kind of hated the car initially - its grown on her though .. ok, she tolerates it

I decided on my initials followed by the birth months of my kids (sept,june,jan) so it looks like a standard plate at first glance but its actually a 'stealth vanity tag' The reversal of numbers/letters is the clue.

I'm BACK!

Here is the long and short of it all....I have been trying to work with my TA to switch our August 2011 cruise with all of you to a July 2012 cruise because of a bunch of trainings that my boss wanted me to do. Told family we could not cruise this year, told all of you I wouldn't be on the ship and sadness settled in. Got TA to work on pricing and I set out to plan a wonderful 2-week trip to the east coast for this summer in July. My plans were all in place to go to NY and CT - hotel rooms reserved, schedules coordinated with Jude and Kristin, maps ordered from AAA, etc. Family was feeling happier that there would be a fun summer vacation and we were all excited to see the east coast! Prices came back from TA for the 2012 cruises and I was not happy at all with the pricing when I compared it to the price we had. I talked with DH and then talked with my boss. I showed him what my plans were, what the prices of the different cruises would be and asked if I worked on a new training plan....would he reconsider giving me the time off. The important thing to note - I am not really suppose to work until the last week in August. My schedule is suppose to follow the teacher schedule. This training is something special that I am suppose to be able to say "I am not available" for. So, I worked out a totally new plan and this morning...it was APPROVED!

We will be on the ship with you all!

A HUGE thank you to Kristin for taking over the FE and to Janeanne for taking over the lanyards....you all are doing great with it and now I am excited to request to have my family join in with the FE and get some lanyards!!!!!

The August 16th Disney Dream Double Dip
Is turning out to be quite the trip
There sure is a lot to prepare
Before we all get there!

So far, thirty nine families are joining the fish extender swap
Thanks to Kritter it won't be a flop!
Janeanne is ordering lanyards, will they be yellow or green?
Be sure to PM her, so she knows how many you need!

Jen Anderson is back and cruising with us, we are glad to hear!
Laura is resting her leg, so please send her some cheer!
Disfanica is camping with lots of girls the week before we escape
let's hope she finds a lifeguard or it will be a LONG week at the lake!

Ginny had a fab party for her daugher's birthday
All the planning went well--hip hip horray!
FJS961 took his Ferrari out on the road
Finally, a weekend that it had not snowed!

And others are planning their 2012 trips, but I have my sights focused on this GREAT Double Dip!

I also need to sort out our insurance. I'd like this organised before Easter.

Evening Everyone! Aww...I feel so totally great to be back with all of you! Seriously, thanks so much for the warm welcome back messages - you guys are all the best!

Kristin - Please take good care of yourself and Hopie. I am sorry that you both are sick right now. Give Hope a big get well soon hug from me and tell Hanna that I am thinking of her as well. Don't worry about sending me an e-mail...we had a nice chat on the phone and I am sure we will be talking again soon.

Laura - You need to take good care of yourself too! Stay off that foot and rest so that you are able to get into a walking cast soon! I am glad my news today made you smile...I would have been so very sad not to have seen you and Marco this summer. Big hugs to both of you!

Erika - I would love to get together some time before we cruise! I think Emily would really enjoy getting to know a couple of the girls her age before we go. We will have to chat....

Candy - I hope you are able to get everything to work out for the camp - it sounds like a great time for the kids! Can't wait to hear about your cruise to Bermuda!

Karen - You are so creative! I loved the poem - what a great way to sum it all up!

WOW! I was busy for the rest of the day at work and never expected to have to read through pages of posts! We are a chatty crew! That is one of the things that I really enjoy about this group though.

My job is totally crazy right now since in about 2 weeks from now, we will be passing out the 800 iPads to the students. We are in constant meetings and planning sessions to be sure that everything is ready for the roll-out. I have felt a huge amount of pressure as I have written all the technology policies for the district and made the decisions on how pretty much everything will go from the set up of all the iPads to all the apps that should go on the machines and so much more. I think this is partly why my boss agreed to give me the time off again because I have been working incredibly long hours and doing things that are way beyond my job duty.

Time to get ready for bed as I my work day tomorrow will probably be a 12-14 hour day. Night everyone!

Easter is going to be pretty mellow for us. No small children to enjoy it with. And I will probably be trying to catch my breath from the crazy few days leading up to Easter. We are leaving the Thursday before to head to Vegas, then spending a couple of days with family for a memorial service, then driving home early Saturday so I can help get my house ready and decorate a cake for my niece's bridal shower at my house later that day. I am going to be so exhausted Sat. night.

For Easter we are going away with the dogs - We have a couple of Flyball Competitions over the week. The nice thing is our team camps together (its very 'social')

Just keep your fingers x that it stays dry please - 4 wet dogs in a caravan is not fun

I'm not having a great Tuesday since I had work and one class so far today, and I still have another class plus lots of studying and homework tonight, but there is a bright side. I put a deposit on the May 25, 2012 Magic cruise out of NYC! Now I have two trips to look forward to. Woohoo!

Things are good here! Today was a nice day in Maine, about 63 degrees. Trying to be really good about exercising, speaking of I'd better answer my elliptical's call, 'cuz she keeps calling!!

Wow-- in only 6 days all you platinums get to book Palo, etc! I can't believe how close its getting!

So much going on... one of my co-instructors is out for the rest of the semester, so we are all scrambling to pick up his workload. My parents are coming to visit for Easter; we set a closing date on the condo for next Tuesday! Oh, and I still haven't finished my taxes... (but it looks like I may get a refund--yeah!)

I just have to stop obsessing over our Disney plans... trying to move our cabins around and desperately hoping to get off the waitlist at Vero Beach for a 1 or 2 bedroom! Wishing and hoping for some pixie dust there! We did put our deposit down for Alaska 2012--so something to plan for next!

I hope everyone stays or gets healthy-- now that spring is here, there's so much to do!

We booked the June 15th two nighter. Then the June 30th Fantasy. Was the8/25 any better priced? We do not start school until after Labor Day soif that one was a good price we might think of that one instead of what we have already booked!!
