I've been researching the private cabanas on Castaway Cay in case anyone is interested in booking them. Kristin, I saw you were asking some questions on another thread. I just booked one for our 5/19 cruise; since it is just Steve and I we are getting one on Serenity Bay. There are 4 cabanas on the adult beach and 17 cabanas on the family beach. If you are in concierge you can call their phone number or email them and book ahead of time. Otherwise you go to the excursion desk on the first day of the cruise and see what is still available. There is a great description on mouseplanet dot com (not sure if I can post the website so you'll need to type out the website address the normal way). That description appears in an article called "Cabana Days on Castaway Cay." It gives the low down on everything related to cabanas at either location. Good luck if this appeals!:cool2::cool2::cool2::cool2:

Happy Wednesday :goodvibes

Thanks, Beth for the update on the Cabanas......

Anyone, booking a cruise out of NYC??!!:):thumbsup2

I think we are going to do Alaska next August. :) I'd love to try a Canada sailing, but I don't think we can swing the vacation for both.

we are talking about it. we have another dream double dip deposit for 7/22/12. thinking of changing that to the 8 night out of NYC 7/28

I am thinking about it, but my heart is really on the Carnival cruise out of NY that goes to Turks and Caicos and Half Moon Cay, described by previous Disney cruisers as "better" than CC

I will give All Seas a call to discuss and see, just very unsure

We are thinking about that date as well....Just emailed our TA for some pricing. DH and I are thinking about the 2 nighter too for just the two of us.

I got your PM as well. Will reply shortly. Emailing Concierge my wish list tonight...LOL!!

I'm seriously considering the 8 night out of New York now for a graduation trip. Looking primarily at the May 25th sailing. The price seemed high at first, but it's really comparable when you consider the amount we would be saving on airfare. Also it is so cool that the cruise includes a 1-day park hopper.

Other options for a graduation trip would be a 4 night Dream cruise plus WDW, a 7 night Royal Caribbean cruise on the Oasis or Allure, or WDW or Disneyland sans cruise. And I guess we should decide soon, since I'm guessing prices will skyrocket pretty quickly for these NYC cruises. I'm hoping the prices for the 5/25 will be pretty low since the kids around here will still be in school then.

I would love to but dh says no second cruise until at least 2012 or 2013.

Sigh

Tell your hubby that the Magic is in NYC in 2012 so that qualifies!

I've been waiting for these dates to be available and now I can't decide! I don't have a request in for tomorrow and I'm scared at how quickly they may increase...maybe a 5 night to Canada with the DH in September for our anniversary? I don't know if I could go on a Disney cruise and not go to CC (or someplace warm). I wasn't expecting the Canada route...

ACK!! PRESSURE!! :scared1:

I agree, I need CC!

Putting all this new cruise planning aside for the moment (yay Alaska 2012!)... I had a question/suggestion for the Fish Exchange. Would it be possible to make one of the groups adult travelers only? I don't know if we will have enough adult-only parties to make it work, but I just wanted to throw that idea out there. :)

I would be happy to see how many adult travelers that we have and if the others would want to have jut their own group!!

I am kinda in the middle myself, as my kids will be 15 and 18 at the time, so while Alexa isn't an adult, she isn't a little kid either.

I should have said no cruise PLANNING until 2012 or 2013. For that matter, no WDW planning either. Dh gets planned out whenever "we" plan our big Disney trips...the we is in quotes because I do all the planning, he just gets tired of me explaining the options and asking his opinion. Maybe next time I'll just have him help pick when and where and I'll make all the rest of the decisions and surprise him! :-)

I am gently working on him to rebook onboard this August. We'll see how that goes!
