Avoiding that potential 75-day lack of availability thing is a major plus ... I just hope that we don't find out in the next few days that the ABD has been cancelled due to lack of interest! (90 days out is May 18th) I meant to ask how full the ABD was when I made my final payment last week, but I forgot. I wonder if (hope that) our two parties of three is enough to make it happen?!

I don't even want to think about that!

I've just sent DCL an email asking them how full the ABD is for our cruise.

No, you only have to let me know if you're coming to the August 15th pre-cruise meet (if you know)--it's open season on the cruise meet, unless you're on the FE exchange and I don't have a stateroom--in that case, you must come. Otherwise, come if you'd like!

The only reason I want to know in advance for the pre-cruise meet (if possible) is to get us all seated at the same table. Otherwise, come anyway and we'll see if we can't work something out

I totally understand where you are coming from. I was second guessing our decision to do the Adventures by Disney Add-On because it is pricey (the add-on was more than our total cabin fare), but after studying all the excursion options when they came out, I think we made the right choice. ABD is offering pretty much everything we really wanted to do and it's someone's else's job to figure out the logistics of it. (I can't tell you how much I'm liking that last part ... which is strange for me, because I am a planner by nature.)

Would you be willing do a little review of your ABD experience? I have been coveting a full blown ABD trip for awhile.

We are planning on booking Whale watching, salmon bake, and Mendenhall Glacier, & Takshanuk Mountain 4x4. We are also considering the Misty Fjord trip or the Best of K at Ketchican, but right now I am leaning toward just exploring town on our own.

For those of you traveling to Seattle first, there is a great deal on Kayaking at a place called Orcas Island (It is BEAUTIFUL!!! My daughter went to 6th grade camp there, and I was SOOOOOO jealous!) It's a ways outside of town (you'd need to rent a car and take a ferry), but it might well be worth it:

Just got back from vacation and I can't believe how busy the boards have been! I've been catching up on all the latest news.

We are staying at the Marriott Vancouver Pinnacle on Sun and Mon night before the cruise - love those Marriott points

We plan on doing the meet on board at Diversions but we are still not sure about the night before yet. We haven't made any specific plans for Vancouver at this point so we aren't sure where we will be on Monday. I will definitely let you know in advance if we decide to join in.

We got our GTY room assignment and I'm a little concerned. Right now we are booked in room #6062 which is right outside the midship elevators

I'm planning on booking some excursions this week thru private tour companies. I'll let you know how that goes.
