August 16, 2011 – 7 Night Alaska Sailing

Hi everyone,

I just switched from the Transatlantic Cruise to this one, as I cannot take 2-1/2 weeks off of work at one time.

It is just myself(for now), and I am looking forward to this. Looking forward to meeting all of you.

Is this the same Scot that was on the Caribbean eastern in Dec 2009? How's the new job going?

It sure is. I am doing great! The new job is going pretty good.

How are you? I hope everything is going well for you and your family! I hope to see you on board!

Hi all!

We are booked for Alaska too! It will be DH and myself, along with my parents, brother and SIL, and possibly MIL and nephew. It will be our 2nd DC and the first for everyone else. We talked them all into doing Disney instead of another cruise line, and we hope not to be disappointed.

:goodvibes

Hey Everyone!!!!
My name is Kaitlin and I live in Toronto, Canada :D
This will be my third DC and I can't wait :) I am 18 now and will be turning 19 at the end of the cruise :P My mom Jackie, my dad Larry, and my 14 year old sister Megan will be coming along too

any other teens going?

Kaitlin :cool1:

We are booked on this cruise, too! This will be our first cruise and we're so excited! We're booked in a 5A on deck 7.

We got the DCL DVD yesterday, and now my DS (age 9 at the time of the cruise) can't wait to spend some time in the Lab.

Welcome MercoBear, EastYorkDisneyFan, supernatural2222 and kgsmith!

We sail in less than a year! Whoo Hoo! :cool1:

Hi Kaitlin!

We are also in your area, just outside of Toronto and 20 minutes from the airport and my daughter Kimberley will be 14 at cruise time so they might be able to connect!!!
We are leaving on the Aug 26 for a DCL B2B!!!! DId you see the 25% off for Canadians who want to cruise the Carribean in Feb/March (don't know the exact dates)?!?!?!

Just off the wonder 3 hours ago. Booked this one on-board. It will be myself, DH & DD. DD will be 13 when we sail. It will be 3rd DCL for me & DD, 2nd for DH.

Now to change my signatures....

Hello Dumbofan...we rebooked this cruise on the ship as well! I also saw as I was scrolling thru that Emilyann415 who was part or our FE is on this cruise too!

On this cruise will be myself, DH, DD 15 and DS 12! We are hoping that many of the wonderful cruise staff that that we had on our 5 Day 8/17/10 Key West Wonder cruise will be back from vacation and on the Wonder!

We are very excited to be going to Alaska!

Glad to hear it. I'm still unemployed but hopefully will be employed by the time we are on the Alaska cruise! We are cruising again in December but doing the Western this time and bringing my inlaws. If by some miracle I get a job before then it will have to be with the understanding that I need two weeks off for WDW and a cruise!

Look forward to seeing you again next year.

11 months and we will be heading north:cool1::thumbsup2:goodvibes

Oh my, I hadn't even realized this! I remember trying to book this cruise the day it was released back in Fall 2009. I think I was on hold for about 2hours ... while trying to get my work done too. It seemed so far away then ... and to think we're well under a year now! :)

Has anybody else looked @ the link for the excursions yet? Found it last week & my DD has already started planning what she wants to do!!

What link are you talking about? I have not been on DCL for awhile...do they have excursions posted?

Thanks for the link ... we knew from friends who sailed Alaska on other lines that the excursions would be pricey ... definitely a case of ony doing the ones that really intererest you.

I'm also glad to be on one of the later cruises since we'll benefit from the trip reports and opinions of those on the earliest ones before we can even book excursions.
