August 15-24 trippers UNITE!

I called and had them apply the new discount in place of the pin I had previously used and ended up saving another $50. And instead of waiting for them to refund my money I had them add the Water Parks & More feature to my tickets, which I was going to do on arrival day anyway. So, I ended up with a balance due and paid it right over the phone at the time.
One less thing to do when I get there :cheer2:

what is the odds now that there will be some sort of free dining expansion for us going 8/15 to 8/24? maybe around june? i hope :worship:

I am holding out hope this will happen by the first week in June, because it is wierd they cut off that one week this year. I have gone 3 out of the last 4 years during the last 2 weeks of Aug. and received FD.

There is always a chance, but I would not depend on it.

However, I am still holding out hope! but I am also getting my ducks in a row to stay off site in case this does not happen.

C'mon Disney I want to stay on site, make it affordable to us that can only afford Disney during FD/Hurricane season!

This is value season for a reason, hot, humid, thunderstorms, possible hurricanes...I can deal with it all... since it is the only time Disney is affordable/doable for our family.

No free dining, off to cancel my dining reservations!

We decided to stay with what we had (AAA), since the new % discount would have required checking in a day later.

I have to cancel all our dining reservations too. I'm just hoping we see some type of package discount for August 17th.

You do know that there is a room discount out right now on the Disney site, right?

% is just not the kind of discount that works for many, who can only afford Disney only through FD. 150 bucks compared to a couple of thousand is a big difference. Feeding a family of 5, is just to expensive.

One thing I have learned this year is that I will not book my flights until I have free dining and who knows I may fall in love with staying off site, many others have.:upsidedow
