I'm coming late to this cruise and was very surprised to not see a thread started. So I'm starting my own. I hope we aren't the only DIS people on board for this cruise!

Maybe I am the only Dis'er going on the 8/13/10 cruise.

We are here. Not sure where here is though. We are sailing with you. It will be myself and two daughters sailing this week.

We are very excited about this cruise!!

Yeah! I'm glad to see somebody else will be on board. I hope we get a few more and we can do a fish extender exchange (if you want.) It'll be me, DH, and my 2 girls - 11 and 4. But they have no clue. We won't tell them until we get there and they guess. I just hope I can keep it a secret.

I just did a "secret gift cruise". It was so hard not slipping. Good luck with that!

Why didn't they give us our own thread yet?

This is the only thread that I know of, so it's the "official" one. Just no one else has joined in. :confused3

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :thumbsup2

Hi!

I've got a crowd of 8 going, 4 adults ages 40 to 80 and 4 children ages 7 to 11. My DD is 11, also. :)

Welcome! Are you having a family gathering? Sounds like fun!

My Mother (80) takes me, my sister and children (now grand children and one great grandchild) on a yearly trip. We have done WDW before but this will be the first cruise for her and we sail on my 50th (OMG!) Birthday. :)

We're all excited and I have been perusing the boards for all the tips I can get to make this trip enjoyable since the age range is from 7-80. It should be interesting to say the least.

It is definitely a great way to spend your 50th! You will never forget it!

Welcome! That sounds like a great way to spend a big birthday.

The DIS has lots of good tips and tricks for cruising. This will be our 5th Disney cruise, so I'll be happy to answer any questions. Though we don't do many excursions because my youngest was too young before and now I'd rather just hang on the ship.

Totally excited. My youngest is making her confirmation this week and the three of us decided we are going to start discussing what we are going to do on the cruise.

My oldest wants to check out the Spa. I have not yet paid for the cruise in it's entirety, so I won't be able to book anything as of yet. My daughter told me she definitely would love to eat at Palo. This is a good thing because I was definitely planning on it. lol

Palo's is amazing. We are definitely going to book dinner there. I'm just hoping my friends join us on the cruise so my oldest DD has a friend to hang out with. Otherwise, she gets shy at the kids club and fights being left. I'm not sure how the youngest will be this time. Last cruise, she liked the kids club, then hated it, then liked it again (after we forced her back so we could go to the spa.)

I hope your friends can join you also, or I hope at least your children will enjoy the club this time so you can enjoy yourselves. I believe they allow the children to go back and forth in between the age groups now at the clubs. Maybe they will hang out together and have a better time.

After all our cruises this will be the first time I am taking my daughter to Palo, so it will be a pretty exciting dinner for us.

O.k. my daughter is begging me to make reservations at Palo as well as reservations at the Spa as soon as possible. I am going to have to try and figure out what night would be the best for us to go and then

I just have to pay this cruise in full. I am probably going to pay this one off within the next 24 hrs, so I can book.

Anyone else pay it off in full and book anything yet?

Dawn

We paid in full, since we used DVC points. But we can't book anything until May 15th.

My youngest decided she wants to have a go at making a FE. This should be very interesting! I have never done a FE before.
