Well I guess most of us are on the way or just about to head toward the door. We will see you all on board.

Just found out that on a trip in September we are going to get to see the Lion King show. We saw it once with the kids in SF. I am attending Fashion Week show in New York. I won a trip via a eyeglasses company contest. So we not only get to attend a fashion runway show, get a tour of New York, but we also get to see the Lion King in the Amsterdam theater.

Does anyone know of any good restaurants in New York City. We have about one week there to explore the neighborhood. I am especally interested in more local style hidden gem restaurants.

wow! how exciting, winning something!! i've never won anything "major"...oh no, i once won a pair of concert tix to depeche mode! that was major!!! and it was so long ago...

unfortunately, don't know any good eats in ny. maybe others might. we saw lion king when it was here at the pantages. left DS w/my parents...he was not even a year yet, i think. and we only had one at the time...would love to brind DSs to watch it, since they love lion king, and they know all the songs by heart!

did you decide what you're doing friday night? you mentioned you were going to be in the long beach area...

how exciting!!! You will have such a great time!!! We saw LK in SF as well...thought Orpheum did a great job or was it the Golden Gate? hummmm well either way thought it was a great job with the size of the stage they have to work with....

My boss has been to NY often, i will see what we recommends....enjoy your drive down tomorrow - drive safe! See you Saturday on board!

Just finished, finally finished, can't believe I finally finished!

Now, I need to pack!

Spent all my time organizing cute outfits for the kids for all the photo opportunities - not so much for myself!

Got all our "goodie bag" stuff organized - how am I going to carry all this stuff? Between my door decor and goodie bags - I will need a harem of attendants just to get on board.

As my kids put it, only two more "sleeps" at home!

I just received the glow in the dark necklaces. They
came in a cardboard poster tube. I have to keep them in
the tube so they don't bend. Their easy to bend so please be
careful and secure them in a safe place. DS pulled one out the
tube and bent it, so of course he wore it last night.

So if you see anyone with a white poster tube that will be me.

I have 45 to give away. Alohatee please let me know how I should
split them up for each of our DIS members.

Looks like we have enouph for each DIS member and the kids. Or split
them up whichever way you like. I think it will be cool to have each
DIS member to wear one so that we can identify them.

Can't wait to meet you all.

Janae - save your tube once you've passed out those necklaces - you may want to take home the "Pirates" menus in it - if you save that stuff....i'm bringing a tube so i can take mine home - as they will go into our scrapbook....looking forward to our big "MEET" FINALLY tomorrow afternoon!!!!

YEAH - that's all done - can you believe i was still 'shopping' last night!!!??? have our clothes & cameras etc. all packed - just need to do the shoes tonite and the rest will be done tomorrow a.m. YEAH!! 24 hours from now....i'll be doing that so we're out the door by 7:30!! Told DH by 7 - so he'll be ready to take us no later than 7;30!!!

YIPPEEE!!! FINALLLLLLYYYYYY!!!!

Susy - whatever you don't get done - you can do tonite after returning from DL - you most likely won't really be able to sleep anyway!!! I know i won't!!!! I was awake this a.m. at 2!!! ready to get going an hour early so i could get this day on it's way!!!!

Hello to everyone that is still at home and able to DIS.

Its been a week since I've been on the boards. I guess I needed this week from (you know where) to get me really excited about this trip. I was so excited that I tossed and turned all night; finally waking up at 5:30. I can imagine my sleep deprived smiles when we all .

I have missed sooo much. We need 25 items now! I guess I'll go back to the party store to see what I can find. I have so much to do like cleaning the house (maybe) not to mention packing that kitchen sink at the last minute.

Hey Court - I am still here (still at work - uggghhhh) oh well - it's probably making the day go faster!!!! I"M HOPING SO!!!! i will not sleep well tonite at all!!!! This is - or rather tomorrow is - perhaps the most exciting day i've had in a really LONG time!!!! See you on board - i'll be online most of the day and then again tomorrow a.m. to at least 'check in' and print boarding passes etc.!!!!! and then we'll be on our way to airport!!!

it's only 70 min flight - so we get to lax at 10:40 (leaving 9:30)...Gilroy is north of Salinas on the 101 (south of San Francisco 2 hours)....drive time from Gilroy to Anaheim (in the middle of the night with little traffic - taking hwy 5 is only about 4.5 - 5.5 hours - 320+/- miles). YOu'll have to come up some July for the Gilroy Garlic Festival!!!

Brenda...we passed by your town (not really passed by, but saw it on the way back from sf...stopped by monterey!) and i heard they have garlic festivals! DH loves garlic! and we were talking about making a trip one of these days to check it out!! you have to tell me all about it! was that the festival you recently volunteered at? or was it strawberry?

Susy...don't think there was an "official" meet, but we were meeting at 10 w/Janae...obviously, it's too late. and i didn't even make it there! well, have fun, when you go! and like Brenda said, if it doesn't get done, there's always tonight! although i'm planning on going to sleep early. not sure how that would be, since i'm just so excited & a bit nervous at the same time!!!

Yes you will definitely need to come up for the garlic fest some year!!! It's fun with a lot to do (and eat!!)....and drink!! I volunteered at the Strawberry fest - the garlic fest i missed this year - it was the wkend i was in LA for funeral. It's always the last full wkend in July....starts Friday a.m. and ends Sunday afternoon

but that's really okay - it just means most of our group has gone and left us for FUN at DL or somewhere close to port!!!!

Look for a huge group of 18, with so many little kids (7!), that you will think - who would bring so many little tiny kids on a cruise!
