I refuse to think about it any more until we get back!

We leave on Saturday and DS starts complaining of a sore throat last night.

He doesn't seem that sick so I'm hoping it's just allergy/sinus related. No temperature. He also has a field trip at school tomorrow. I did one trip when he got sick the night before and it was horrible. I gave him sudafed, echinacea, vitamin C and zinc and a good hand scrub and antibacterial lotion.

Plus it's supposed to rain Saturday so I'm hoping there are no flight delays or cancellations. (That happened once - our flight was cancelled and we had to take the train from Newark to Philadelphia, fly the next morning into Melbourne and drive to Orlando - it took about 24 hours).

I NEED THIS VACATION!

oh, gosh! i hope it is a minor sinus/allergy thing, and he'll get over it! and for the weather...hope it won't pour! and your plane cancelled/delayed!

OK - he feels better after school. I'll just keep pumping zicam and decongestants into him. 2 more sleeps and then off to WDW!!!!!

How sick is this - Car is picking us up at 11:30 and I just had to check the boards before I leave . I'll have to get caught up next week with what I've missed. See you all then (and then I can make my final cruise payment!!!)

JayCee32: Hope you found your way back to August 13 thread. My niece is 9 (3rd grade). She and I are die-hard Disney fans. We want to go horseback riding with Randi. Hope Randi still has room for us. I see you live in Cerritos, we live in Carson. Look forward to meeting you on the cruise.

Finally we found someone around the same age as our daughter
my dd is 8. She will love to meet your neice. She's been asking who is she going to play with on the cruise and I would tell her she's going to meet new friends. Maybe we can meet before the cruise and let them have a play date since you live really close to us. That will make there cruise more fun Maybe we can go to Golf n Stuff (Norwalk) or Mulligans (Torrance). We'll PM each other with our information.

Have you made reservations with randi ? if not, do that today. She will respond to your email fast. Do you have her website information?
Are you going on any other excursions?

Hi JayCee: sounds like a plan. Month of May might be a little tight - she has a spelling bee competition in LB and hula/tahitian performance in Santa Fe Springs for Aloha Week. She has been practicing real hard. Maybe you can join us at Aloha Week on May 14 & 15 - not sure yet what day she is performing but the festival is awesome.

My dn (disney niece) and I will be going to the sneak preview on May 4 for Disneyland 50th celebration. Won 2 tickets. We are so excited.

I got an email confirmation from Randi - she reserved 2 gentle horses for us beginners. Don't know if we would have time to do anything else on that day - want to tour with Mazatlan Frank.

Still deciding what to do in Cabo and PV - maybe country tour and/or horseback riding again.

I'm back. Trip down was great. WDW was great. Trip home was the absolute pits.
We got stranded in Atlanta and instead of getting home Sat. evening we didn't get home until Sunday evening. Air Tran said that they couldn't get us on another flight home until Tuesday evening. We ended up getting a flight to Baltimore and then rented a car and drove the rest of the way home after spending Saturday night in a hotel.

I think I need another vacation to recouperate from this one. Only 3 months and 1 week to go!

Glad to see you starwood! I dont always check the cruise meet board everytime Im on the cruise board but I was thinking of you this morning. Wasnt sure when you would be back so I figured Id check. Thats great you had a wonderful trip, but I wish coming home could have been a little less of an "adventure" for you. Yikes!

It wont be long now...and Im sure this trip will be all smooth sailing for us.

CamColt: We did have FUN - thank you. My best friend (also a Disney fan) and I were in awe of the preparation for the 05-05-05 celebration. We thought we (2500 AP plus guests=5000) and media were going to be the only ones....... noooo - we found out that about 10,000 more tickets were given out to hotels, corporations and schools. We did a lot of shopping and leisurely went around the park to see the collages (awesome) and everything that was painted gold...... we were only allowed to be there from 8am to 5pm and some of the grand openings of attractions were limited to media and selected guests. Then the park was closed for a private party - music, food, fireworks, etc.....But, it was an amazing day that 50 years ago a man named Walt started this craze. We thank you Walt!!!!!
