I don't know Gary. You're talking downloading to a computer:confused: you are way too advanced for me!

Packing Checklist

Fish Extender
Zip tie (to prevent someone from stealing your fish extender)
Fish Extender Gifts (don't forget to put the stateroom numbers on your gifts so you don't have to bring a list with you!)
Magnets for doors
Pirate gear
Hanging shoe organizer to keep clutter down to a minimum in the stateroom

Swim cover-up
Bathing suits
Sunscreen
Water shoes/flip flops (heard the new decks on the dream are a lot hotter than the Magic and Wonder decks)

Insect repellant - insects seem to love the taste of me!
Passport and cruise docs!

hat
sunglasses
camera
family
video camera
travel lysol (good one!)

Gary -I print my pictures on cardstock paper and just apply magnets in the corners to make sure it lays flat. Some people print them directly on magnet paper, but it is expensize to print and sometimes smears (my past experience, even with the staples magnet paper, which is supposed to be the best out there). I think it depends on your printer...and patience!

Here are some links for magnets for your door:

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2172891&highlight=door+magnets
(Love this one! You put these around your stateroom number. We did this on our last cruise and we received many compliments!)

(Other peoples doors to give you some ideas)

A lot can be found on the creative disigns forum.

pittsburghgirl -LOL! No need to copy and paste!! We own the flip video and a regular video and I think we are bringing our regular video. Longer tapes and it does not get choppy like our flip. Easier to edit, ect. We actually were just watching our last Disney Magic Cruise with our girls and we both mentioned that we thought the picture quality was pretty good on our Sony!

To add to the packing list:

- Swimmies/rafts from dollar store (way cheaper than renting/buying at Disney ;) )
- Benadryl
- Sea Sickness meds
- Bubble Gum & ear plugs for the airplane
- Cell phone/video game chargers

I'll think of some more....

I forgot who asked about what people were wearing for Pirate night, but the kids are wearing pirate t-shirts and khaki shorts, pirate bandanas...maybe and eyepatch....that's it. We also have Jack Sparrow hats and will bring them too - we will see what they feel like wearing. The adults will wear a little something. Maybe a bandana and some pirate jewels....

On our first cruise we all were decked out in full pirate costumes because we were under the impression that the vast majority would be too... WRONG! Hardly anyone was wearing pirate stuff and we felt way out of place. We sat at dinner and looked around - there was maybe one or two others and that was it... so strange... the kids were not happy at all. They are not the types that like to stand out. :sad2: At least this way they will have pirate things on but will blend in.

OMG Lani I am so glad you told us this. My son and nephew are exactly the same. They would be mortified if they were dressed up and no one was or vice versa.

We will definitely go with some understated pirate garb!!

You are welcome!!! I read up on it before we went and thought that I was prepared...but I guess not. Maybe some cruises are different and maybe that one was a dud. There were some people decked out on the March cruise that Nick and I were on, but they were the minority. All I know is the boys said to me, "Mom, you are NOT going to make us dress up in full pirate costumes THIS time are you???" UH, no.... :rotfl2: (not if I want them to talk to me!!! :rolleyes1)

Did I read somewhere that the Dream has IPOD chargers in the room? I will try to research this.

Because I am from Pittsburgh, (and a baseball fan) I will be wearing a Pittsburgh Pirates t-shirt for Pirate night!! pirate:As of this morning we are in 1st place.:cheer2:

I think there is an IPOD charger in the alarm clock but it doesn't fit all sizes...I don't remember 100% though. We always bring all of our chargers with us when we travel just in case... If you can find out anything more definite, that would be great!

I also just ordered the magnetic paper from Amazon to make the door magnetics.... that seemed to be the best price I could find. It was better than buying it in the store. I feel like I am behind! I should have had these finished already!!! :dance3:

Janet is actually making Robin a wench outfit, I am guessing Jennifer (my costume designer) will pull something together if she has time. Stacey doesn't seem interested. Janet & I have pirate bandana's from our Pirate & Pals cruise from last year. I have an old costume to try on, or we will print something on t-shirts......hoping to have fun!! pirate:

We have the following groups to help with making/purchasing your FE gifts:

Children under 7 -5 girls

Children 7-12 -6 girls; 6 boys

Teens -6 girls; 4 boys

Adults- 13 Women and 12 Men

Total Cabins- 16

It might be a little late for this but I get a different total for adults.

I have counted twice. 16 Woman & 10 Men

Everything else seems correct...... not sure if it matters a bunch for what we are making for adults, but I thought I would mention it.....just in case?

We don't tend to get dressed up for pirate night. Luke, our DS, will wear an understated pirate t- shirt over his shorts and he might be persuaded to wear a bandana - we definitely enter into the party spirit though! pirate:
Last year we saw some amazing costumes that some families wore - very professional - they looked like extras from Pirates of the Caribbean!

Oh I thought the Phillies were in 1st place?:rotfl:

I apologize. Philly is in 1st in their division. Pirates are not because the Brewers are 1/2 game ahead! I'm just so excited the Pirates no longer have the worst record in baseball history, I jumped the gun!!!pirate:

Being from Pennsylvania, I am also proud of the Pirates......but being from Phila.......GO PHILLIES! :woohoo:

Awesome idea about the pirates shirt. I need to get one, but everything out here is for the Reds.
