Went to cruisecompete.com yesterday and got a quote for a 5 night on the dream for next aug. Balcony and the best quote was giving 425.00 OBC. So if I rebook on the ship, cara, are you saying I can have that OBC AND the OBC offered by Disney? If so, that's huge!

I'm not 100% sure how cruise compete works. Is it different TA's "fighting" to get your business? If so, I would just make sure that the travel agency offering that particular credit doesn't have some stipulation stating that you have to book directly through the website to get the credit. Otherwise, I believe, that you should be able to book onboard and state "I'd like to name xyz agency as my travel agent." At that point the reservation will transfer to the agency giving you Disney's credit as well as the agency's (as long as they don't have any stipulations).

Busy, busy week. So glad it's over! Work was crazy and I had to take Ian to Cal yesterday for orientation, registration and placement testing. It's so annoying when they gather all of the parents in a room and show them a power point presentation about donating to the school. Hello? We're paying how much for him to attend and you want us to donate? Please.

If I don't get my FE and FE gifts together this weekend I'm going to be in trouble! I am seriously running out of time and that's kind of a good thing!

Cara, Ray uses the patch behind his ear for seasickness. With this only being a 4 night, he'll really only need to use one. The only downfall, the rx is about 40.00. Melina will use Dramamine. Thank goodness Trevor and I don't have that problem. Last night we made all the envelopes for tipping for Mousekeeping at the resort and for the boat. Starting to seem real

I'm starting to feel very behind on all my FE stuff. My neighbor is helping me sew the actual FE since I have absolutely no sewing skills (my grandmother is rolling over in her grave right now, I just know it!). I bought all the supplies MONTHS ago but haven't visited her to sew it yet. When were outside the other night talking about the May '12 trip, I told her I'd be over on Monday to work on it with her.

As for the gifts I'm pretty far behind too. I, again, bought all the supplies for the ones I'm making over a month ago.... still haven't started putting those ones together yet.... There's a box with all of the supplies sitting on the floor in my room just taunting me daily. Hopefully I'll work well under pressure! My neighbors oldest daughter is helping me with those ones (too much to do alone and she's super crafty) and she's currently in Romania for a missions trip she goes on every year. I should probably check on her ETA back to the states. LOL. Luckily everything else is store-bought and I only have one "demographic" left to buy for.

Rae, I'm actually kind of worried about picking up my prescriptions tomorrow.... lol. Seems like the very few meds I actually need to be on are the ones my insurance doesn't cover. Go figure.

I'm getting excited for our meeting at Mama K's "Tiki Hut" pool bar on Thursday. Our agenda? Frothy vacation-like adult beverages and finally hammering out the details for all 13 of us. Half the fun is in the planning so in my book it'll be a mini-vacation in itself!

This is our second time using Dreams Unlimited and we have liked them. The OBC is nice and they are pretty easy to work with. Some people perfer to speak with their agent, but we don't mind emails and that is why this agency works well for us.

DH and were discussing rebooking on the cruise. This is our third Disney cruise and we have yet to take advantage of this dicount. I wanted to last time, but DH did not want to. I think we might book a cheap dummy date and then move it to 2013 as we try to cruise every two years. We will see.

I finished DD 2 tutu and I am going to try to order our pirate hats and we should be done with pirate night. My last FE gift is arriving today from the UPS and I will be done with our FE gifts and I will get that packed away. Magnets are complete and packing cubes are ready to be stuffed with our clothes. Wish the cruise was here sooner!!

Not sure what happend with the Disney Dreamer request on facebook. I did request, but have not received an invitation. I am Chylynn Bastian over there if you want to friend me prior to the cruise.

We love dreams also!!! This is our 4th or 5th time using them! We have no problems getting an email reply from!

Hey Chylynn, just finished putting together all the FE gifts and packing them. I believe there are 7 girls and 5 boys in the age group 7-12 year olds. You had down 6 and 6. If I am wrong, please someone tell me. Just wanted to give a heads up incase it messes up some of the gifts. Sssooooooooo glad that job is done. Rae

I think the FE gifts for age group 7-12 is actually correct. I looked through it again and counted and I got 6 boys and 6 girls.

I think the confusion is coming from my cabin Levisfam. We have DS(11), DN(10) and DD(6). (DN is nephew not niece). We were the only group that didn't list our names - probably because I never submitted them LOL

Thanks... you just reminded me too! Since we are going to Sea World and Aquatica this vacation and not to the Disney Parks, it doesn't seem like a Disney vacation (no uber planning for me )...(but we are staying at POR so I still need to get my Mousekeeping envelopes ready!!!!)

I agree, the thread is too quiet. Everyone must have more important things to do than talk about our super vacation. Only 22 1/4 days I just read up on the pirate night. They are starting things at 8 instead of 10. Thank Goodness. What is everyone wearing for pirate night? I don't want to bring costumes since most of my suitcase has FE gifts in them ( which I need to fix now cause Jamey is a goober). I need to watch all 3 of the pitates in the carribean's movies. I have all 3 but have never seen them I know, I'm a dork. I'm guessing they will have # 4 on the boat.

Yay! I finished our FE gifts today - just need to work out how we are going to find room in the cases for them!

Need to put the finishing touches to our FE now.

We went to see the new Harry Potter film yesterday - all I can say is they've saved the best until last - it was amazing!

Only have 4 more days left in work - lots to get done in that time but can't wait to finish. We leave for London next Tuesday and fly out on July 27th. Getting really excited now.

I usually wear a black shirt with nice jeans and a pirate hat. Simple. The girls will be wearing dark pink pirate shirts with the pink and black tutus I made and I am not sure what hubby will wear. He can dress himself!

I think it is great they have two shows, one more for little kids and then one for older ones and then the fireworks. My little one was tramautized after the 4th of July fireworks and she is just now getting over the fireworks. Hopefully, she won't hear them in our stateroom!!

FE Being stolen -On the main forum, people have reported them being stolen. If your FE is personalized with your names, your FE will probably be fine. I did not zip tie it last time, but people do recommend it, so I might do it this time. Just bring scissors or nail clippers to cut it off at the end of the cruise so you don't have to hunt down your stateroom attendant!

Please don't ask me to cut and paste. I don't know how to do that because I'm a moron.Anyway, Lysol spray in the travel size is a must for us! We spray the s- - t out of our room as soon as we walk in. Beds, couch, bathroom and handles. Got sick once on the magic and I vow that will not happen again. We also use the thing that has all the pockets to hang on the back of the bathroom door to hold all the toiletries for all 5 of us. Zip ties was a good idea. Haven't decided if I should buy one of those flip video cameras?!? I know if I don't buy it, I'll regret it. Anyone else bringing a video camera?

I figured out the fish extender and I see why to bring a zip tie. I thought the FE got hung on the door......I saw pictures and now the term fish extender makes so much more sense
