I thought I read somewhere that we had to pay for these? Or a donation was asked?

What dining time do you all have? I ask because DH and I currently have first seating but I am still thinking about switching to second seating. I'd really like to watch (from the deck) as we sail out of NYC and I'm afraid we'll be cutting it too close with early seating. How does second seating work? Is the show first, followed by dinner? What time is dinner?

Thank you, mmouse37 (MJ). Do you always carryon your luggage? I was thinking about checking it, since it will be just my daughter and me and I thought it would be easier. Just bringing a swimsuit and suntan lotion in my large purse in case our bags don't make it until later. Mistake?

No you dont pay for the lanyards you just provide your names and cabin number so they can be customized for you.
The deadline to add your name to the list has been extended until August 7th so that you can add your names

i was going to bring my luggage with me... DCL said cabin's should be ready by 1:30. i'm just bringing 1 bag for the 3 of us. will be bigger then a carry on.. i will also bring a smaller bag with our bathing suitsand lotion (just in case).. anyone else do this or just check bags?????

This'll be the first cruise I really won't have any luggage...hubby packs so light we can probably get away with one carry on between the two of us.

oh wow. i wish i could do that.. i'm planning on just packing all 3 of our stuff in 1 med. size luggage. with all of our shoes as well.. lol i know ,i know it's only 2 days.. but we will be changing for dinner. and pirate night as well..
and i'm hopeing to get a mile or so in on the treadmill if kids are doing thier stuff!

yuck.....the weather doesn't look too good! We were on the 2 nighter in June and the weather was sunny, but a bit cooler than I would've liked. But that beats rain! Sure hope we head down south FAST! Leaving the port is amazing, I hope the weather holds out to be able to be on deck for the sights of Manhattan from the ship!

Here is hoping that the ship can get south and east fast enough that we have good weather for at least part of the cruise... I'm also tired of weather forecasters being wrong 78% of the time, especially about summer weather and how much rain and when it will fall, so I have my fingers/toes and Mickey ears crossed that we have great weather this weekend!!
