August 10, 2013 Eastern Caribbean cruise on the Fantasy

Hi, I'm Joan from Chicago and we will be joining you!!!

We were originally booked June 1st but found out the kids would not quite be out of school. Wasn't a big deal to take them out a little early BUT my DD said she could not miss her 8th grade Graduation! Had to pay a little more but I'm sure it will be worth it.

We are DM (Joan) DD (Pat) DD (13) and DS (11).

We are in for the FS. We have done it on our last two cruises and LOVED IT!

Hi, this will be our 3rd Disney Cruise. We have done the Western Cruise and went on the Dream last June. Can't wait to experience the Eastern cruise.

Has anyone heard good things about the Eastern Cruise and it's excursions?

Hi Joan, I had read on the DCL boards here that the Eastern Caribbean was the favorite. I saw nice pictures of St. Thomas on the DCL photos thread. I haven't read much about the excursions. How did you like the Western cruise?

Well, had to change my cruise date yet again!

It seems my husband didn't like the date. Sorry guys, I was looking for a thread to call home. LOL!

Have a great time on this cruise.

We did enjoy the Western cruise especially Grand Caymen, that was the highlight for us. Not so crazy about Cozumel but it may have been the excursion we did which was Dune Buggy. Too much wind and sand in my eyes! We loved Key West even though our kids did not, they were bored.

Looking forward to the Eastern cruise, I too read a lot of good things from the board.

It will be DD & I again. Her friend may come along with her mom. Won't know that for a couple of months yet.

This will be our 5th DCL cruise. We have one this month on the 9th & 8/25 out of NYC.

I'm soooo excited to be cruising with Karin & Tom again! (they're my DCL heroes!)

We may combine this cruise with a week at WDW before the cruise. Haven't decided yet but most likely we will. Tatiyana (DD) has recently told me she wants to go back but we can't this year.

During the summer we will be on the late August double dip and then a 4 night back to back. Just nine nights this time instead of 11 last time, but I guess we will live.
We will be at WDW before and after the cruise too and then jump over to the west coast for a bit of California and Disneyland fun in 2013 too!

Karin enjoy your Dream cruise on Sunday! If you get a chance find Barbara from Jamaica or Prince from India onboard. They are both fabulous bartenders! Barbara is usually at Bon Voyage during the day, District Lounge up until about 11PM then Evolution. Prince is usually in Skyline and at Conked Out Bar on CC day. Ask for his "special". It very yummy and I think you will love it!

I am truly sorry, but I was sure I had answered your post before we left on our cruise. Looks like I didn't!!!!
Our February cruise was wonderful ....... again ....... and it helped with some decisions. We have now upgraded all our future cruises to family staterooms with veranda! We loved the space and round tub.
AND we changed our 2013 vacation - yes this one! and added the Western Caribbean as a back to back! So we get to stay on the ship for 2 whole weeks. We are still in "a good kind" of shock over it!

We have just booked this cruise for our second Disney Cruise!!! We loved our Dream Cruise last July and cannot wait to get onboard the Fantasy! DH, DS (9) and I would love to take part in an FE again.

I am so happy to hear that you are going to join us for this cruise. We just got off the Dream this February and cannot wait to go back in the summer, but we are eagerly awaiting the time to cruise on the Disney Fantasy as well!

They were individual bottles of white zinfandel. I left one for every adult in the stateroom as part of my FE gift. They had a label with the ship and sail date.


I put 48 bottles in my carry on lol
