If you book through disney, and then codes are released, just call disney and tell them you want the better deal - we did that last year when they announced the free dining plan and they were really good about it

I am COMPLETELY lost!! We are considering a late Sept/early Oct trip this year. I am considering purchasing 1 AP to get the discounts, but am a new member of AAA. Am I understanding correctly that the "watch" is to see if any AP discounts come out in June or July? If they do, am I also understanding that you can either use AAA or AP, but not both? (That would seem the only way.) Lat question - we've never been in a "hot" month. From Georgia, but really would rather be there when it isn't miserably hot. Is it so less crowded in Sept that it's worth it? We'd rather be hot and plan for breaks, than it be crowded. Any thoughts?

We went at the very end of Sept. to 1st week of October. It was miserably hot! But I booked the same time for 2006 because it was a lot of fun! We are considering now going the first 2 weeks in Jan. 07.

My understanding is that the "watch" is to see if Disney puts out a discount like last year's free dining. I think it came out around May or June to entice more visitors for the September/October time.

We are hoping to go in September. I'm a little worried about the heat, but it will be nice to not have the crowds.

So you have to have an AP to qualify for any discount that comes out? I'm confused. I thought the free dining that everyone is talking about from last year was just a promo that Disney put out for anyone. I'm assuming AP stands for Annual Pass?

We do not have an AP. We're just hoping to hear about some sort of discount that is available to anyone.

I wasn't aware that this forum was an "AP" only one. All it says is "Codes and Rates". Where does it say, "Codes and Rates for AP ONLY"?

You're welcome to watch any post you want. Someone started watching when they had the BRP for rates for the Early Spring and it moved on progressively to Aug/Sept

If that is the case I think the thread should say "AP Aug/Sept code watch" otherwise you will get people posting who don't have AP's. JMHO I actually had visions of High School when I read this is an AP watch thread.

If you read the thread FROM the BEGINNING you will see it started as a watch for when the BRP (AP) would extend to July or August or September etc.
Now they have changed it I will be watching the passholder site instead!

I too was unaware this was an AP only watch. I do plan on buying an AP for my May trip and using it again in August and October. I would welcome news on any August discount.
