Hello everyone-

I had another question so why not post it here. My husband and I were thinking that maybe we would take an adult only trip and have my DS 4 stay with his father. We have taken him down the last two years. But I don't know if I will be able to do it. Then I thought of possibly taking my brother and sister with us. Its kinda a long story but my husband and I are like there second parents. We are very close. So if I do that I would have to switch from the last two weeks in September to the last two weeks in August. Soooo... How are the crowds those last two weeks? and would it be stupid to camp?

Crowds drop down after about the first week of August due to the back-to-school crowd going, well, back to school. So I think crowds would be similar.

Chances of daily rain are still there in August, less so in late September. September is also a little cooler but it's still Florida.

Go ahead and enjoy being there with family in August. Just be prepared for rain and warm temps. But it'll be a good visit still. People camp (I assume you mean tent camp?) all year round at the Fort. Bring a fan to circulate air in the tent at night and you should be ok.

Thanks. I dont know what we are going to do I am having such a hard time even contemplating going with out my son, But my husband and I do need to either go alone or maybe take my brother and sister. I guess we will wait and see.

We have been with our children and without them. I wouldn't trade either experience. Go and enjoy yourself.

Im thinking if we can afford to pull it off maybe we will go for five days in August and then maybe go a week in September with my son.

Nutt'n stupid bout camping anytime of the year as far as I'm concerned . When I was in the scouts as a young man we camp'd in the dead of winter in the snow and the worst heat of summer, but you'll probably enjoy camping at the Fort more, :thumbsup2
