Well today we break into the single digits until we leave on 8/2, guess I had better getting some stuff together. Also wanted to wish everyone a safe trip to Florida and to the ship. Today at lunch will be a trip to WalMart to get film for our underwater camera. I will use the digital a lot, but will only take the 35mm water camera to the beach, that way I can take it into the water with me. Hope we have great weather and maybe I will run into some of you, doubt I will make the meet. We have early dinning and have requested PLA rotation. Still no docs.

What is the difference what rotation you are on??? Sorry, first timers have so many questions.
SSSSSSSSSoooooooooooo excited about this trip. :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :cool1:

We've had LAP rotation on our last 5 cruises. I think that is because we were just 2 adults. They give the families w/ kids the more entertaining places to triple up on. Now that the times are staggered too, it might make a difference. But we just take whatever we get. We like to be surprised, so it's no big deal for us.

We went to the Akron Zoo today, and it really got me excited for Disney World. We saw 2 license plate brackets w/ Disney and Ava went crazy. She is totally addicted to Mickey now. It's crazy.

Later

I don't mind any dinner rotation as long as I get to eat the good food. :goodvibes We were on the Wonder and had TAAP with a 12 yo. So, I am wondering if we will have the same rotation. I didn't make Palo on the first 3 nights so I won't miss the Animator's Palate show like I did last time. Anyway, we love to eat out and try good food, so it's all good to us. As long as we can try it all. :goodvibes

Documents arrived today. :thumbsup2 :cheer2: :cheer2: :Pinkbounc  :yay:
DD is helping me write this and boy is she getting excited. I came home from work had to take my husbands truck and DD washed my car. What a good surprise. :woohoo: It hasn't been washed this year, and it looks brand new. I know she will clean her room for me tomorrow when I am at work. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: See you later bye Sue  :wave2:

Congrats on the docs Sue!!!   :Pinkbounc

Ahhh yes, Aerial comes home today from being gone for a week. I went through her room last night looking for stuff for the cruise. I know she's going to clean her room tomorrow too. :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

They hopefully remailed our docs today.

I really don't care if I get that rotation or not, the most important I requested is 6:15 spot at early dining, gives you more time to get ready for dinner after sail away and on port days. I like that rotation because you are in Luminiers (sp) on formal night and Pirate Cay for Pirates night and also gives you the character breakfast on Thursday. But anything will do as long as I don't have to cook or clean up!

Yes ,
there are thunderstorms this time of the year .That is normal to have them everyday this time of the year. But at our house ,no rain, we really need it.
Most people like the storms in the afternoon because it cools it off some, they usually are over in 30 minutes or less. Bring some plastic rain ponchos to wear if you want or buy them at disney, I think they are $8 each. We always plan when the rain starts to eat somewhere or most parks have something indoor to do. Epcot the Living seas or universe of energy are great to do during the rain. They take some time to do.
If you plan ahead you can still have fun and avoid the rain. also if it looks like the rain may be here longer, go to downtown disney to shop and take in a movie or disney quest.
It is a warm rain and unless it is lightning or a downpour we just keep going and enjoy ourselves. Good thing, most tourists think it will last all day so they leave the parks, so little or no lines for the rides.

Okay, after listening to you guys and reading some other posts...I've cancelled the dolphin excursion in St. Maarten. I hope I don't regret it. But you can buy A LOT of souveniers and go to the spa a few times for what it was going to cost us.

Not to mention it was going to screw up Pirate night. Everyone said that night was a blast (plus, that night is "FREE" :Pinkbounc ) so we might as well take advantage of it.

The kicker was that my daughter wasn't sounding all too thrilled about the dolphins.

So not only will we make it to dinner...but I ordered her the cutest Pirate costume off the web today. It will barely make it here in time. I PRAY it's not super cheapy looking when I finally see it!

We got 2 new kittens tonight. They're barely 5 weeks old (the mama left them). We took them to the vet today and they got a clean bill of health. What we'll do with them when we're on the cruise...I have no idea!!

Enjoy your night!

Yes I can agree with that. I really would like the later early dining. Last year we had the earliest early dining and it was tough getting there on time.

Awww that's sweet Leslie. We got our baby kitty when she was 4 weeks old. She turned one this month.

If your daughter wasn't sounding too thrilled about the dolphins then you probably did the right thing. :goodvibes

My Ipod connector came in today. We took pictures and put them on my Ipod. The only thing I didn't like is every time you take pictures it downloads all of them on there. But, it puts them in a different file, so we will just delete the old file every time we put a new one on. All in all I like it. :thumbsup2

Won't be long now. :goodvibes

Marcie,

Rob was wondering if you could then transfer your pics from your ipod to your computer. He didn't think you could. Let me know.

How funny with the kitties. We were at a farm the other day and they had a bunch of kitties running around. They said we could have one, but I said, "we're leaving on a cruise in 2 weeks." We already have one cat that we found a week before we left on another vaca. 4 years ago. I had an aerobics teacher that volunteered to watch her and litter train her. She had a cat, so it wasn't a big deal. We're still wondering what to do w/ Millie. We'll probably just leave her home and have b-i-l stop in to feed her every other day. Mom and Dad are watching our dog Beau, but the cat loves to sneak out of the house when she is there. Millie used to be so skittish and anti-social, but now she's really a little lover and I feel bad about leaving her by herself.

Getting more excited by the day.

Tara

Tara, yes I sucessfully transfered pictures right off the ipod to my computer. :thumbsup2 It works great. That was the part I was the most scared of. I have webshots on my computer and that's what opened, and there is a button that says copy pictures to computer. I clicked it and it let me put them in my pictures and it let me create a new folder to put them in. Worked great.

Howdy everyone,
hope everyone is having a good morning today.
The days are flying by. :hourglass
Today I have lots of cleaning and maybe start my packing of our good clothes since i wont need them before the cruise. I have to remember my Mickey hands this time to wave with as we depart the terminal and CC.

Have a great day everyone!! :goodvibes

happy packing to those of you coming early to Florida!!!

kathy

Marcie, do the photos maintain their resolution when you transfer them to your computer? I want to get the pics printed when we get back and I'm afraid that moving them back in forth might result in fuzzy prints. Shane went and bought another memory card last night, but I haven't opened it.

The kitties are the CUTEST. They are smaller than gerbils! We got the two runts of the litter. They stayed in the corner of the kitchen for a few hours, but by the evening, they were getting brave and exploring. We gated them off in the kitchen overnight (just in case) with all of their stuff. We had made them a nice bed...but when I came downstairs about 5am this morning, I couldn't find them! Finally they jumped out of one of my daughters play kitchen's plastic cabinets. :rotfl:

Addy named the girl "Serafina" and the boy "Shed". Isn't that hilarious? :lmao: How in the world did she come up with the name "Shed"??

I'm so jealous of you guys that are heading to Disney first!!!

Enjoy your Tuesday!

Leslie

When I get home tonight I will check on the resolution of the pics I transferred. How many pics do all of you normally take? Last year we took about 800. It's fun with a digital camera because I can take pictures of anything I want and if they don't come out too good then just delete. :thumbsup2 We bought 6 disposable water cameras for our excursions too.

One day closer!!!!

good morning to all of you! :sunny: We have late seating this time around which is ok with us due to no child this time. I am kind of excited about late dinner so I can spend more time in port and not feel as rushed as I did at the 5:30 seating last time.

The ipod sounds like it is going to work out well. Don't you just love those things?

Well I am getting closer to packing. I just need to go pick up the dress at the alterations place.

I can't wait to meet you all. Is there any special way I will know that it is the DIS group and not some other group? :confused3

Talk to you later-

I bought a green tank top to wear specially for embarkation day and the cruise meet!!

I was looking at the times the busses go from the resort to port and ours looks like it doesn't leave until 12:45 :confused3 So, hopefully I will not be late for the cruise meet. I'm thinking we may eat a big late breakfast and just skip the lunch on board. We'll see how it all works out.

I hope we make the meet too...but we might not. We don't get into Orlando until 11:30. Here's the most recent pic of us I have (in case we miss it and you see us onboard). My hair is shoulder-length now and a bit darker. Shane never changes! And Addy looks older every single day!

PrestonsWedding_1.jpg

I only bought 2 water cameras. I guess I should get more! Marcie, I can't believe you take 800 pictures. WOW! Course, who knows, I could get onboard and start snapping away! We got a new digital camera for the trip and its 7Megapixel resolution. I'm definitely going to need to trim that down if I want to take a lot of pictures!

Leslie

I was just going to say that...800 pictures!!! 6 underwater cameras. I was contemplating even getting one. I don't think we'll be snorkeling this time around. We brought friends snorkeling equipment once and did it in St. Maarten and CC and it was beautiful, but haven't done it since. I'm sure we'll also take more pics now w/ Ava.

KATHY... how could you possibly have lots of cleaning to do??? You would probably die if you saw my house. Although, it is inspiring to hear what you do. I have no set cleaning schedule, which is bad. W/ a 2 yr. old, I guess it seems like I'm always cleaning something, but it never looks like it!

Marcie, I'm glad to hear about the ipod being able to transfer the pics. back. How long did it take to get?

Tara

We got 2 day shipping and ordered it Friday night. It was here Monday. Yea I take a lot of pictures. My memory card is 1 gig and I didn't fill it up last time, so I'm hoping to just use the IPOD as a back up and then deleting the pics off the IPOD when I get home, I can transfer the pics on my computer from my camera. Unless I get really camera happy and then I may fill the memory card. :rotfl: As for as the water cameras, we are doing 3 water excursions, 12 metre regatta, captain nauticas in st. john & fishing on CC. So, we bought two cameras for each excursion, one for me and one for DH. Last time we used 2 cameras at the stingray excursion at CC so I'm sure we will use them. :rotfl2: Did I say I LOVE pictures. I'm sure I will buy a bunch on board too. My favorite thing is taking scenery shots that make good backgrounds on my computer. Too bad I don't know a whole lot about camera's though. I just like to point and shoot.
