Aug 27th 1st full day - wanted to do

AK, with our two boys 4 and 6 but the unoffical guide now says to avoid that park, Crowd level is a 6 but AK is hosting the early magic hours. should i go anyway since its not that busy time of year, or should i do MGM. I want my boys to have a great 1st day without doing MK on the 1st day. I've heard they'll be disappointed in every other park if we do MK on the 1st day.

I would probably go anyway but make sure to be there at park opening. I would have studied a map beforehand and outlined a few 'must-dos' for before the crowds get bad. At AK there are a lot of trails and things to 'explore' that dont really have traditional lines. Just save those for the early afternoon when it is crazy busy.

Do you have hoppers? You could always hop over to Epcot or somewhere in the midafternoon when it got busy?
