Aug 27 - Sept. 4 2006 MGM?

OK i know i'm planning way in advance, but i'm excited for our family trip to Disney - we have two boys who will be 4 and 6. I'm not sure if i'm going at a real busy time - i hope not. I figure lots of schools have already started - though the weekend is labor day so i'm sure that will bring in crowds. anyway i'm planning MGM for the Wednesday i'm there and wanted to eat at the Sci-fi but i also want good seats for the Fantasmic show. should i do the dnr pkg or just get to the show real early? Can i go into the show early and just hold the seats for my husband and kids while they do a bathroom trip etc.??

any advice from you experts would be greatly appreciated?

If you are willing to get there at least an hour in advance and if you are the type that can hold seats and not be shy about it, you can do it without the package. Believe me, people will steal the seats if no one is in them, especially if you get good ones. That week will probably not be too crowded except the long weekend.
