This is great for a first try & good for you to "customize" the pattern by putting the pockets where they SHOULD go, rather than the way the pattern people put them.

So cool that you got to introduce a couple - and how romantic it was at your wedding! Which looked lovely in the pictures. DH's best friend from High School married my childhood Bestie, and we introduced them. Not as romantic, just dinner.

The M Inc bag is AWESOME!!! I love Roz and poor Sully, squarshed into Mike's tiny auto!! Perfect!!!

I love both the bags. My daughter was walking by when I was looking at V's bag. She started laughing at Sully and Mike. She really likes it. I haven't done much sewing lately. I've been working a lot and photo lab has really been bad. The machines keep breaking and it's never the same problem.

Wow! You've been a busy lady! So glad you got so much done yesterday, but careful you don't overdo. I know when life comes at you, it's hard to put it aside and get sleep. (hope things on that front are better) It happens to me too, so I know how it is. But please try to get some rest today. In the grand scheme of things, if everything doesn't get done, life will go on. I know you know this, but I just can't help putting on my "Mom" hat. Ok, 'nuff said!

Thanks Lois... I am trying not to over do - I just feel like there is still so much to be done... I know if everything doesn't get done - it won't be the end of the world, but hopefully I can make it happen.

I'm amazed you still find time to come on here every day and reply to every post. Girl, you just flat out amaze me!! And your pictures just warm my heart. I never get tired of seeing them.

Hahaha... I do it in the morning with my coffee... I enjoy sitting here just waking up and reading what all my friends have to say.

And before I go get busy myself, I just had to share the killing I made at JoAnn's yesterday. I had to return some fabric b/c when I went to cut it out, there were a few black streaks imbedded into the weave of the fabric. So, I did this on Saturday and the woman at the counter was saying how crazy it was going to be the next day (Sunday) b/c they had 70% off coupons for all their notions. I told her I would be no where near there. Then I got to thinking and asked if the stabilizer would be considered a notion and she said yes. Soooo, I was there at 10:00 when they opened and bought $130 worth of notions for $44! And while I was there, I took advantage of their flannel being 70% off as well. I got around $75 worth of flannel for $20! I want to make some pillow cases for the GKTW pillow tree. I thought of you when I realized my savings. It feels really great to score that big! Sorry for the long story, just had to share.

That is an AWESOME deal!!! I rarely get to my JoAnn's anymore, and if I go during a sale - theya re always wiped out of what I need. I hope you are able to make a bunch of GKTW pillow cases - such a fun project!

It was a geen apple pattern, first time I ever tried one of there's. The pattern was very easy but the tissue paper tore really easy, was very thin.

Of course I made a few ajustments I put 2 pockets instead of one and the second I made my own pattern for because I wanted it smaller. And according to the pattern the pocket under the flap went against the back but I wanted it under the flap instead..... I like it, and yes its for WDW

That is just awesome! And way to go tailoring it to your own needs... That's exactly how my UPB came about.

I loved those capris too - but they are not coming along on this trip - they weigh about 30lbs, and I will melt in them. LOL

Haha... Yah - we didn't know it at the time that they had hit it off so well... But we were very happy for them when we found out a few months later.

Thank you! I can't even remember what the fabric is called - I ordered it months ago, and I've managed to use every last scrap of it... I was barely able to sneak out enough for a wallet (if I have the time to make one...)

Yesterday was another day holed up in my sewing room... I shouldn't have done it, but I am just feeling the crunch, and if there is any possible way I can get ahead... Well, I need to try.

As you saw - I finished V's bag - what a relief! Now both girls have new bags for our trip.

Afterwards, I went straight into my first park bag... I was able to draw, piece and start stitching the applique... I really hope to stitch the whole thing today, and if the Gods smile down on me - totally finish the bag too. As I've said previously - this whole bag is done - once I finish the applique - all I have to do it put it together.

Then I can move on to my second bag! WHich would be sooo INCREDIBLE if I could have it done before the end of the weekend. That would put me soooo far ahead, that I may not know what to do with myself for that last week. LOL

I did go to Target yesterday morning while V was at her appt. And I picked up a few more things for the trip... A couple of travel toothbrush holders - I don't know if I am the only one, but it kind of eeks me out to reuse toothbrush holders... I also purchased some Scotch Guard for our bags, and big ziploc bags to pack our socks/undies in... I did that last time, and it was a God-send... They were so easy to find in our luggage.

Oh yes, and I did a load of whites with all of our new socks for the trip in them.

Still waiting on our park tickets to arrive... A little nervous about it, but they are not expected until the 7th... So, I am just trying not to think about it.

I'm a few days behind but I have to say that I love the Mickey messenger bag. I can't believe you quilted that whole bag. Wow!! I love Mickey. Such a perfect Disney bag.

Victoria's bag is awesome. I love Sully all packed in there And Roz, is the perfect touch. My mom was making fun of me because I was laughing so loud in Monster's University. The outline of the letters really makes it pop, I'm glad you did not re-do the fabric piece but I assume that took a VERY long time. It looks great.

Yeah for getting so much accomplished lately. You do really need a bag to carry around when you are not at Disney (make sure it is filled with business cards)

Love the flashback and the wedding pictures. How fun that your friends got married (and Lois's too)

On your advice I bought some more pins for our upcoming trip. I'm going to keep them out of sight until our trip and just pull the out as needed. Of course I know Casey will want to keep all the "cute ones".

Whew, I'm finally caught up! I had a wonderful trip to visit Mom but then ended up coming back to a piled up desk at work. I kept trying to catch up but ended up 25 pages behind! I kind of cheated and just read the daily updates, skipping over most of the comments.

I can't believe your trip is so close! I'm getting excited for you guys.

I think you made at least 5 or 6 bags while I was gone. Of course I loved the Mickey and Pluto one. And both of the girls bags are beautiful.

So funny story for you. I always send pictures of your bags to my Mom. She's not on Facebook much and would never be able to figure out the DIS so I e-mail them to her so she can see. She is strange in her love for Disney, she loves WDW but rarely sees Disney movies so she doesn't always know the characters. When I sent her pictures of the Ursula bag, she e-mailed me back and asked me why you made a bag with Phyllis Diller on it.

I'm hoping to finalize my October trip this week as free dining rumors are flying around right now. If FD is offered, I will be able to upgrade us from POP to POR!

YES! Roz is our fave MI character, and was my favorite part of the bag! Our whole family loves to randomly quote the "I'm watching you, Wazowski" line and were so excited they threw her in the MU movie!!!!
