Yes, I definitely remember the Goofy themed dress and skirt you made for V to wear on your trip. I thought they were awesome. I love that Goofy liked them so much that he didn't want to let her leave. The dress is the Oliver + S Ice Cream dress. I recently got that pattern and made a cupcake themed dress with it. It is a cute little pattern and was very easy to put together. I hope that the Goofy dress and skirt will still fit V on your next trip. The way these girls keep growing, you never know what will fit them and what what will be way to small even though it fit yesterday.
I am thinking of doing the Goofy themed dress with that new pattern I got with the pinafore. I have two other dresses already cut out though so it will wait until those are finished.
Yup - it's the O & S Icecream dress... That is a wonderful pattern - however - I had to upsize it at least 3-4 sizes to fit V... It would have been easier if she was smaller.
I love O and S patterns - I think they are a great intermediate step from Carla C's... They really bring people back to the basics of their sewing skills and concentrate on the simple details - which I love.
I think a Goofy dress from your new pattern would be absolutely ADORABLE!!!! I wish I could get V into a pinafore.
Your new Pluto bag is great. I can't believe how many cute ideas you have for your bags. I agree with everybody that you need to do some of the villians or some of the princesses. I can't wait to see what you come up with next.
OK - I will think about it. Maybe for some of my upcoming auctions?
It sounds like you had a wonderful weekend. Lots of shopping and some fun time with friends. I haven't been to Kohls in ages. My girls have some gift cards that we should probably use up so maybe I'll take them there one day this week.
We don't go there often anymore either. Especially since we can get way better quality stuff at Hollister cheaper.
I'd love to go and see MOA some day just because of its size. It must be lots of fun. One of my friends stopped there with her family during their summer vacation. They went to the amusement park inside the mall. She has 5 children and she lost her youngest daughter while they were there. It took them 45 minutes to find her. It was terribly scary and she didn't receive any help from the mall security. It was the wonderful people who were there shopping that banded together to search for her 3 year old daughter. They found her 1/2 way across the mall with a nice grandma type lady who realized that she was lost and was trying to figure out what to do with her.
That is awful! Did they contact the police? The MOA has an entire police force for just the MOA - it's actually considered it's own "city" - not technically - but their police force is an actual police force and not just security.
I am glad they were able to find her.
The Pluto bag is great!
It's good that you know when to take a break and get out of the house instead of chaining yourself to your sewing machine(s)! It's important for your mental health!!
The Lady and the Tramp bag is awesome! Love the fabrics. I love Lady and the Tramp! I had a Lady and the Tramp skirt when I was a little girl and still remember it! (that was a loooong time ago!) Wish I had that fabric now. It was red with L & T all around the bottom as a large border.
I already prayed for Alli this morning that she and her fellow classmates are able to move forward and concentrate on learning and just being regular teens. I know you'll update us when she gets home and will be thinking of her today. And you.
ETA: Just noticed the detail of Scamp's teeth...amazing!!!
THanks Lois...

Yah - it's nice to get out sometimes... I get to go for a hair cut today.
That's so sweet about your LatT skirt... Do you have pictures of it?
I will do an Alli update at the bottom.
Glad I could make your day!
I love the Lady and the Tramp bag (of course). There hasn't been a bag that you have made that I haven't liked!
I'm excited to see the villian bag! Both my DH and aunt are all about the villains. When we went to Universal at the beginning of this year, DH got a shirt that says "You say villian like it's a bad thing." He loves that shirt!
Hope your auctions go well this week.
LOL - Thanks!

I love your DH's shirt.
Wow, Tramp just comes right out at you. The appliques are so beautiful and thanks to Lois for pointing out the fangs on Scamp. I will NOT be showing this to Casey as she loves Lady & the Tramp.
The lining fabric is so cute but I LOVE the striped you used around the bag.
Thanks Liz! Yah - I love that stripe too... It really changes the look of that bag.
Oh....Tramp is soooooooooooooooooo cute.
Thanks Kathy!
D that Lady and the Tramp bag is GORGEOUS!
So glad Alli is able to go back to school will say a prayer for her today and those around her.
Can't wait to see the Villains bag!
Thanks Callie. I will do an Alli update at the bottom.
D, I missed the post about Ali going back to school today. I am keeping good thoughts and keeping her in my prayers that it is a smooth and good day for her and all of her classmates.
Thank you Kathy. I plan to do an Alli update at the bottom.
I love the Lady and the Tramp bag! The fabrics are just perfect! Your appliques amaze me!
Thanks!
Wow! Just caught up from Minnie on.
All the UPB sets are awesome! Especially the Goofy!
Lady and the Tramp messenger is beautiful.
I am very much looking forward to the Villains custom.
V's packing for the park sounds like she will have no problem at college or anywhere else. She's prepared for everything!
Hope Alli had a good day back at school and that healing has started in the community.
I've worked in 'retail' (movie theaters & the attraction I'm at now) Theaters were always open on Thanksgiving, but it was a fairly low turn out. The day after was always funny - to me anyway. Families would come see a movie after spending two whole days together and shopping in the morning and you could tell...they were not wanting to spend anymore quality time. to the point of seperate movies, sometimes!
I thought of you and MM this weekend. DH and I picked up our friends' 6 month old puppy from boarding on Saturday, and he totally exhausted me and we only had him for about an hour. I'm so glad our T is a laid back lazy-boy.
Thank you. I will do an Alli update at the bottom.
LOL about V's packing. And I loved your movie theatre experience... I can totally visualize it.
Yah MM is starting to settle a little bit, but he is definately a still a puppy.
ooooooooooooooooo..............Lady & the Tramp is sooooooooooo CUTE!!
I hope Alli's first day back went smoothly!
Thanks Lynn. I will do an Alli update at the bottom.
Love all the new bags! So hard to pick a favorite...but I'll go with Minnie. Hope your auctions go well. And hope Alli's day at school was back to normal.
By the way, I am sure there are women who would want a princess bag. I would consider it for sure, but my first love is Mickey. If ever I could get two bags, one would definitely be a princess bag.
Thanks! I will consider doing a few princess bags for my auctions next year...
Hope Allie had a good first day back today.
Can I just say I'm sooooo excitied that he Lady and the Tramp bag is MINE ALL MINE!!!! Just love everything about it!! I'll be sure to post pics of me with it once I get it and of it's first trip to
Disneyland for New Year's!! Maybe I should get it it's own 1st visit pin?
Thanks Sandra! I can't wait to see pictures of it's first trip... and yes, I think it needs it's own "1st trip" pin.
D~
Love the Lady and Tramp set ! Brrrrrrrr cold here this am 21 degrees!
Thanks Sheila... Stay warm!

Alli went back to school yesterday. She said it was fairly normal, which is good and exactly what we wanted to hear.
Despite contacting all of her teachers, there were several who didn't give her all of her work - so even after working so hard to catch up, she is behind. I am a little upset about this, because she did work very hard.
This experience also makes me very nervous for our trip next year... If this is how much home work that she had for last week - I am very fearful of what 3 days is going to be.
It is seriously making me reconsider my trip dates... And I know that sounds awful - but WOW... Alli worked non-stop on homework all week - at least 6+ hours per day to stay caught up... There is no way we will be able to do that kind of work before and after our trip next year - and I am so afraid it will be setting them up for failure. I know we have all these fabulous Dismeets planned... Maybe we can do 2 trips??? LOL Just go down for 4 days over school break in Oct - but do our big trip during the summer?
---------------------> I have some exciting milestone news about my business... As of yesterday, I am officially an LLC!

I am super happy about this... It wasn't that hard to do, at all - I assumed it would be.
I wish I could complain here about our local politics, but I can't, so I won't... but let's just say that I want to - and I have valid reason to.

Thankfully it will all be over today, and whatever happens, happens.
I probably won't be spending much time in my sewing room at all today... I have to run to town to get cash... Then I am headed out to get my hair cut - I really need it colored (can we say that teenagers create gray hair?) - but I am trying to hold out until before Christmas to get highlights/lowlights done again - because (as you all know), I am a tightwad.

Once I am done with my hair, I have to go to town again to get Alli - she has 3 labs and a test that she needs to make up. Then, once Josh comes home from work - we will vote.
I am quite sure I had more to ramble about today.

But I can't remember what it is. I hope you all have a fantastic day!
