I had a crazy day in my sewing room yesterday - I got so much accomplished! I finished the balloon bag and wallet - which was great! Then I took a short mid-afternoon break. And back into my sewing room for the rest of the day. I've managed to cut out my next bag and get a good portion of the quilting done. I will admit - I am doing a different pattern of quilting on the front, and it was super quick and easy - so that's part of the reason I was able to get so far. I hope to get started on my applique today - if I can do that, I won't have any anxiety about leaving for the lake tomorrow, since I will still have a few days to finish when I get home.

Victoria and MM spent a good portion of yesterday organizing my fabric stash... That was so very sweet of her - I keep meaning to do that, but I can never just find the time. I'd really love to take a day soon, and work on some projects for my sewing room - ahem, my corkboard that I keep wanting to put up to display all my cards... And the picture that Beth gave me in Charlotte... And get some shelves to display all of my thread cones... Ok - maybe 2 days...

We got a notice yesterday, something went wrong with the well at the water tower... The Dept. of Health was here, and they notified residents that we need to boil our water until, at least, Thursday. Grrr... Thankfully we are leaving for the lake tomorrow - but it's still annoying.

I have to run to town this morning to get groceries for the lake. Thankfully, my MIL and Josh talked yesterday - so we know what we don't need to bring.

And then, I got something wonderful in the mail yesterday. I have made so many great friends here on the Dis, and I am just so thankful for each and every one of them! Suzi sent me a message last week - saying she picked up a little something for me on her recent trip to WDW... Then, yesterday a little box showed up... I was confused for a minute until I remembered our conversation... So I opened it to find the most amazing card - it was just so very nice! I can't wait to hang it on my corkboard some day! And then she picked out a Pick-a-pearl for me! I couldn't believe it! And she had it put in my favorite setting of all time!! It is just fantastic, and I cannot wait to wear it!

And I just had to take a picture of the box - because I love that too!

So, thank you so much Suzi! That was such a wonderful surprise!

I wanted to go yesterday but we were having company so I spent loads of the day cooking and cleaning (amazing the things kids can do to a play room!) so the kids get the nice surprise of accompanying me today. They are NOT going to be happy.

Okay...I am in LOVE with the balloon bag! I am seriously thinking of getting a new one for next May...I know...I would need to order now...I need to make a certain ressie first...

I like MM and V helping out...especially the way MM helps...

So...I see a black fabric on the middle shelf on the right hand side...is that a Stitch fabric??? That is what it looks like to me...but then I need new glasses!

LOL Lynn... I am always the most flattered when someone who has one (or more) of my bags, likes them enough to want another. To me, that is the ultimate compliment.

And yes - that is Stitch fabric.

D I am finally all caught up. This summer has been crazy!! After Disney V and I had two weeks off and then nearly 2 weeks of camping.... Which leaves the question, where on earth did the summer go????

I am still waiting for my photopass pics, then I need to organize pics before I can start my TR. Hopefully next week!

Thanks! I agree - just where did summer go? Although - I admit, I just love the change of seasons, especially summer to fall. However - I DETEST winter... OK - let me rephrase... I love winter and snow until New Years, after that, it must leave!

Thanks - I love my Donald PPP (I got so many comments on it) - however, I do have to say - I agree with Suzi, it was hot to carry in the summer down south, so if someone ordered a PPP for a summer trip, I would have to warn them that they are hot to carry.

You're welcome You are such an inspiration to so many and do so much to make everyone else happy....I thought it suited you. I wanted to do the pick-a-pearl, but I knew I wouldn't wear it....so we thought and thought about who we could get it for. Then I looked down at my Squishy bag and knew how hard you had worked to get it done in time for my trip when it wasn't scheduled until later. I;m glad you like it! And the Mickey box came from my necklace and earring set I bought in Feb. I just couldn't throw them away....way too cute. I just had it sitting on my bureau collecting dust and when I needed a box to put yours in, it jumped up and said "me me, ooh pick me". You get the necklace box and I kept the earring box to put my jewlery in when I go to WDW.

Awww... Suzi... I do love it so much!!! LOL about the box - yah - I won't be able to throw it away either. Thank you again for thinking of me!

V makes me wish I had a teenager to organize my stash too.

And MM is such a gorgeous dog and I think you're very brave to let him in the sewing room. My T would leave more hair than he came in with.

Your bags always inspire me: I've got one perking in my brain that I need to seriously work on in the next week or so, if I want it for my trip. It won't be anywhere near as pretty as yours, but that's more because I'm a pretty utilitarian girl and don't need a lot of pretty colors on my bags.

Oh - believe me - I dunno what got into V... I didn't ask her to organize my fabric at all, she just started doing it. It was so very nice of her!

As for MM and my sewing room - well, that's an ongoing battle. If he comes in and lays down like a good boy - then I don't have any problems with him being in there (that's how Ruf was), but he likes to find things to eat from my garbage - which isn't good. And yes, I do get a bit of hair - I am just very meticulous about lint brushing everything before I package it up.

Hmmm... I am curious to see the bag you have brewing... I love to see what others make!

Thank you Michelle! We will try to have a good time... My MIL will have guests at the lake house this week, and since it has vaulted ceilings and not much of anything on the walls - it's very echo-y... So, when the girls fight - it's not fun. Hopefully we won't wear out our welcome too soon.

Yes, you will have to try a spool... It is seriously cheap ($2.25 for 1000 meters) and they charge actual shipping... I just ordered another 10 spools to finish off my colors, and shipping was just a hair over $5. In hindsight, I should have had them ship my purchases home last week - it would have been much easier than me trying to carry all that thread through the airport.

You all know how often I have to "run to JoAnn's" because I am out of a color - well, as long as I plan ahead - this will be so much easier, and cheaper than gas too. I am trying to streamline all of my business purchases - because there are things I buy all the time, that I really should have on hand, and it would save me so much time (and $$) just to order online. Should have thought of that a long time ago!

Hmmm... I wonder which fabric it is that you are getting? LOL about the kids - mine are getting better about it... especially since I know my local stores pretty well and I can just run in and out with out wandering too much.

I have been trying to iron out my schedule for next year... It is quite crazy! Dh was grumbling the other day that I was even contimplating bringing my machine to the lake this week... I had to remind him that I have been booked this far out since the end of March... If he wanted me to go to the lake - he should have had me block off this week much sooner than a month ago. So, I asked him - if there is ANY time next year that he can forsee me needing to take time off... I was given a list. LOL It is so much easier for me to add people if I find that we aren't going anywhere, than it is for me to try and play catch up. So, I have several weeks blocked off for next summer.

As I stated earlier - I have also been trying to streamline some of my ordering, and time management. Most often, I have to run to town for zippers and thread... Now that I have all this fabulous LCM thread - I should be able to make almost anything work. I also plan to make a large order of zippers, in various colors... I am hoping to avoid these impromtu trips to the fabric store (which takes me 3 hours round trip) for miniscule items.

I love the balloon bag. It is so cute! It sounds like you are really getting very organized with your planning. I can't believe that you can plan for a year ahead of time. I'm a huge planner but I don't think I could do that. It is very smart of you to order the thread and the zippers ahead of time. That way you can avoid those extra trips. I find that those trips into Joanns to buy one small thing always end up costing me quite a bit of money.

I didn't know that the thread was half off this week. I'll need to stop in there now. I was putting of going until Friday because they have the clearance fabrics on sale for 50% off starting on Friday. I have seen some things on the clearance bolts that I really like.

I love the balloon bag and especially the Mickey hand (great idea Josh, are you having to give him a design fee). The fabric above the pocket is perfect.

V did a great job organizing your fabric. I'm sure if you asked her to do it she would not be so inclined. I'm the same way, sometimes I just feel like doing a small organizing or cleaning project, but I NEVER feel like cleaning my bathroom. When she needs some more fabric to organize please send her over to my house. I have two medium rubbermaids to organize but I have to do it when my DH is not around so he doesn't see all my fabrics.

Suzi - that was so nice of you to send that Pick - a - Pearl necklace. The "cage" is beautiful.

So... In looking at my handy-dandy countdown app, I noticed that if the girls and I are even going to.attempt this spring break trip, we need to make our ADRs in 5 says.

Which means either:

A: I need to book the trip.

B: I need to get up every morning to make our reservations.
