o.k., I have cruised the same time 2000 and 2001. This should be the week for our docs. First one who sees the Fed-Ex guy please reply. I had trouble getting excited for this cruise after all that happened this year. But thanks to a lot of great replys to my post I got a better feeling about our trip, I know one I have the docs in my hand I will feel even better!

We'll be calling our TA - can't wait to have those
documents in hand. When the time gets closer,
we must all set a time to meet. (I believe we
are both going to be staying at that "other park"
at the same time - Aug. 12/13 - we are then
moving over to CSR).

Markey, how has the weather been your last two cruises toward the end of August? Did you make Castaway Cay both times?

The last cruise I took was on Premier, and we disembarked at Port Canaveral the day before Hurricane Andrew hit! We had had a beautiful beach day just the day before, although I did notice it was getting rather windy that night. Actually, this is why I'm really not concerned about hurricanes - just rain. The officers were very busy tracking the weather, but I'm sure they could have steered us very easily out of harm's way if necessary. The cruise following us was cancelled, however, and the ship moved to to another safe port.

August 2000 4 day Wonder - Got to CC, had high seas back to Port, they were going to take eyeryone off of CC after we left because a hurricane was coming. We had beautiful weather the whole time. We could see storms in the distance, but the captain kept us away from them.

August 2001 7 day Magic - A storm set in around lunch while we were in St. Thomas, the crew were using ropes to tie down everything that could move on the decks when we left. We had high seas again, but the captain went around the storm to keep us out of danger. We arrived late at CC and got off the boat around lunch, stayed an hour longer and had the childrens program in the morning, also free drinks while docking.

So we have made it to CC each trip, the end August is a stormy month, but do not worry, the Captain will do everything he can to keep everybody happy and safe! This is our 3rd August cruise, and it is a great way to end the summer!
