You guys, this month is going to crawl by! I am sooooooooooooooo excited... it's all I can think about, most days! I sit at work making lists and daydreaming. :cloud9:

Anyone else all giddy?!?!

Oh!

And is anyone else staying in a local hotel the night before? We're just about a 3-hr drive away from the port, but are driving down on Saturday and staying the night at the Doubletree. Want to board the ship as soon as possible.

What are you guys doing?!

We are definitely getting very excited here! My kids ask me every day "when are we going on the cruise?" I think I'll have them make a paper chain this weekend to do the count down. I'm busy preparing for Girl Scout day camp next week, but then I'll have to figure out my FE exchange gifts.

Happy 4th of July everyone!

We cannot wait either. Here's to another 40 Years of Magic!

The excitement is truly building. In one short month, we will be enjoying our first evening on the Magic. We finally got our stateroom so I was able to order the stateroom gifts and finalize the tuxedo orders today.

The gift bags were also a hit, which made me happy. :goodvibes

My family and I just got home from Disneyland. The fireworks always leave me a bit in awe. The new Toy Story ride at DCA is wonderful, and we waited less than 45 minutes. The crowds were surprisingly somewhat light for the day before a holiday weekend. Clayton also did an outstanding job in POD. He really captured the true spirit of Neverland.

Sylnbry: For the Fish Exchange, our stateroom number is 7028. Again, thanks for putting it together.

BabyFavorite: I too am planning and thinking cruise almost 24/7. This is crunch time and also the best part of the planning process (organizing those last minute details).

HAPPY FOURTH OF JULY!pixiedust:

I checked on-line after reading this thread and found out my room number as well. Moved up from cat. 12 to 10.:cool1:

We're in for FE swap too.:yay:

Congratulations on the upgrade. Anytime now, we will be getting our cruise docs.

The weather is hot in SoCal. It is perfect weather for a Mexican Cruise!

Where is everybody? We need to bump up this thread. How are everybody's preparations? It appears to be smooth sailing thus far.

Hi everyone, Wow~only 4 weeks to go! Gotta work on losing a few more pounds. :) Hope everyone who wants to participate in the FE exchange signs up ASAP. I'll be starting to put my gifts together soon. I'm planning to make something, so can't wait until the last minute. The next 4 weeks are going to fly by. Still need to shop for a few things, like formal outfits for the boys and dressy shoes for DD. Have fun preparing!

We are also getting excited about the cruise. We are thinking of driving up next Sunday to wave goodbye to the Magic as it pulls out to sea. It's only about an hour's drive for us. We could have brunch at the Queen Mary beforehand or something. It would also allow me to scope out where the San Pedro port is (we've only been to the Carnival / Queen Mary area).

We're not doing the Fish extender thing just because it is one more detail I would need to plan for and my plate is too full as it is....but if my son were younger it sounds like a fun idea.

We have no other pre-cruise plans, but after the cruise (after we disembark on August 10) instead of driving home we are going to Anaheim Stadium to see the Yankees play the Angels. This was NOT my idea, but I have a husband and son who are big Yankee fans (we are originally from New York and my husband spent his early years in the Bronx before the family moved to Long Island.) So I got voted down.

amanuensis, I know what you mean about having a lot on your plate. I probably shouldn't do the FE exchange either with all we have going on this month, but I think it will be fun for the kids. I have a habit of taking on too much! We're home this month, except for lots of activities, including Girl Scout camp this week, for which I am DD's unit leader. The Saturday after we return home from the cruise we will be staying on Mission Beach for a week. We've stayed in Oceanside several times as my in-laws have a time share at the Southern California Beach Club. We live in Fullerton and enjoy going to Angel games. But, we're Angel fans not Yankee fans! :) I'm sure you'll have fun at the game. Hopefully you have seats in the shade!

MY DD just got good news today. One of her friends that she met on the Med Cruise last summer will be on our cruise next month. She has been screaming and jumping up and down all day. After a year of a computerized friendship, DD cannot believe that they'll finally meet again. Her family is flying in to LA from Ireland the Friday before. The girls are busy making plans to meet a DL.

I have a family reunion group of 35, ranging in age from 5 months to almost-87 (my grandmother), looking forward to this cruise! I'm the chief organizer and have been trying to keep my head above water planning all this, but I'm really looking forward to it.

We had two cabins in guarantee status because those family members found out late that they could come. I just got their stateroom assignments, and I am a little down because they are just about as far as possible from their families. For one single woman traveling alone, it's no big deal, but it is a big deal for my cousin and her husband and their 4 little kids (youngest is 5 months). They are split up on opposite ends of the ship on different decks. :( We requested that they be as close to each other as possible, but I guess nothing was available. I know that's a risk you take with guarantee, but I have to admit I was hoping for a little better. Oh well.

As for plans, a few of us are doing the DCL regatta sailing excursion in Cabo, a bunch are doing horseback riding with Randi's Happy Horses in Mazatlan, and a bunch are going to Sea Life Park in Puerto Vallarta (a few are doing the Pirate Sail and Snorkel). Another group is thinking of doing the Family Ranch Party in Mazatlan.

It's getting so close! :)

One more thing! IceSk8ersMom, was it you who ordered shirts from cafepress.com? I am thinking of doing the same (another DISer is working on a design for me :) ), and I am wondering if you have any advice or tips about ordering from there. Thanks!

I am a disboard virgin! I just found this site and I am in need of some serious help aka step by step instructions. I am a single mom cruising with my 8 year old daughter and this is our first Disney cruise. She is so excited and I want to make this the best vacation ever for her. I am confused and need help! Door hangers? Shirts? What does everything mean. We are traveling with two other families that I'm sure are as confused as I.....any help out there
