IceSk8ersMom Our eldest DS will be 13x. The "Doc Dance" will be the cruising documents you get in the mail about 1 month before cruise time. It's lost quite a bit of its significance with the "online" registration / check in capabilities, but for us, there is the symbolic representation that cruise time is quickly approaching! I'll let the DW know that other folks from our cruise thread are also doing the dolphin swim.

Thank you. I agree due to the online capabilities the Docs have lost some significance. I guess that is why I did not make the connection. I cannot believe the date is rapidly approaching. The excitement is building in my household.

Hello vossjemi. My DD is 5 and DS will turn 7 in August. Randi mentioned there were some people on our ride from the Magic. I don't know if it is just your group or if there are others. Can't wait...should be fun.

Fellow Cruisers, please send us positive thoughts. My mom, the bride, does not have her beaded top for the ceremony yet. Our fingers are crossed. Yesterday, the toasting glasses and the cake servers arrived. They are beautiful. The final pieces are falling into place.
If you were given a guaranteed category, have you been assigned a stateroom yet? We have not. We are patiently waiting. What about stateroom door magnets? What are your ideas? Since it is my parents' 40th anniversary, we decided to go with a tribute to them.

Hey Everyone! 40 DAYS LEFT UNTIL OUR CRUISE!
I want to hear from all our cruisers on this board...I'm sure you've all gotta be getting excited. (I see 28 families on our cruise list post but not many have been posting on the board lately.) How many of you are coming in from out of town? Is anyone going to DL or CA after/before the cruise? Has anyone done their door magnets?

We haven't planned much. We do have our flights now, which was still up in the air last week. We are flying in a couple days early and trying to decide where to stay.

Other than that, we are also planning a trip to California next week because of a dance thing and dance nationals before we come to California for the cruise. That's mostly why I haven't been around much.

I have a 16 yo (as of Sunday)DD and a 12 yo (almost 13) DS and this will be our third Disney Cruise.

I will check with the kids regarding the FE to see if they want to do it again. I think they enjoyed it last time.

How would the FE exchange work? I know DD6 would love it, but not so sure about the boys. As they get older, it gets harder and harder to find little things that they are interested in. Thanks for taking charge of this!

We are in on the FE as well. DD16 and DS(almost)13. Two separate rooms and separate FEs. DD16 is really fun and loved it last time, the cheekier (is that a word) the better. Last time people worried about including her. She was just as happy as anyone with the gifts. She loves Hello Kitty and Care Bears and loves all things Disney.

Sylnbry: Good News. My mom received her top! It fits perfectly. My mom is going to be even a more gorgeous bride. I cannot wait for my dad to see her walking down the aisle. I'm so glad that my sister and I are able to do this for them.

Has anybody ordered tuxedoes from Formal Cruise Wear? I was just wondering if the sizes are true to the measurements. It's a convenient service to have tuxedoes delivered directly to your stateroom, but no fittings may cause another big inconvenience....No stop; I need to think positive. Right?

I need to check with my family about the FE. I hope the girls are up for it. It sounds like fun, but fun for me usually means no fun for my teenagers.

From the trip reports that I read, it appeared that the weather was warming up. I remember when we did the Mexican Riviera in late July of 05, it was blazing HOT! I am somewhat disappointed that Brent will not be our cruise director. I have nothing against Christian. I just adore Brent's accent.

Hi dleyel, I think I sent a link to the FE thread that shows what they look like but here is a little more detail: I will post a list of all the people who have signed up for the exchange and list their room numbers. (We should be getting our cabin numbers any day now with our cruise docs.) You bring a little gift for each cabin (or person) who is participating and then leave it in their fish extender. In return, each cabin/person on the list will leave something in your fish extender. The gifts don't have to be expensive. They could be a toy, candy, or souvenir from the city/region you are from, or anything else you can think of. Let me know if you'd like to join the exchange.

How excited are we! Our cruise is almost one month away. I finished the gift bags for the wedding party yesterday. They turned out so cute. We will be distributing the gift bags and going to Disneyland to see the fireworks on July 3rd. What a great way to mark the start of the one month countdown!

Yesterday, I also went to Downtown Disney. We saw a few former passengers wearing their debarkation stickers, which made us realize that the Magic is really in SoCal this summer.

Today, the dogs are going to the vet to get their shots so they can stay at the Doggie Hotel, and I started summer school. This is my first job as an administrator, and all I can think about is our cruise. I need to get my head in the game.
