I bought the audiovox portable dvd for my kids on bf from Target. Does anyone have one already and know what kind or shape battery it takes? From the package it looks like a long cylinder that hooks onto the back of the player. I have a similar kawasaki dvd player and was hoping they used the same kind of battery. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

We have one of those, but we bought it from BJ's about a year ago. It is a long cylinder type that hooks on the back of it. But ours came with the battery, case, 2 headphones, and all of the cords to either plug it into the wall or car charger or TV. It lasts for about 2 hours. On the back it just says Audiovox Rechargable Battery Pack 7.2V and also has RBN-300 (maybe this is the model # ?).

We just went to AZ a couple of weeks ago, and ended up buying one of those extended batteries that lasts 8 hours. It certainly made flying a long flight worth the extra money for that. My DD(2) was occupied the entire flight. This was our first flight over 2 hours and I was surprised at how well she really did.

Maybe you can check on the audiovox website if they have one, or contact Audiovox Electronics Corporation, or even ebay to find one.

Good Luck and I hope any info I gave you can help

I bought a portable dvd player (an Audiovox one also) from Target on BF and mine came with the battery. Did you get the 9 inch screen one that was one sale for $98? If you did, it should of come with the battery, it was suppose to be included with it. We bought ours for our DD who is 2 1/2 so when we go one trips she can watch her dvds. I spend all day watching Dora the Explorer and I can't tell you hoow many times I've watched The Santa Clause movie with Tim Alllen in it since I bought it about 2 weeks ago. She almost knows every word in the movie!!!!

I'd recommend that you open the package, take everything out, ensure you have everything you are supposed to have, and charge the battery so the player will be ready to use on Christmas when the gift is unwrapped. Otherwise, it may have to set and charge for several hours before it can be used. It is also a good idea to verify that it works properly so you can exchange it before Christmas. :thumbsup2

I bought one too and mine came with the battery as well. Yes its a long cylinder shaped one that plugs into it.

I bought one of these also from Target last Friday for my mom. I just checked it. It does include the battery.
