I want to visit here after the park is shut on our first day to stock up on some food.

Does anyone know what time DLP stop the shuttle service from the hotels? Or what time the latest shuttle bus back is?

Is it hard to get the train there? I really DO NOT want to get lost.

Also i read somewhere that the security guards staple bags together, i guess i cant take my own plastic bags then.

I'm having nightmares over this as i dont leave the Disney bubble when I'm there but i want to save money this trip and a visit to the supermarket is my only way.

Anyone know how much a taxi would cost?:lmao:

I can only answer you on one of your points, yes the security guard at the supermarket does staple any other bags together, they did this with purchases we had made in other stores.
I very vaguely remember reading somewhere (although at the moment it escapes me where) that from the train station you then get a bus to Val D'Europe, hopefully someone else will be able to help more.

Actually I can help more, the hotel shuttle buses (Navette) give you a ticket and by some chance I actually got to keep one (they normally take them off you).
On the back it says:

Last shuttle departure at 19:00hrs (time subject to change) - now it doesn't explain if that's the last departure from the hotel or from La Vallee Village Welcome Centre.

Would they do this with empty plastic bags? I don't fancy spending a fortune on plastic bags at the Auchan.

Thanks Diane.

hiya,

The train it so easy only 1 stop when you come out of the train station turn right and you will see it ,its about a min walk. Yes they do staple bags together but your empty tesco bag should be fine:lmao:

Its a pretty big mall so be warned the money you save on snacks maybe spent else where in the centre:lmao: I luv val'deurope id seriously consider staying in hotel val'deurope just because it right across the street from it.

You can take your own plastic bags- we always do in France. they dont staple them all together - it is usually just if you have bought things from other shops they seal the bag so you cant sneak anything else in.

When we were in dlp in june we went over most eves after the park closed at 7pm, all the shops stay open till 9pm the shops in the outlet village close at 7pm for that reason i reckon the shuttle bus your talking about ,last one leaves at 7pm from the outlet village,as that actually drops you at the outlet village not the shopping centre doe they are right nxt to each other.

You wont get lost you cant possibly, you get on at the end of the line disney station you get off at the next stop val'deurope, trains leave every 10min or less maybe. we use head back around 10pm we would eat after shopping and think the trains were every 20mins.

So there is a shopping centre and a outlet village, i thought they was the same thing :lmao:

Is it easy to find the train to get there? the non eurostar part of the station is scary looking..lots of people and signs i don't understand :rotfl:

Yes the shopping centre is indoors with the large supermarket and shops on 2 floors. The outlet village is outside at one end of it.

The train is easy to find - follow the signs to Paris. All trains from there go towards Paris and you get off at the first stop

And I was very excited to see you could take your trolleys up the moving walkways/escalators......till my mum told me they had them at Asda.....

The restaurants are much cheaper at Val D'Europe too Emma, and a great choice. Even just a bakery if you want.

I have HB vouchers so i dont need to worry about dinner, its lunch time im worrying about :rotfl:

I got excited when i saw the walkway escalators in Asda aswell :lmao: It was the highlight of my trip there.

If you don't hear from me after my trip im probably lost :rotfl:

I could have spent all day in that supermarket! We made two trips there and it certainly worked out cheaper to get drinks and snacks from there, we bought very little food in the parks (apart from ice cream at Gibson Girls and Fantasia Gelati) and only a couple of drinks.

How long did you spend in there Diane, Is everything easy to find?

I think i'm going to have to take my friend who works at DLRP with me at this rate, he can at least hold my shopping bags :lmao:

A taxi is about 13 euro. You could always jump on the shuttle bus heading to the Adagio or the Val D'Europe ...they never check if you have to pay or anything :)

How far is the supermarket from the Val D'europe hotel, bit cheeky but sound good if not too far!

Yep, 13 euro one way :scared1:

No idea how far the Auchan is from the Val D'Europe hotel as I don't know where that is :rotfl: It is literally 2mins from the Adagio into the centre, and then about 6hrs to get to the Auchan as you stop to browse in every shop on the way :rotfl2:

13 euros for a 5 min taxi ride is a rip off. :scared1:

I know - we discovered the hard way on a freezing afternoon in January when there was a 50min wait for the shuttle. My DH goes to France a lot with work and taxis are always expensive - he is always charged around 65 Euro for a 15min drive.
