My wife contacted a place called Attractions Wholesale Travel, which is a site she found on the web. She was able to get a 2 bedroom condo at the Wyndham Palms Resort for $ 99 + tax per night, including breakfast...but a timeshare tour is mandatory. This is for 4 nights in mid January. I can put up with the tour for the good rate. But has anybody gone through Attractions Wholesale Travel before ??? How far is the Wyndham Palms from WDW??? I believe past posts have given good reviews to the resort. I want to make sure I am not missing anything here...thanks.

We stayed at Wyndham Palms this last weekend. It is very nice. We got a 1 bedroom off www.hotelkingdom.com for $49 a night, no timeshare tour required. We were about 2 miles to the Disney gate.

I've not heard anything about the travel company you mentioned. $99 seems awfully high for a timeshare promo. Are you going during a holiday period?

Yeah, I have to agree with Pooh Girl, $99 for a timeshare promotional deal seems high to me too - I'd have thought you could get a better direct rate than that using a site such as HotelKingdom.

I know it's not the Wyndham, but my partner and I have booked a 3 bed condo at the Windsor Palms, a mile or so further west down the US 192, for 16 nghts from Boxing Day thru to Jan 11th, 16 nights, and we are paying $ 100 a night inc. taxes.

That's a bigger place, at a peak time and we are paying the same as you would be with the hassle of the Timeshare hard sell !

I'd check out rates with HotelKingdom, DreamsUnlimited, etc, before committing to that offer...

Good Luck !

How many people will you need to accomodate on your stay? $99 plus tax will equate to around $112 per night. That seems very high for a Disney area resort requiring a time share presentation. We stayed at the Wyndham Palms last year with my B-I-L and his wife and they were stuck doing the required presentation. The timing for the "tour" was close to noon, which really was bad timing, and it was a very hard sell presentation. (They are already RCI owners and were truly not interested in buying, and let them know it...but the presentation continued to the end nonetheless). The free breakfast is ONLY on the day of the time share sales pitch and was nothing much to speak of anyway. I really think you can find a much better deal. Resonably priced resort/hotel rooms in the WDW area are as plentiful as you will find anywhere else on Earth!

me thinkd you can do better also. check out other sites. Heck we are renting a 4 bedroom 3 bath villa with own pool from 12-20 tru 1-10 for 120.00 a night that includes tax. Keep looking!!!!!

We booked through wholesale travel, and they were fine. Everything went smoothly and was billed correctly. The timeshare tour is very tough, long and unpleasant. Just thought you should know.
