From what I hear it is completely random in the way that they assign us. Just based on need I guess. What I did though was I emailed them and told DCP that I wanted a more showy attraction like the Jungle Cruise or Turtle Talk with Crush, something more interactive with the guests. They sent me back an email saying that they noted my request but it didn't guarantee me in any specific role by any means.

ya i assumed it was probably random. They did ask me quite a few questions in my interview about my experience in public speaking and things along those lines so hopefully that will count for something and would help getting a more interactive attraction. I also thought the great movie ride would be great too! here's hoping!

I'm currently in attractions at the Great Movie Ride. I got lucky, and got my first choice (I had requested working at GMR). I absolutely love it here

Yay attractions I'm currently at Idol in DHS, and loving it.

I think the placement is random, but they do take requests into account. I requested GMR, or if not, then an attraction in DHS. and I got Idol, which is obviously in dhs!

I really enjoy it, and definitely planning on staying seasonal after my program ends

well i know im not old enough to be on these boards or work at WDW yet i hope you dont mind me posting here. I would like to be one of the cast members who tell people where things are and walk around the park i dont want a desk job but the only problem with me doing that is im not a very great people person i mean im not bad it just dosent take much to set me off i will improve on that with some help from my GF and somthing i hope i dont need to wear is dino land USA ToT and GMR other wise i would be fine

Then don't be an attractions cast member. The role you described sounds like Custodial to me.

Hey guys! I'm currently a CP at Big Thunder Mountain Railroad at Magic Kingdom and I LOVE it! Working at Thunder means you're constantly busy and you always have something to do or a guest to talk to. You most likely won't be doing the same thing all day.

During my CP interview, I actually was asked where I wanted to work. Since I wasn't sure what role I was going to get and I hadn't really thought of where specifically I wanted to work, I said that I wanted to be at Magic Kingdom. I said that Fantasyland might be fun since I love that area of the park and I love the princesses. Now I'm glad that I wasn't placed in Fantasyland, but I do think there's a chance that I was placed at Thunder since I said I would love to be at Magic Kingdom.

Hey guys! I'm Mike, I was a part of Attractions a couple years ago at WDW. When I had my phone interview they asked me what attractions are my favorite/which ones I would love to work on so I told them that being a theatre major anything with a speil sounds appealing. I think if you are enthusiastic enough in your interview, have some sort of justification for your request, and are a good cp candidate in general you have a shot at your requested attraction. My number one was Jungle Cruise, and I got it!
